Aol Lost Or Cancelled All Of My E-mail From March 25 Until Today March 29. I Have Called Them Five Times. First They Said They Would Recover And Put Back, They Lied. I Have Since Called All Afternoon And They Either Don't Answer The Phone Or Answer And Hang Up When I Ask About My Missing E-mail And What Happened. If This Is Customer Service I Am In The Wrong Country. Fast Friendly Customer Service Is A Joke And Probably The Same Person Answering The Phone Every Time I Call After I Wait For Over 30 Minutes At A Time. Rude And Abusive Mistreatment Of Paying Customer.

I have a major problem with AOL. My name appears on my buddy list all the time even when I close down my computer and also close down my wifi. I have call AOL tech support many times and they were unable to help me. I have called the CEO of AOL and got no call back at all. I have written to the CEO of AOL and still no response. About two weeks ago someone from AOL tech support called me and they check my computer and said indeed this is an AOL problem and they will resolve the problem and they would get back to me in two days. Never heard from them. Still having this major problem. Both of my sisters and friends have informed that my name never goes off my buddy list.

Your monthly fee is getting out of hand. I have been one of your Users for many years and even though I despise your political sway, remainded faithful. Please tell me why I should keep paying this much every month. I hung in there even after the Huffingon acquistion. Trying desperately to keep you as my service. Too Pricey & Not Objective. Doing a lot better though. You may hate the sign off but for all your great service, Thank You and God Bless. Please let me know if you can be of more service so I am not forced to cancel. Thanks Again.

Dear AOL,

As an AOL member since 1996, I must express my complete disappointment and total disgust with the recent actions and events regarding my account. On April 21, 2013 I was unable to sign into my account, so on the next business day I began calling to get some resolution, only to find out my account was closed by AOL. No reason was given. I have never been late with my monthly payment. So to have my account closed without warning and disregard to any related billing and important business contacts attached to my email address of 16 years is so frustrating. After calling AOL for more than 4 weeks, no resolution has yet to be performed by tech support or billing, I continue to get the same run around.
I have been promised call backs on many occasions by supervisors and yet to receive one. I'm so disappointed in the lack of concern regarding such and important customer issue. I expected more from AOL and have been let down. I think the situation could have been handled differently. I believe if my account was going to be closed by AOL, they should have provided a warning or given me the courtesy of given my contacts from my address book so that I could inform my contacts of a new way to contact me. Instead now all my incoming emails are bouncing back to the senders.
I know that I'm only one person, one customer but I have been loyal and on time with my payment for 16 years. At this point I'm not sure what can be done or if anyone in the corporation would really care about the bind and aggravation this has caused me. It might be too late for me or my account issue to be resolved, but maybe this could be a learning lesson for AOL for future customer service lessons and ways to retain customers.

Don't know if you wil let this go through or not. Just called in last Wed. to discontinue AOL as couild get no more free access nunbers for dial up, so had to go to another company to be able to get on line. Got hooked up with some tech support in India. Could bearly understand them. Main guys name was Frank his puppet Andrew. Phone number: 1-800-876-4950 Was on with them for hour and a half. Just exhausted and frustrated by time I got off. First of all they told me I had to pay up front $79.99 so they could get me off AOL,(is thar true???) then Frank proceeded to sign me up for a monthly payment program on Pay Pal and he never really gave me an answer why seeing I was to pay the whole #79.99 at once. They asked me not only for my credit card number, which I could see they had to do to get monthly payment off my credit card, but then asked for my bank account number and route number which I don't feel they should have done. Had that done to me a couple years ago and the people cleaned out our checking account. Took me 7 months to get it straighted out. Have been very disturbed over that ever since I gave it to him. Watching bank account very closely. They couldn't give me any definite answers on why they needed all this information just to get off AOL. then when I tried to get back on AOL to get my adderss book off e-mail I was blocked as they said I couldn't answer my security question. Think that was just an excuse and you came up with your own answers that wasn't even close to mine so you could get rid of me. that was plain to see. I have been a good customer of yours for 9 years now and can't believe I was treated this way. I will never recommend you to anybody and I want my $79.99 back and want my checking act. number and route number destroyed. Want somebody to give me a good answer why you collected it from me and why you took my bank account number. Haven't slept good since this all happened last Wed. Scared to death. I feel I am owed a big apology.

Please ditch the image of the American flag when I sign in if you want to keep me as a customer!!! When did that suddenly appear?? What is your intention by displaying that image? Unfortunately it's become associated with right wing patriotism that I don't subscribe to and I resent you forcing that on me! There is no place for that on your site.

I have been a satisfied customer using my aol account for many years. Today, I read from the cover page of my aol, that because there was a breach of security into aol from a third party, it was suggested I change my password. When the security question was asked and I had filled that out so long ago I couldnt remember my answer. I was locked out and said I needed to wait to reset. I was nervous someone had my password, so I attempted to CONTACT a live representative but found out I needed to upgrade my account and pay for the live associate. I googled a telephone number and finally after 45 minutes of a round circle received a live rep, in which I was told I needed permission from my husband to be able to go into the account. another avenue of a disaster ensued and to no avail. I was told by a person who gave his name as Christian Soleman to call a number and we could get this straighted out to allow me to access to change my password. Obviously he just wanted me off the phone and it became another dead end!!! I have never had issued with aol and have always enjoyed your services, but what has happened today (8/13) is absolutely an embaressment to your company! It is an unfortunate experience that after looking into other comments about your company has recently become common place as an issue. I am not sure what has changed but if it means contact media to get the word out to other aol users so this does not happen to them, then I will do so. I expect to be contacted to now explain not just the issue of the problem of changing passwords but also the frustration of your company and its lack of customer relations!
