Purchased an eBook at your local B&N Store in Bismarck, ND for my friend who has a Kindle. Asked the clerk specifically if it will work on the Kindle!
She assured me that all is well and sold me the access code. I mailed it to my friend for Christmas as a present. After going trough trouble finding out that your books only work on Kindle Fire I went back to the store with the unused used or unusable access code where store manager
behind the Nook Display informed me that eBooks are not refundable...
It seems since it is fairly easy for you as a seller to re trace that your code was unused or was downloaded that I was provided with poor service and no goods in exchange for my funds! I still believe that some one must have competence at B&N and be able to help me with the issue at hand.

By the way I am a Nook owner and love my device!

I tried to place an order with Barnes and Noble on line and received a message stating I need to contact someone about the order. When I called I reach the Philippines and since I feel very strongly especially at this time when so many Americans are out of work including myself, I asked to talk to someone in The U.S.. I was transferred to a person in the fraud department and told me he couldn't help me. My order was canceled. Today I tried again and my order said the same thing I needed to contact customer service. What is going on my credit card is goo, my address is good. I will try and call New York today and see what is going on, is someone trying to get my credit card info. The order is for only $3.65. Since I tried to do this again I cannot use my coupon again. If I could I would of ordered more items. I am rethinking if I want to use Barnes and Nobel in the future.

Barnes and Nobel Nook Company needs some serious HELP!!
I was told never to got the nook but no I said they should be good I love the store. Well the store is the only good thing. I made the mistake of viewing the People Mag. and ended up getting billed for 6 months of it and could not get it stopped me like an idot thought to leave the card on the account and BN would take care of me.....THey can see I never even OPENED the magazine for 6 months what more proof do they want. And then I get a programed response.....of which I am sure you can guess what it was!!!! I am not done yet!

Why do you offer pre-orders, when most of the time you don't have the item to ship. I like audio books on the mp3-cd format, my last four pre-orders I waited anywhere from two weeks to two months before the items came. I was told for this new order I placed was the release date had changed, but guess what I saw at Walmart and Target the book format for Thankless in death(know problems with book format coming on time). I was given this same excuse before,along with the ware house didn't have it, order lost. So I ask again why bother pre-ordering when you can't fulfill the order. It's bad enough that the orders are shipped out on the release date instead of a day or two before, so you get it on the release date like you did in the past.

I really was reluctant to renew my membership, with no membership discount on nook books and orders not coming on time, but showing up in the stores. I have two pre-orders on mp3-cd yet to come I hope this problem will finally be resolved for any future orders I have.

I just took a really long time to complete a survey about my experience at a B&N store. I answered all the questions several times. There were toooooooooo many repetitive questions. I was honest about my experience and I could not complete the survey because I did not want to complete my personal address. So, all that time and efforts were a time not well spent.
I do not like paying for a membership, but I do. I overpaid for a magazine. I enjoyed my experience at a store. The staff was great and most attentive.
I wanted to tell you that. Because I did not want to give you my address, my survey did not go through. I will not complete another survey and may not rejoin.

I am having the same problem. For 2 weeks I have been told that a replacement was on the way. Hasn't happened. Does anyone at Barnes and Noble know what they are doing. I have called Corporate Upper Management all day today and leave messages and no one is getting back to me. I am, for the 11th time, on the phone with someone. I wish I had never purchased this Nook Color.

I am very upset with this company. They would not know the truth if it hit them in the face. I purchased two color nooks at $169 a piece. I had to save hard for this as I am on a limited income. From the start they were nothing but trouble. I took them in to the store (an hour by buss - I have a medical condition that no longer allows me to drive). By the time I received all the run a rounds, it was too late to exchange them for new ones.
Instead several months ago, they exchanged them for two used ones - certified. They had to find five before they could find two that worked.
Now they are worse then ever. They freeze, jump to other books when you turn pages, etc. I contacted everyone I could. They were rude and even told me to "junk the old ones and buy the new HD". How am I supposed to do that when I am on a limited income. I take care of two elderly parents. One has cancer & the other going blind and an invalid. I finally contacted (who claimed to be) the vice president in charge of customer service at the head office. I told her I was going to the media. She put me on hold for twenty minutes and came back and told me they would ship out two certified nooks (only with improved upgrades on the inside that the original did not have). No HD, I did not care about that. I was told they would ship on Monday and I would have them on Tuesday. Nothing happened. I spent another two hours being bounced around and told only one would arrive on Thursday and given a tracking number by a woman who barely could be understood (so the number was wrong). She finally found the order for the second one and said it would be shipped end of week and I would receive it next week. Nothing happened on Thursday and so I called and ended up speaking with at least a dozen people. One said they found the information and it was just late. He transferred me to someone else who then said there was no record of a replacement. I am so sick of this. I WILL GO TO THE MEDIA and let them warn others not to buy from you and maybe they can get some action. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!! They do not stand behind their products (Oh and I was also told by one person that the ones I received - without the improvements - had proven to have nothing but problems from the start).

I Was At At The Barns And Noble On International Speed Way In Daytona Beach Fl And My Time Started Out Pretty Good Until I Ordered Some Food And A Smoors Tart Started Eating Loved It And Only Got To Eat Half Before I Pulled A Sharp Piece Of Plastic Out Of My Mouth Now I No The Deserts Are Brought In On A Truck To Sell But I Could Have Choked To Death On It So I Went To Cafe Were Ayoung Lady Named Annie C Had Taken My Order And Asked Her To Take A Look At The Plastic In My Tart And She Could Of Cared Less I Just Didnt Want This To Happen To Any One Else That She Should Take The Rest Out Of Cold Case Just Incase Theres More And Took Plastic Piece From Me And To Discard Rest Of Pie In Trash So I Did But She Didnt Seem To Want To Even Want To Fix It By Saying Sorry For My Bad Experince And Refund My Money Or A Different Desert So I Found Some Ladyies Over At The Book Counter A Tall Lady With Dark Straight Hair And A Red Curly Haired Lady And Told Them The Same Thing About Plastic In My Desert But Ofcourse It Was Almost Closing Time And They Treated Me Bad As Well Had No Good Customer Service At All I Would Have Been Pleased If They Would Have Just Cared Enough To Ask Me If I Was Ok And That Their Sorry For My Experince And Offerd To Refund My Money Or A Different Desert To Make Me Want To Come Back As A Customer No That Wasent To Much To Ask From Good Workers .

well i have been getting the run around for the last 3 weeks. told it was being sent out on nov. 15 wasn't and no e-mail. called last mon. was told it was being sent out on nov. 25 well still no word on it. called today and said it was being sent out today well it was again. why so much run around and lied to. was on phone 20 mins. then i was dis connected and called back on phone another 10 in. till i was told oh it will be shipped out by the end of the day and well it wasn't.

I love my nook, but I have had to replace my charger cord twice .I think it would be a smart idea to have the plug on top instead of on the bottom. The plug bends bends when reading while plugged in.I hope you would consider moving the plug. Thank you.

warranty on nook stinks. I purchased full protection and am now told you can only use once for any problem. I have recommended the nook to many people up to now, but will not any longer.
