I purchased 2 Pomeranians puppies on Craiglist and never received from Melissa Dawson out of Lanham, Maryland. They were supposed to arrive on Jan 08 at 0800 from Alon Remedy Travel. Since, them I have seen 4 different adds for the same Pomeranians today (Jan 09). T Have filed police report and FBI report to bring charges against these individuals.

why do u protect the criminals... I bought a stove and fridge from a man on here in Lansing il. I paid 550 plus delivery. He gave me the wrong stove and wrong refrigarator. The fridge dint get cold. I have a been trying to get a response from craigslist with abuse and fraud to craigslist stystem no one will respond or call me they send me the same generated text 1 second after I spent 3 hrs gathering the info most of the Id addresses and states they was posted in and it is intent of stealing my business and customers we deal with in every state out company deliverers nation wide to our customers, this other person or company are using my product pictures and some have my warehouse and employees in them and they selling a whole different brand so I will be reliable if something happens because their customers think they are getting my product which they are not.She is using illegal ip addresses and proxy servers to cover the United States with these adds I even gave the Craigslist authorities the info that she is using. I have lost appx. 60,000 a week with her doing this and stealing my customers,and I can get no help from craigslist but yet everyone is suppose to go by rules and she also flags every add my sales people put out there because she has all the different ip addresses for every state to do it with

I used to use Craigslist in Minneapolis all the time with no trouble. Now it comes up as an unrecognized unsecure site. When I say its okay anyway I'll take the risk it still doesn't work. A list that I have never seen in a style I've never seen. It just refuses to go to any listings. It seems like it is totally punked in some fashion. I've tried and tried and I just can't get it to work.

I am curious how to report a potential scammer to you? I have had responses to two different adds, over a year apart, that are quite suspicious. Both times, the response ask what time I would be home, where item for sale is located, and stated they were out of the area but someone would contact me to make arrangements to meet.

I am a old disabled veteran (74) and apparently I broke some rules or offended someone at craigslist. I really don't know what I did but my account has been cancelled/hold without any warning or explanation.
I make a little extra income, not much, but it helps selling stuff I no longer need and craigslist has really been a big help to me.
I plead for forgiveness and ask that my account be restored and will make a special effort not to offend anyone.
(It would help if I knew what I did wrong.)

I would like to request that Craigslist refuse to accept any Puppy/Puppies For Sale listings any further. I work very hard in my community to keep animals out of the shelter and in responsible homes and it appears that craigslist is the number one most successful method for backyard breeders to sell their wanted and unwanted offspring. If these listings were removed and these people had little access to sales of their puppies they would STOP breeding these dogs. Some of the dogs end up in good homes, but a large number of them end up abused, neglected and abandoned. This practice and the support of craigslist needs to end.

I am begging you not to accept ads for animals anymore. Last year in central Massachusetts, for example, there was a horrendous case of a dog being tortured almost to death: beaten, burned, stabbed, gouged in her eyes. She was dumped in a public park near death and because of her extensive and severe injuries, had to be euthanized. She was dubbed "Puppy Doe" and she was believed to have been a "free to good home" offer on Craigslist. I'm sure she was not an isolated case:

Please do not accept ads for animals on Craigslist, whether for sale or "free to good home."

There is something innately wrong with a company that appears to continue to ignore the level of fraud being done through their site!

Either they don't care, aren't prepared to deal with it or can't stop it. Smart people built this site, smart people should be interested in protecting their users..Just my opinion

You can ONLY respond by email and if the post is gone, you can't submit a fraud complaint. Even law enforcement has to submit via email or fax-by the way-who has one or even uses a fax machine anymore...

PLEASE FORWARD TO YOUR LEGAL DEPARTMENT.
I am imploring you to immediately remove all dogs/puppies/cats/kittens from your pet section. It has become obvious to all that you do not and cannot moderate this category. I have filed various complaints with my OAG (FL), in which they have taken my complaint under advisement. The USOAG, in which they forwarded complaint to various other governmental agencies (one of those being your own District Attorney San Fran). I believe and at this point you are COMPLICIT to these backyard breeders, these UNQUALIFIED, UNLICENSED, AND UN TAXED, backyard breeders. An ad that ran 10/25 in Atlanta Georgia for the (highly illegal and federal offense) for owls and red tail hawks, was sent to the Georgia Natural Resources (by me) in which they did investigate to only find a scammer located in Texas. Nonetheless this ad proves that you DO NOT AND CANNOT moderate (or you just don't care). Along with your backyard breeder free forum is the occasional deviate shopping your (yes, YOUR) site for their next victim. Be it pit bull bait, something to crush, or something to vent their hatred upon. Along with the "thought I wanted a puppy/kitten and now I don't and really don't care where animal ends up as long as it is not here" poster with the "re-homing fee which ranges from zero to thousands of dollars (against your TOU). WE (animal owners) all have access to shelters and rescues that have a higher degree of placement than "a small re-homing fee" so this category serves no public need nor interest and is at this time, counterproductive to animal rights. I am asking you to take the higher road on this and by your own social responsibility accept no further ads that contain the words, dog, puppies, cats, kittens or any breed of such. Surely you people have a heart and cannot disagree nor defend this misuse of your site, and YOU ARE COMPLICIT. Just as I cannot have a group of people come to my house and sell/do drugs, although "I told them not to"....does not work that way, legally, and guess who is going to court? (I hoped you guessed me). YOU have the opportunity to look like the "good guys" by taking this initiative to remove our furry friends from your site and I do hope that you take this socially responsible action and make millions of people happy while keeping millions of animals safe, while assisting us as a society to end this illegal backyard breeding. I do not intend to threaten you but I can PROMISE you that death and only death will stop me from this "mission". As I started this letter, so far ALL agencies are behind this movement and I will continue my complaints. (side note, I am rather successful in my arguments, only because I only argue for RIGHT). Possibly, no not possibly . Definitely the worst customer service in the history of corporations from the beginning of time. I have had issues with CL for over a year and have emailed their so called "help" desk 11-12 times now and have NEVER received a reply. I finally tried phong their customer service line, where a message tells you they don't deal with customer service issues by phone, you must email. So apparently, since they don't respond to email either, this is a way to have no customer service dept period. The CL site is great when working properly, but otherwise plays host to thousands of scammers and criminals-----and cannot even reach out with the most minimal help to legitimate users when needed. The site should go on-------under entirely new mgmt. The founder and all current employees and financial backers belong in prison.

CL has becoming nothing more than a Puppy Mill for back-yard breeders and something needs to be done about it. A reputable breeder only breeds for the health standard and temperament of the animal. They would NEVER post their litters anywhere but on their kennel websites. People are selling under-aged pups (less than 7 weeks); sick puppies and Designer Pups (what the heck is that??) for a very high "re-homing" fee. CL rules clearly states "No sales of Litters" and "small-re-homing fee". Either CL needs to change their rules or enforce them. Dogs are being put down DAILY because of this.

CL is garbage.. dealers posting in owners.. postings all over the place and left if flagged.. can't get just owner ads.. you have to go through all of the ads.. this is tiring and I'm tired of CL. You don't remove anything against the rules when reported as abuse.. so why have rules ? Your pages are going to hell in a hand basket.. and I for one will no longer buy nor bother with CL.. there are too many other avenues to use to get things.

A class action suit should definitely be persued for discrimination. They allow whoever they feel entitled to post to do so and others are flagged by anonymous moderators. I've been a loyal craigslist user for years and recently, after filing a complaint, 95% of my ads are being blocked. Their corporate office is unreachable by any method. This has got to be some sort of legal violation, as Craigslist is an actual Incorporated business. Isn't a grievance procedure required?

I think craigslist inaction puts the organization in a legally vulnerable position; it is repeatedly informed about, and has proof of, offenses that violate local and interstate laws, and still refuses to sanction the offenders or act to protect its readers. It deserves to be sued.

Craigslist has multiple scammers selling vehicles that don't exist. I have been burned for 8k and have seen many more since but Yakima has a guy who can flag all by himself and then CL takes over and keeps the legitimate listings from being posted.

How great is that? They protect and serve Scammers and Trolls..

On the plus side I have seen a reduction in CL Listings..I guess I am not the only one tired of Craigslist

I purchased a 1947 Bentley from Chico Craigslist on Jan 30 (The day it was posted.)and asked the seller to remove his add ASAP as part of the deal. The car has been cleaned up and repairs made to prepare it for resell. I had several offers to purchase the car but the buyers keep backing out because the car is still listed for sale by the previous owner and people think it is a scam and back out of the purchase. I have lost a lot of money do to the fact that he will not remove his posting. I have call half a dozen or more times to make contact with no answer or return calls. I've flagged it every day for over 11 days and nothing happens. Posting is still there!! Please HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

Unbelieveable the game of "Hide-in-go-seek" with Craigslist.
I have used them for more then five years and suddenly I have been closed out from reposting and after 5-help e-mails to them with no response and one return to sendor letter from their web-page address it seems that Craigslist have a real issue with their business in the area of communication.

it is really crummy that you insolate yourself from feedback from your consumers. if we have a problem, and contact you, we get an automated response. if we are persistent, you close our account so as not to be bothered.

currently, it is that have been indicated as posted, never get on the board. others are flagged before even appearing, yet in no way violate your TOU. it is 130pm here and there are four posts normally there should be 40 or more.

My daughters boyfriend just got shot trying to buy a motorcycle. I have heard several times just recently where people saw an add on craigslist and they responded only to get hurt. I want to know if you all be able to take buyers official state identification cards to scan on your system before a transaction of sale is made. Too many people are getting hurt. Even women who dated men, these people should have to show some official identification. I don't have a screen name of craigslist but I do really like the site. Many of my family and friends have purchased your products with no problems. Keep up the good work and it's time to ID! You can contact me should you desire.

I have been a craislist user for sometime and concur with some of the comments posted. Craigslist has gone down hill with service and security. My ads are constantly flagged and removed by god knows who and why. My ads conform with the TOS. Yet other postings who blatently violate the pornographic and obscene sections of the TOS are left running. Someone told me that it only takes one craigslist user to flag your posting. Another thing is that my replies to my postings are from spammers and scammers. Sad that Craigslist has deterioated into such a useless site.

I too cannot post a free add for Folding Mountain Bike. I get email thanking me for the post and a link when I finish the posting to see the add but it does not actually post on the website even after refreshing their website page etc. I have used CL many times and know what I'm doing but this add will not post and shows as Active on my account page. I tried 3 times deleting the previous ones, then wait a week to repost or write another and the same happens, nothing but shows as active! You can't call and talk to someone only get generic automated emails back with links to useless help pages and forums. Frustrated and wondering when is someone going to come up with a good service website to sell legit things.

Posted ad for sale of a trailer...received several e-mails from a Matthew Connell about selling, going to send check etc...received a check from a food distribution company in mail today...called bank good check, but called company to ask what check was payment for...they have someone who hacked into their account, routing number etc, and is issuing checks in their name, check would have been paid, good account, they have received several calls about this...supervisor calling me back tomorrow and I am going to give them Connell's name etc..maybe you guys there should check this out...several listings for trailers Connell "was going to buy"....

have been trying to post a paid ad. I was blocked from doing this as I came to find out that my account is on "HOLD". I haven't used craigslist in a long time. I tried to open a new account with the same and only email address I have. I have called and emailed. Just got auto emails and you do not get to speak to a person when calling. This has been very frustrating as I need to post for a business I just started.

The numbers listed for Craigslist do not work. They just refer you to their web site, and the web site is of no help. Craigslist is the most unhelpful site on-line.
