DeLonghi Corporate Office Comments

I am VERY disappointed in this company!! I purchased two Pinquino portable air conditioners in 2020; $1200 for both. One is working fine, the other works for 30 minutes or so and needs to be emptied. I called DeLonghi and the cs person said I would be getting a replacement as I was still in warranty, after a couple of weeks of not hearing anything I called back and they said I needed to send a video of what my machine was doing, I sent it...then I was told that it was operating normally....after a long conversation with the cs person, I am mortified that they could honestly tell me that this was 'normal' and the air was very humid on only one side of my house!! I explained that I have an LG portable A/C in the bedroom, drawing air in from the same side of the building as the DeLonghi (that needs to be emptied every half hour), and it runs 24/7 in the New England summer and it has NEVER needed to be emptied, nor has the other Pinquino that is on the upper level of my VERY OPEN floor plan home!

I guess their exterior design is what this company is all about....if it looks pretty and runs like junk or breaks in less than a year that is ok!! You have LOST a customer DeLonghi and I will continue to tell EVERY PERSON I meet and know about the the terrible treatment I was given....we have SO MANY CHOICES now, I will spend my money on better products.

I purchased a DeLonghi portable air conditioner on June the 8th 2021 came home took it out the box ready to install and the parts are missing no window kit to install it in the window and a couple more items are missing they said they will order them for me and mail them to me I need the parts today not next week or week after I will be returning back to Sam's club today it's a headache already with this product and it's too heavy to be toten back to the store because they failed to make sure all the parts were in the box. I had to pay someone to deliver it for me now I have to pay them to take it back for me very very unsatisfied.

Bought a delonghi coffee, espresso maker with frother. Worst product ever. Takes forever to get the steam to froth the milk - coffee ends up cold. The unit leaks from 2 areas in the back. Since I bought the unit 1 1/2 yrs ago the company will not honor my complaint and said there is only a year warranty. They do not stand behind their products. I paid over $179.00 for this piece of crap. Will never buy anything from delonghi again

Bought 2 Delonghi radiant heaters. The boxes arrived in perfect shape. One heater had the paint peeling, the other heater had bent fins and the main metal plate on the front was bent in and the sticker with all the information was put over the bent frame, not a scratch on the sticker so that is the way it was put together. Called Delonghi customer service, waited 1/2 hour and then talked to a guy who didn't care, according to him it was UPSs fault and Home Depots fault. The shipping boxes were in perfect shape and the white tape with all the information on it about the heaters that they put on the box to guarantee that it has not been tampered with was not cut which is the only way to get into the box. Delonghi did nothing but blame everyone else. Glad I bought them via Home
Depot, I can return them to the Home Depot store and get my money back.

No customer service at this company. No way to contact the corporate offices to resolve anything with this company. This was the firt time I contacted Delonghi. I tried to purchase one item but it became impossible. I was placed on hold two times and no one came back on the line.

Avoid buying DeLonghi products here in the US. Customer service is bad.

Dear DeLonghi representative reading this e-mail.

I contacted the Delonghi call center regarding the below theft of my air conditioner. The Delonghi call center representative that I called mentioned that someone would call me back the next day, but it has now been a week since this phone call and no one has called yet...so I wanted to leave a note here in the hopes that someone will care to read this and make amends to what happened to me.

In the summer of 2010, I purchased to Delonghi air conditioner...the cost was close to 700$ I remember. It came with a one year warranty. Before the one year warranty was over, my air conditioner stopped working. So, I called the Delonghi call center for a list of places which will service my air-conditioner under it's warranty. The Delonghi call center provided me with the address and location of the service and repair center that I was told would repair my air conditioner under warranty.

I went to this service and repair shop that your company directed me towards. I brought in my receipt to this service and repair shop as I was told to do to show proof that it was still under the one year warranty period. I left both my air-conditioner as well as my receipt with the Delonghi repair person at this service center as both he and your company requested that I do. Two months later, I still did not have my air-conditioner returned...moreover, when I would call in to this service shop to see if my air-conditioner was ready for pick up, the two people that I was in touch with at this service shop said that I did not remember receiving this air-conditioner and nor could they find it anywhere in the shop. This was obviously concerning to me, and when I obviously did not accept this as their final answer, they tried to brush me off by saying I was calling at a busy and inconvenient time and to call back another day. When I would call back a few days later, again, I received the same story, to call back at a later date..at a more convenient time. When I once again tried to call back, and was still met with the same response once again, I refused to keep doing this and insisted that someone find my air-conditioner and proceed to call me back asap since obviously I expect to receive my air-conditioner back at some point. Again to one called back...but due to my persistence, I was eventually told to come and pick up a replacement for my air-conditioner. I was told that they were unable to fix my air-conditioner and I was also unable to get my air conditioner back. I was instead sent home with a different air-conditioner which I was told was the same quality.

By the time I finally came home with this "replacement" air conditioner, the one year warranty period was over. The air-conditioner I was sent home with did not work either...it did not cool the place down and caused great flooding on the living room carpets after every usage. Also, this replacement air-conditioner certainly did not look new. It was a little beaten up, but nevertheless, the man from the air-conditioning shop insisted that it was new and that this was the unit Delonghi asked for him to give me. I ended up giving up in this idea of my one year warranty being properly honored as this service and repair shop was just very shady.

I ended up having another person assessing my air-conditioning unit with my being present. All he had to do was unscrew the 4 screws on the back of the unit to be able to remove the back cover to then clearly be able to see and show me that this machine had a grave manufacturers defect...there was literally no hole for the water to drain out of, hence all of the flooding. He explained to me and showed me that this was something that any air-conditioning repair person would know. At this moment, I realized that back in 2010 I was frauded by this service and repair place. I now know that this service person knew exactly what he was doing to me and providing me with. It was no accident and no mistake. It is clear to me that he either lost my original air-condtioner by perhaps accidentaly giving it away to another person or literally stole it for his own use. After my numerous calls to him and my unwillingness to accept their replies to my calls that stated "we cannot find your air-conditioner)...I imagine that it became obvious to him that he would need to send me home with some type of air-condiotioner...and so I ended up with this beaten up looking, defective and possibly dangerous air-conditioner. I am sure this man thought that he would not be figured out as I was very young looking and was alone with my little son. I think he thought I was an easy target...and perhaps I was an easy target, but unfortunately for him, I have now figured out what he did to me due to the knowledge and help of a fellow that looked at my air-conditioner.

I paid close to 700$ for this air-condtioner. And it is awful what was done. This service and repair place apparently also "lost" my air-conditioner receipt that they requested from me.

I would like someone to contact me immediately. I had figured that by now someone would have called me since the call center my call was going to be returned the next day. This person should be reprimanded for fraud and my air-conditioner needs to be returned.

I will NEVER purchase another thing from DeLonghi. Back in January 2014, I bought a heater on-line which was defective. They told me to cut the power cord to insure it was indeed defective and send my receipt and they would replace the heater. After more than one month, I called them again for an update and was told the heater I was waiting for was no longer available. I asked for a refund -- two months later I am still waiting for it! After repeated phone calls, I asked to speak to a supervisor. Some snotty, disrespectful twit got on and proceeded to speak over me -- she would not allow me to explain my situation. I finally had to tell her to shut up and let me speak and, of course, she was offended and threatened to hang up on me. I asked for her name and she said it was Danae, but she flat-out refused to give me her last name. I have never dealt with such incompetence, rudeness and total lack of respect for the consumer. May I add thievery as well since I have NO HEATER AND NO REFUND! I guess DeLonghi doesn't care if they stay in business or not.

Sent from my iPad
Dear Sir/ Madam,
I would like to complain regarding the Delonghi coffee maker (model code : DEL - E SAM2200),serial number NR 22220 was bought in E. S. H at empire mall Subang Jaya. Within one month the Infuser got stuck and the repairing will take about two weeks due to weekly basis. It is not fare for a customer to wait for such a long time to get it done. It is not a major repair. I tried calling your service hotline but no response as it says the line is busy. The service in Malaysia is quiet bad and is it a good quality product ??
Now I don't have the confidence in your product at all and will not recommend to others due to poor service and the quality.
Thank you.

Regards,
Celine

I purchased an $800 ESAM 5500 Perfecta Automatic Cappucinno Maker. I sent in a $150 check to DeLonghi for the extended warranty. To be short, I have sent them a copy of their cashed check and not only will they not send me the extended warranty they ignore me. They stole this money from me!

The DeLonghi fryer I purchased went out on me even the reset button would not work I could not find the receipt but knew I registered it. It was probably over a year and they told me it has a 1 yr warranty on it. It was I believe every bit of 200.00,We use it maybe once every 3 mo. guessing we bought it maybe 2 yrs ago. For a price for a small appliance it should have a warranty more then a year. So instead of going back to the store for another high end fryer ,will be going to w/m and buy a fry daddy when the grease needs changed just throw out the fryer go buy another I figure it will take 6yrs min. to catch up to what I spent on the DeLonghi. Suggest no one buys a hi end fryer that only uses a fryer 3-4 times a year. If you use weekly or bi monthly your ok it will still be in warranty when it goes down in 2 months using it in that time period.

This is the worst company that I have ever dealt with in my life. If you are reading this before you buy their product, save yourself the frustration and DON'T buy DeLonghi. I know that I will never buy anything from them ever again. I just spent over an hour and a half on the phone with their customer service department with no resolution to my issue. The reason I am dissatisfied, I purchased a DeLonghi toaster oven and the timer didn't work from the time I took it out of the box. After talking to customer service on multiple occasions, and faxing in the required receipt of purchase, I was told to cut the cord off of the oven and mail the cord to their Tulsa customer service center and I would receive a refund when they received the cord. I did as I was told, ordered another DeLonghi oven (unfortunately)from an online company and waited on my refund. I received the new oven from the online company and a couple of weeks later I received another oven from DeLonghi. When I called and explained to them what had happened, and asked that they please pick up the oven they sent and send me a refund check, I was told that "Unfortunately, the company doesn't issue refunds, only replacements." Which would have been fine if I had been told this in the first place. Now I'm stuck with an oven I don't want/need and I'm out the $$ I spent on both. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was left on hold for about 45 minutes before I finally hung up and called back. After speaking to a different customer service rep, and stayed on hold for a while longer, a supervisor got on the phone and basically just repeated what the agent had told me, and reiterated that corporate would not authorize a refund. It is hard to believe that a corporation as large as DeLonghi is so anti-customer service!

Absolutely garbage appliances and the Customer Service is some of the worst you will ever encounter. Forget the warranty, you will spend more in shipping their products back to fix. 3 expresso machines quit working within 2 months.

Very dissatisfied with your customer service department in Tulsa! My Delonghi fully automatic coffee maker is nonfunctional within its warranty term. I phoned Delonghi Customer Service and was told they would send me a box to ship the coffee maker to get serviced. I received the box with a pre-printed address to DeLonghi America. Nothing besides packing material was included in this box. After more than two weeks, I packed my coffee maker into the box and sent it via UPS. I didn't hear anything back, so I phoned Customer Service once again. They told me the box should have been sent to their Dallas service center, not the New Jersey address that was printed on the box. Three weeks later my coffee maker is being returned to me from New Jersey and they are sending me the correct pre-paid address label. I asked for a refund of my $61.46 that I spent to ship it to New Jersey -- the only address I was given -- and they told me they will not refund it as I "took it upon myself to send it to the wrong address and pay for it." Hello?! I spoke with the manager, Misti, who told me I should have called them and verified the address that was printed on the box they sent me was correct, as because I didn't, I'm responsible for it going to the wrong location thus they will not refund me my shipping fees. I asked to speak to her manager and was told he doesn't take calls. I asked for his boss' name and was told that was in their corporate office. I proceeded to ask for their phone number and was told, "we don't have that number." Really? You don't have your own corporate phone number? Unbelievable, yes, lie. Apparently, DeLonghi corporate doesn't want to be contacted as there is not a number to be found for them outside this Tulsa call center. Shame on you, DeLonghi. Poor, poor customer service! Stand behind your own mistakes and make them right. You've just turned a loyal customer who has purchased two of your automated coffee units into someone who will never buy anything DeLonghi again.

Add me to the growing list of dissatisfied customers. and I use "customer" lightly, more like victim!
I have a brand new unit out of the box inoperable.
I started the warranty process almost two months ago and no follow ups unless I carve out the time to sit on hold for who knows how long, only to finally get someone who gives their standard, scripted answer, "we apologize for the inconvenience. Someone will be back in touch in 1-2 business days". Don't let that fool you. They never do.
DeLonghi customer support is the worst I have ever experienced - to include the cable company - and have no intention of recommending their products nor buy their products ever again. Ridiculous!

I was on hold for 1 hour and 7 minutes for customer support. That is absolutely indefensible. Your e mail site comes up not found. Based on the other comments I guess this is your corporate plan. I will forward to BBB and Pittsburgh based consumer watch groups and strongly advise against any products by this company. It is a disgrace.

My husband purchased air conditioner/heater for our home. I had a question regarding this. The following morning I sat with a recording that just kept coming on saying all customer service people are busy, and they will be with you shortly. Well shortly meant for me 1hour, 16 minutes, but I was damed that I was going to hang up. With customer service like this, I don't understand how this company stays in business. I spoke with a supervisor, and he was very pleasant but said we are extremely busy, and that's why, I told him to hire more people.
Never again after reading the comments from different places will I buy from them.

I picked a espresso coffee maker for my 20 years at my company award. Received it and it would not turn on. Was told to cut the cord and mail it in. I did my part and have not heard anything in over a month. No answer to emails, no answer on customer service lines. Horrible way to do business. I unfortunately picked the wrong item for my service award.

Your cusotmer service is terrible. Noboday answeres your phones at the 2 customer service numbers published. It is just an endless message telling you to please hold. I am suprised you guys are still in business???????

This has been going on for days. And no repsonse back from customer service when sending emails.

I have been waiting for a back ordered part for 5 weeks now.
