Electrolux Corporate Office Comments

This is the most disgustuing company i have ever dealt with. I purchased a new refrigerator in Sept 2021 and have been trying to get it fixed since then. No one answers at the 800 number and when they do after an hour hold time, they gave me fake appointments.

I finally made a complaint to the BBB and then they replied to contact Renah repair in Monsey who refuses to come out or give me an appointment. They sau call in 4 weeks. I have been recordinhg all the conversations and these people at Electrolux and the repair company just could not care less. They are filth

I purchased a Frigidaire Professional Refrigerator Column Model #FPRU19F8WF1, Serial #BA12508148 that was delivered on 1/2/2022. It stopped working on 1/5/2022 - exactly 3 days. I went through the normal aggravating process of calling into Electrolux's customer service the next day, 1/6/2022. We have had a total of three service calls. At the first one I was told major components had failed and parts would have to be ordered. At the second one I was told the tech could not complete the repairs because of the $2,000 tool that was needed to repair the appliance, a tool that his company didn't have due to the cost. At this point I'm more than two weeks without a refrigerator. I call back into Electrolux's customer service and request a replacement appliance. I am told the only way they will replace it is if the refrigerator can't be repaired. They don't care that major components have failed and I'm not comfortable with this particular appliance any more. They set up the third appointment with an Electrolux repair technician - 2 more days to wait.
The Electrolux repair person comes out, diagnoses the issue, and explains the problem. Of course parts need to be ordered. He sets my repair appointment for 2/4/2022 due to a part being back ordered. My family and I wait patiently even though we will now be without a refrigerator for a month. On 2/3/2022 at 9:03 AM I receive a text message from Electrolux confirming my appointment for 2/4/2022. Later that evening I receive a phone call to confirm the appointment. At 8:00 AM on 2/4/2022, the morning of the appointment I receive a text from Electrolux with a new appointment date of 2/10/2022. No call. A text.
I called customer service and they explained that a part was on backorder. Now during this time I have been in communication with the tech from Electrolux via text, letting him know when each box/part has been delivered. On 1/26/22 the tech stated we were waiting on one more part that would arrive on 2/1/2022. It arrived on 2/1/2022. So, what's on backorder? The customer service rep couldn't tell me. I asked to be transferred stateside - yes, the calls were being handled by offshore agents. She stated there was no way to do that. I asked to be transferred to a manager. After being placed on hold for more than 15 minutes she came back on the line and told me no one was available, and I could call back after 11 AM today.
I am still without a refrigerator with no guarantee that the appointment set for 2/10/2022 will occur. No reimbursement for spoiled food. Yes, I asked for that. No loaner refrigerator. Yes, I asked for that. No reimbursement for renting a refrigerator during this time. Yes, I asked for that. No replacement appliance because this one can be fixed. And no way to talk to someone besides the offshore agents.
This is not my first Professional Refrigerator/Freezer column. I had a pair in my previous home. We sold the house - the appliances went with it. I was in my new house for three months before the new Refrigerator/Freezer columns arrived. I had to rent a side by side during that period we were waiting. I did not have any issues with the last set.
I don't know what Electrolux/Frigidaire changed on this new model. I am definitely not impressed.

I had a white frigidaire side-by-side with ice maker and water many years ago. Likely before the Electrolux takeover. It was manufactured in Canada, and AWESOME for many years, and is still running today. I just sold it for $150, because I bought a new one from Lowe's Folsom, CA...almost identical in model but stainless steel instead of white. Thank you for this one, and the design that is still available today!

However, during my new refrigerator's delivery phase, I had to refuse three (3); yes 3, before settling on the 4th delivery. All 3 had manufacturer's defects. The defect on the 2nd one delivered was the door to the refrigerator wouldn't Seal properly. With that being said, here is my problem on the 4th/new refrigerator. The final 4th refrigerator was delivered in the last quarter of 2019; then in January 2020, I noticed that the cushy gray gasket type thing around the inside of the door, that holds tight (seals) to the main refrigerator when you close the door, started to crumble and even sticks bits of the gray plastic/cushy stuff to the main refrigerator.

Previously, I wrote to Frigidaire in Georgia regarding the three manufacturer defected refrigerators, because clearly there are manufacturer's Material and factory Quality Control matters that need attention. I received no reply to my letter to a supposed Corporate Office in Georgia. In my opinion, this is an unacceptable business practice... no matter how you look at these two separate matters:

1) I had to refuse three deliveries of the same model of Frigidaire refrigerator.
2) The refrigerator I finally accepted, is now clearly beginning to have the same sealing problem as one of the previous refrigerators rejected during Lowes in Folsom, CA delivery.

I contacted the 800 number and got a Confirmation Number. They are sending me a free Gasket so I can replace it myself. This makes no sense. Am I going to be forced to keep replacing bad gaskets on a NEW refrigerator? What happens after the one-year manufacturer's warranty runs out, yet they have known I had a problem all along?

I am writing to Sweden, and sending a copy to Georgia, as the websites appear to be misleading. The 800 number representative (yes I have a name or alias name) said that she couldn't provide the Corporate address. How ridiculous, why not? So I again went on-line to get the address, but noticed this time that the Corporate Address in Georgia really may not be the Corporate Office. The Corporate address is Electrolux and is in Sweden. So now I am writing to Sweden. Just maybe I might get some responses. Are you wondering what I want? Well, I want replacement. I don't want a refrigerator that is obviously defective, and defective parts are being used within the factory.

Without a proper seal, I will be losing energy and my refrigerator will not maintain its temperature properly. This is a Health and Safety Matter. The problems I have had with returned/refused deliveries of defective products, and now a defective delivered product are no longer just a matter of inconvenience and frustration with product quality. This matter needs attention, and their Mexico factory needs major attention. Either that or the parts being bought by Electrolux need to be made elsewhere with higher quality grade materials. Go back to what was being done for this refrigerator 18 years or more ago, and maintain this level of quality. Buying out a large corporation; then lowering standards to save money is exactly what people don't want. Placing corporate greed before people will catch up with any corporation. If this matter is not attended to, I can guarantee 100% I will never buy this product again, and will always pay attention to who the real Corporate owners are.

Thank you for the opportunity to provide this information. I am not normally just a complainer. I like to reward and provide positive feedback as well. But when there is legitimate gripes to be made, and a real need for problem-solving and action; then these complaints are necessary for a company to make needed improvements.

I hope my information gets into the hands of someone who can make a difference with me. I am happy to provide detailed information to Corporate inquiries about the other defects to the other two refrigerators not discussed in these comments, or anything else. Happy to go to work for you looking at quality control issues, as a veteran analyst.

Thank you. Heidi

They sent me the WRONG parts for $23.40, now I have to reorder and spend another 16.18! This is bad, bad customer service.
Order #4812948 and new order 30091961(for their mistake)
Its my guess no one ever reads these comments (note their customer service rating of 2.4)

If the spare parts Division is not interested to pick up calls, then close the line to customers! Instead have the prices of all inventories or spare parts posted online on yr web page complete with prices. Better still make online orders available + Online manuals + service and repair manuals. For DIYers, this would allow extensive costs savings as well as avoid customers from being cheated by unscrupulous service contractors. Spare parts to be delivered by post or pick up by customers.

Frustration of not being able to contact and being serviced by Electrolux will cause customers to switch brands... apart from the damage to the company image and reputation! Suggest that a dedicated line be opened for customers to address their unresolved issues... direct to the company management personnel in charge of customer grievances. No answering machines, pls!!! That is if the company is still interested to retains its business.

Another big issue...is when you key in the post code of yr area or any area post code, the web site returns a suckers reply, "401 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials.
You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied."

What load of CRAP from Electrolux? I've got NO idea to give!!!!! for this. Hopeless!

I am very much disappointed with the Service provided by Electrolux service center at Mumbai by Mr Pramod Pandey as they don't have the courtesy to even call the customer and understand the issue. I bought the Electrolux Refrigerator but the compressor doesn't last for 5 years and with in warranty period it was changed 3 times and now warranty is over and Mr Pramod refused to even take the issue.
Myself was suggested to change the compressor at the cost of Rs6000 apprx. My question is what is guarantee that it will not fail in 8 months. shall I invest Rs6000 every 8 months to get the refrigerator running?

I agree with the comments from Anonymous. I, too, bought an Electrolux range except that it was a freestanding unit. I am very unhappy with this product since it no longer works after using the self-cleaning function. It was a rather expensive stove, and I have been extremely inconvenienced with not being able to use it. I would not recommend this product to anyone and will no longer buy any Electrolux products.

Service prof had to order another which is under warranty but not tge weekend service call fees ir loss of food and no refrigerator for 4 days. Sooo disappointed for such an expensive appliance. Already out 700 dollars from first breakdown and now another who knows what this will cost.

I bought a kitchen full of Frigidaire appliances just about 5 years ago. We replaced the microwave b4 Christmas with a Samsung due to repeated major problems with the Frigidaire, and a poor response by customer service. Now, my refrigerator's freezer has gone out. I woke up to a dead refrigerator. $300 of food: GONE. THe compressor has been confirmed as GONE. The icemaker was replaced less than 3 weeks ago. We have had no fewer than 5 other major repairs on this freezer as well. I bought a Kenmore for a rental property 2 years before this purchase and have had NOT ONE PROBLEM. Customer service's response today was to offer to pay for 50% of the part. WOW. What an insult. I don't want to be ungrateful, but after all of the problems I have had with these appliances, I fully expect more compensation for the repeated problems I have had--fix and pay for the problem, guys!!!! I guarantee that if I have to replace the refrigerator, it will NEVER BE A FRIGIDAIRE. I am so disappointed with this brand's lack of willingness to stand beside their products.

I see Chris Polk posted a comment here on 7/11/12. Chris - Do you still work for Electrolux? I sent you email on 7/30/12 at 12:29pm. I've not received a reply, nor an automated message saying you were out or no longer there.

How many places do I have to try and track down help with my refrigerator ice maker issue??!

hello, im not sure if i am sending this to the proper people but here it goes. we purchased a 30 inch wall oven from a sears in auburn massachusetts about a year and a half ago, after using the appliance for about 3 months we noticed that the coating in the oven was chipping and flaking on the inside, so we called sears and they came out and replaced the entire cavity of the oven, mife performed a self clean on this unit aprox.3 months after the first problem with this oven, again we had service and repair out to my home to fix , mind you we went 3 weeks without a oven this time, when the repair tech came out he told us that this problem would continue everytime we self clean our appliance due to some reset button on the appliance , well it has happened again and we told sears that we dont want this unit to be fixed again , we would rather have the oven replaced, they are refusing to replace this oven that has been repaired 4 times now , let alone being without an oven for a total of 33 days, while waiting to be repaired.i have had theses repair guys damage my cabinetry while removing the appliance several time now. i am reaching out to you to see if there is any recalls on this unit or if you have any suggestions seeing that we are getting no where with sears.i purchased your product ,because i am a appliance installer, and havent seen many problems with your products, i usually recommend your products to alot of my customers, and for the record my company probably performs 6000 installs a year in the state of massachusetts.unfortunatly the way that this is going with my 3800.00 dollar walloven im not to sure i want to recommend your product any more.my model number for my oven is EW30EW65GB6 serial# NF02825643
