I am sharing this to boat about my father's 2004 GMC Sierra. He bought it new and still drives it everyday. The truck has over 600,000 miles on it original engine and starts up every day. Of course he had to fix some things but nothing major. This truck is amazing, he is an outdoorsman, so this truck has been through alot, has some rust because he lived 2 blocks from the beach for years. My dad doesn't have another truck or car so this is his only vehicle which is the most amazing vehicle I have ever heard of. STILL GOING EVERYDAY WITH OVER 600,000 MILES ON IT!!!! GREAT JOB GMC!

Sharing this as a concerned party that your dealership(Cadillac of Fayetteville) needs to be contacted regarding some inappropriate employees behaviors that took place on 11/29/23 that current management hasn't or doesn't plan on addressing.

2017 GMC sierra 1500 i in need a transmission and GMC don't know when and where to get a transmission no answer from dealership the service manager unprofessional the truck has under 100,000 miles and now they are telling me it can be weeks, or months for a replacement so I'm still paying for the truck every month and not have it to drive I don't think GMC cares about their customer anymore sad to say but have no problem taking your money every month and no service to back it up

GMC NEEDS TO GET IT TOGETHER !!! I NEED A TRANSMISSION FOR MY TRUCK THAT HAS A WARRENTY!! My truck has been in the shop for over a month!!! We are told from everyone there isn't a transmission in the WHOLE UNITED STATES!! How is that even possible???? Oh not to mention there are not any parts manufactured to do a rebuild! GMC is a rip off!! I will NEVER purchase a GMC vehicle again!! I'm paying almost $700 a month for a vehicle we can't drive!!! Heres an idea get me a transmission off your assembly line!!! Yall can make vehicles but can't make the parts to replace them is bull!! If I can't get my truck fixed my lawyer will be happy to contact GMC!

I recently purchased a brand new 2023 GMC Sierra duramax diesel
it has only 4200 miles on it and it has been at the dealer service department 2 times due to errors with rear parking sensors and the biggest issue is the check engine light comes ON.
brought to dealer and they don't know what the issue is. according to the diagnosis from GMC APP is a emission problem but dealer states they cant figured out issue because is history codes when they run the diagnosis on it. this is so frustrating 62k+ truck and has issue service department cant figured out. GMC corporate hope you see this since non one is willing to help me with issue.

My 2021 Canyon AT4 has been in the dealership for the past 10 weeks waiting for part that doesn't have an ETA, because the vendors for GMC can't seem to produce enough. This is outrageous. I can't believe that GMC doesn't get punished for not living up customers expectations. I'm not sure if I ever buy another GMC.

I just got a recall for my 2016 GMC Acadia. The notice states that if my airbag is used metal shards may fly in my face and lead to injury or death. I called my local dealer who basically brushed it off as nothing but stated I can always call corporate. I spoke with a very nice rep who tried her best and submitted complaints on my behalf. I was then transferred to a woman named Jessica who told me repeatedly that my car is no longer under warranty, therefore they can't do anything for me. I stated that the letter said the parts to fix the vehicle are unavailable at this time and was repeatedly told "go to your gmc dealer so they can fix it." THE PART IS UNAVAILABLE AND UNABLE TO BE FIXED AT THIS TIME. I need a new vehicle hopefully with a credit. Can I be helped? I have a life I need to continue. Work, and driving my kids to daycare safely. I chose GMC for their safe vehicles.

I have a 2022 GMC Denali. Purchased brand new with 16 miles on it. A month and a half ago I went to started it and it was dead. It needed a new battery. After the battery was replaced all the lights on the dash came on, the service engine light came on and it was shaking. Took it to back to the dealership and was told that they recommend me not drive it. Ok. Put me in a loaner and you can keep this issue. No loaners. Waited almost a week before they got me a loaner. My truck stayed in the shop a week and a half. The loaner was basic by the way and it didn't even have remote start in this Texas heat. Final got my truck back and drove it for min 2 days and the service light came back on. I've been to the dealership 5 times since then. Still no loaners and they have to keep my truck to fix it. I have never in my life been told 1. I could pay for my own rental and GMC will reimburse me. Why would I do that on for a brand new truck that under warranty? I was told today that I could find a shop to take it to. Please explain to me why I would do this? If I wanted to go through all this headache and inconvenience then I would have purchased a preowned truck with no warranty. Mind you this is my second brand new GMC truck I've purchased and I got my parents one also. I'm tired of calling The dealership, GMC customer service, etc to get not resolve but I"m expected to drive an unsafe truck. I will not be purchasing another GMC. Your about to loose a loyal customer.

How irresponsible to have the tv ad where the driver and passenger clap their hands instead of having his hand in the wheel going over the bridge.

It has been 86 days since my GMC was dropped off at Jim Cook for repair.

I recently purchased a new 2023 gmc sierra at4 1500,my 7th new truck in 14 years and after purchasing it noticed it didn't have a 12 volt power source for my radar detector or dash cam, went back to dealership and none of the at4 or Denalis didn't have them either and dealership didn't seem to have any information as to why the didn't have them. Are the going to be offered as a later installation as I spend a lot of time on the road and use both detector and dash cam for my own safety. THANK YOU

Just out of curiosity did your engineers ever figure out why the 2005, 2006 and 2007 Hummer H3 5cyl had a parasitic drain? I have put five batteries in since my purchase of this 06 vehicle in 2009. If you figured it out, because the 08, 09 and 10 didn't have the drain, it would be great if you'd let us know what it was so we can fix it ourselves. I would hate to have to tell anyone not to buy one of your new electric hummer's because all they're going have is problems, but I will. The Internet and social media never disappoint when it comes to getting information out there. BTW, getting a customer service rep located in PI is NOT at all helpful. ??

I purchased a 2021 Sierra 1500 in November of 2020, it currently is sitting at 20k miles and still covered by Bumper-to-bumper warranty. On 4/17/2022 I was driving down a paved road when my passenger rear tire went flat. Upon checking the tire, there was a 3-4-inch blowout on the wall of the tire. I was able to change the tire using the spare underneath, this was my first time using this tire since purchase. After winding down the tire I noticed several burn marks along the spare tire from where it sits on the frame while stored underneath; there is literally rubber burned onto the frame. This was very concerning as it is the only place to securely store a spare tire on this model of GMC truck and it is a big liability not knowing whether the spare tire is structurally safe to drive on.

4/17/22 was easter Sunday so no dealership/GMC customer service was open, on Monday morning 4/18 I called GMC to set up an appointment at Watson to have these issues repaired, they said it should all be covered under warranty (tire being a sidewall blowout not caused from "normal wear and tear"), and the spare tire defect needed inspection to calculate a fix.

I brought the truck in around 11a on 4/18 (GMC was able to escalate this due to safety concerns driving on a tire that has been burned by the frame). I worked with Tyler Fitzgibbon and Gabe Stearns who took the truck back and brought it back within an hour saying that they will not replace the spare because the dust on my truck was proof enough I was off roading, and that the burn marks across the spare is "just the way it is" in GMC and Silverado trucks. There was nothing they would do.

Let me start by saying that I have always been proud to drive GMC/Chevrolet, I purchase a new truck every few years and the way in which I have been accused for trying to get a brand new truck with less than 21k miles on it repaired for factory issues has made me never want to come back to Watson or even purchase another GMC/Chevrolet again. Tyler was new and just relaying information, but Gabe acted with complete disrespect, raised his voice at me and told me he wouldn't not do anything for me, this was an issue I needed to address with GMC and to get out of his service department. I am in awe at the way he is allowed to treat customers, especially when it comes to customers who buy brand new. Regardless of the issue, they did not offer a solution and left me to drive on an unsafe tire with no permanent or temporary fix.

I believe the spare tire issue is a factory defect that warrants its own recall, also the spare tire should be covered under bumper-to-bumper warranty as it is not from "wear and tear". This is wrong of Watson to treat customers in this fashion and Gabe should be held fully responsible for the mishandling of this case.

After escalting this to GMC executive resolution team, they took several days explaining they would find a solution and apologized for the way Watson acted. When I heard back from the executive team at GMC, they had an engineer tell me that this was perfectly fine, that's how they are designed... they are designed to burn rubber onto the frame of the truck.. it may be fine for a year.. maybe 2.. but what happens when that spare sits for longer.. this is wrong and they know it but its all about covering their own ass.

Maybe save yourself a headache and buy a Ford.

Dear GM,

My name is Stanley Walker. I have a 2011 GMC 2500 HD ( Diesel ). I purchased it new from Cronix GMC in Griffen , GA. It has been in and out of the shop 6 times since i have owned it. Once for a transmission problem and 5 times for D.E.F. ( Diesel Exhaust Fluid ) system problems, almost every 6 mounths. Here we are again, with another problem in the same system. I just hit 70,000 miles on the truck. There is absolutely no reason that a vehicle this new, should be having any problems, never the less the same problem over and over, every 6 months. I have been a loyal GMC truck buyer for many years. Around every 2-4 years I purcase a new truck from you ( CASH )and I have had no problems until this truck. I am told that my warranty does not cover this reaccuring problem any more. When I call your help line I am on hold for a minimum of 20 minutes before I get a person on the line. And when I get them on the line, I cant understand them. They try to look up my fil and cant find it and have to build a new " Service Request Number ". The customer service person ( Kenith Sin )at my local GMC has not even returned my calls. When he didnt call me back I called him and he had no memory or record of what was going on ( forgot, blowing me off or just does not care ). If I have to pay for any of the repares that need to be done on this truck, I will never buy another vehicle from GM and I will pursue the local lemon laws to return this truck to you and I will make sure that everyone I know does the same.

Sincerly,
Stanley Walker

Dear GM Management and Employees,

I am writing you today in regards to my 2000 GMC Sierra I am the original owner of this vehicle.

I am not sure who was involved with building and assembling it, but with all the recalls that have been happening, I would like to express my gratitude for my unbelievably dependable Sierra.

I have owned GMC products all of my life and have never had such an incredible vehicle as my current truck. I have looked into purchasing a new truck for the past couple of years, but have realized as my truck has hit 300K miles I would like to drive it for another 300K.

I would like for GM and Mr. Goodwrench to consider refurbishing it to it's original condition.

The following is a recap of my 2000 GMC Sierra, along with items that I would like updated or refurbished:

5.3 Vortex Motor

I have serviced it every 3000 miles since new and it is still running strong. If Mr. Goodwrench thinks it needs anything, please quote me.

The Starter and the Alternator are still originally; please add new ones to the quote.

Suspension

Springs are a little soft.

Tie rods could need to be replaced.

Rack and pinion steering may need a rebuild, as was done at 100K.

New body mounts.

Please quote these items.

Brakes

Still original, amazingly.

I don't know how, but my service center says are still at 65%.

No option on the brakes, I would like a complete overhaul on the brake system.

Please quote.

Interior

For the most part, the interior is in phenomenal shape, which cause a great deal of awe from family and friends.

Seats - Need a rebuild of the driver's seat (fairly worn) and maybe a recovering of the passenger's seat.

Driver's inside door trim is discolored from the Arizona sun. Would like it replaced.

Would like a new carpet kit installed and new floor mats.

I noticed when I test drove the 2014 Sierra, the noise level was quieter. Any solutions to making my 2000 quieter would be great.

If there is an updated stereo system which had direct blue tooth capabilities, I would like that installed also.

Replace chrome strip on driver's door, small area were chrome is bubbled up.

Bearings

I don't know how this happens, but I have never had to grease the front bearings. Please quote replacements.

Hoses

Once again, unbelievably I have never had to change any of the hoses. Please add replacements in your quote.

Transmission

Still in good shape, but please quote installing a 6 speed automatic transmission to help improve fuel mileage. Possibly test the upcoming 8 speed.

I am excited in my pursuit of 600K miles with your assistance and am looking forward to your quote on the above referenced items. Hopefully there may be some discounts involved because of the extent of work that I am requesting.

In summary, I would like to express my greatest gratitude to all of the GM family for producing such an incredibly reliable and outstanding vehicle. This vehicle definitely has become a symbol to me of GM's commitment to quality and in valuing the end user.

Please thank all of your employees in a job well done with my truck. Keep up the outstanding work.

Proud GMC Owner,

Randy Durfee

I recently purchased a 2007 Yukon and it has turned out to be the most disappointing vehicle I have ever owned. I've only put 5000 miles on it and am on my third quart of synthetic oil. The steering wheel now makes a clunking sound every time I turn the wheel. The tracktion control malfunctions all the time I'm literaly afraid to spin the wheels and that's not good I live in Montana. What happened to GM. Do they only care about the money. I hope they are happy I just bought a 27000 dollar piece of crap just glad I'm not the one who bought it new and paid 60000 for it. Don't think I will ever buy GM again may just buy a Japanese ride. I'm very upset with this vehicle and GM knows about the problem's and refuses to fix them. Way to stick it to the American people hope you all enjoy the working mans money for crap.

Very unhappy...
I wrecked my car 28 days ago and for some reason GMC will not ship the body shop a piece to repair the broken headlight. Can make a new car every 30 hours, but cant assist faithful customers. This is my 2nd GMC vehicle and gonna be my last. Customer service is a joke. They said the car is too new, so not many parts available. Seems to me that we dont need to buy new vehicles because you can't get them fixed. Bank still wants their payment and so does rental car agency.

What is GMC thinking putting rear disk breaks on trucks.
in new england.I turned down a trade in for 2014 with disk breaks. I had a 2000 all I had was 1400 dollars in trouble and still could not stop I now have 2013 with drums and I love the truck.

I am very dispointed in GMC I broght a 2008 EQuinox new
and the paint was messed up on it I took my car to Maroonie
to have the paint fixed on it Well let me tell you they did not repair my car properly because the paint is still the same now its peeling off. I take very good care of my car
Now that its out of warranty they dont want to fix what they didnt do the first time.
My hushand has a 1994 truck and the paint still looks new
I dont understand why you dont stand behind your product. I should not have to pay for a paint job on a 4year old car that I still owe on.
Can you please help me out I just dont think its right for me to be treated like this I have always bought a Chev Please dont make me change my mine on this. Maroone said they took pictures of my car when I brought it in they lie they did not take any pictures at all that is not be honest.
Why are they trying make excuses to get out of repairing my car the right way

Thank You
Virginia Chessler

After committing to buying a 2012 GMC Acadia Denali recently, I was surprised to find that it has no adjustment to control the power liftgate opening height (like the Explorer Limited has). It hits the garage door above, makes some clicking noises, and stops there. I'm afraid it's on the verge of reversing because of obstruction. I don't see any adjustment on the struts to control how much they extend, like some house doors have. Do you have any alternate shorter struts to limit the opening height to about 2 inches less? Any other ideas? For your consideration on future models: I don't like the 20 inch wheels; they're just too big. Do you suppose they have anything to do with the liftgate hitting above because of increasing vehicle height?

I am highly teed off.I was led to believe by a GM warranty spokesperson that GM might honor partial or the entire repair bill I had for a '07 HHR,that had rusted/corroded gas lines from the gas tank to the engine!!She spoke to me,and a person from a local GMC dealership, third party, and agreed,or so I thought, that if I had my car towed into Ramey's Automotive garage, for a diagnostic test,it probably would be taken care of by GM partially,or whole.I spent $150 for towing two ways(the car's sitting in the drive way not repaired),and the diagnostics, and now I'm low on funds to fix the car,as Ramey's quoted $537 to repair it,AT MY EXPENSE! I am 62 years old,a service connected Veteran, and don't have that kind of money for a repair bill! The car I have only has 70,470 miles on it,and I don't see how gas lines would've rusted! While at Ramey's,when I got my car back, the very evening I had it towed back,I saw a burst of light coming from behind the car,and the battery's going down! I wonder if at Ramey's they left something on,or overloaded the battery someway!!!So,now I'm facing fixing the car,and possibly more problems entailing,i.e.,maybe another battery, etc.I sure got a beating with your warranty rep. This car has a black smudge appear on the outside of the driver's side front door. It's airholes on the inside panel of the door, and I wonder if the black ooze could be oil,or gas exhaust, coming from underneath the car.I will have the car fixed, and am going to have someone examine it thoroughly underneath, and I'm keeping the "rusty" gas lines. How callous to treat anybody the way I was treated! If I thought it was doubtful the GM warranty would've covered anything on fixing the car,I would never have towed it to Ramey's to begin with!!!Wil follow up on this..
