This is for the Giant in Huntingdon, P.A. On February 29, at 6:45 p.m. I went back to the deli to order some lunch meat that is kept in the glass case. I was told that the slices are shut down at 7:00p.m. There were 2 other customers besides me at the deli to put an order in besides myself, and was told the same thing and denied help. The slicers are shut down at 7:00. I don't think that 6:45 means that your denied services at the deli counter. Our orders would have been taken care of by 7:00. That was very rude to be told that, and denied services. There were 2 women there at the time, and could have helped the customers out very efficiently .

Great speed and customer service from Giant Pharmacy in Crofton MD!!!

The store at 40th St in Baltimore has always gone up and been great, then gone down again. It is down again. The biggest problem is check out. The machines limit the purchases, presumably, to 20. They are slow and inefficient. The long time cashiers seem to be replaced with young people, some good. The lanes are often limited to just a few that are manned. The check out process is slow and inefficient for these reasons: The Walmart style checkout failed, but the counters are still too short to compile groceries. Customers time is taken up with all the computer needs, so we cannot bag quickly. There are no baggers. The result of the three issues are slow lines in manned lanes, and long lines in automatic checkout, with multiple computer glitches. Prices are so high now that one might as well just get the service and pay a little more for a much better experience and quality of product at Eddie's. I have often wondered if management ever shopped at their own stores, using their own armchair innovation. I think they would find it as ineffective as people like me do. The Giant gets the customer information they want, but the customer wastes an inordinate amount of time being a so-called customer.

I understand you don't have any help but I made 4 trips your pharmacy to pick I my mother's prescription 2 days my mother's foot is swollen & can't walk you have 3 people back there one doing vaccinations I saw a lot of customers leaving because their prescriptions weren't ready if you don't have the help maybe you shouldn't be offering the vaccines & the phone just rings off the hook nobody answers in the pharmacy I don't blame the they are doing the best they can but this keeps happening you will loose customers. Please check into this I seen this at 4 different Giants

Giant Pharmacy in Annapolis Md Riva Festival Shopping Center is the worst. There is alway only one cashier and the line is always back to the door not to mention they send you text messages about your medicine being ready and when you get there everyone is acting like they cant find it or its not even ready. This is becoming a serious ongoing problem. They need more help I would go to the other one but that one smells funky. Im super pissed

Having your techs standing in front of the door smoking is disrespectful

I left a message on VM. Very hard to reach a person and the website for Giant doesn't easily give an email address to complain or complement.
I was in store #780 Bailey's Crossroads, S. Jefferson Street, Falls Church, Va . I would like to commend a nice employee, Seble and Pan and a very nice man who works in the cheese and eggs, and yogurt department. They are all three very professional and pleasant to see . Thanks for allowing me to leave this recognition. Also, why isn't the Crab Truck at this site or any in South Arlington? I hope your employees are vaccinated. They should be.

I am writing to urge your company to stop selling Ben & Jerry's ice cream products. In light of that company's recent decision to not sell its products in Israel, I consider them anti-Semitic, and I consider any store that continues to sell their products in light of this development to be anti-Semitic as well.

Your Giants pharmacy location at 6620 Reisterstown Rd in Baltimore is the worst ran pharmacy I've ever experienced in ALL MY 68yrs of life.the manager mr kwiesi his whole back staff are RUDE DISRESPECTFUL they are allowed to make degrading comments to customers in ref to the types of medications They're receiving and the whole teams laughs.they will call on people behind you while you stand in like with mr kwiesi right and he laughs right along and if you DARE say anything he will kindly tell you find another pharmacy for your drug's.i think his name is darrius he marcus ARE especially HORRIBLE.the only pleasant person over Theyre is a Ms Janice...my Hippa rights have been VIOLATED AND THE DISRESPECT HAS CAUSE ME GREAT MENTAL STRESS WE'RE ALREADY GOING THROUGH MUCH IN THIS WORLD THAN TO HAVE BE TREATED WITH SUCH UNKINDNESS ON EVERY VISIT.AND UNFORTUNATELY PHARMACY ARE CLAIMING THERE NOT TAKING. NEW CUSTOMERS .

I'm a customer of Giant on 621 E Glebe Rd in Alexandria Va, & The managers in Deli are very rude to their staffing & customers I've spoke with the manager on several occasions still nothing was done

I was in your store 3200 Brentwood Brentwood rd. N.E oday at 4:30 picking up my husband medicine and placing a bakery order when leaving your store before reaching the customer service desk I slid and fell there was ice and water on the floor I was able to keep from injuring myself badly. There was a youngman dressed in black asking if I was ok. By me having to get to my son and get my husband medicine to him I could not file a report but once I reached home I tried calling so I could file one. Customer service answered the phone saying I should have got a manager and filed a report and since I didn't do that he doubt it if they could do anything about it but he would transfer me to his manager. I never stated not one time that I was trying to do anything legally he just assumed. I know that regardless a report should still be filled to protect the store. So after leaving me on hold and the phone kept bouncing back to him until he hung up on me. You see I also would in the retail business but the way I was treated was very unprofessional. I'm the one in my bed in pain from this fall trying to be a godly person by filing the report I wasn't asking for nothing but because of the way I was treated on this phone would make a average person changed there mine.

I shop at the Giant Food on Maple Avenue in Vienna VA. I told the Store Manager that Donnell in the Seafood Department is an exceptional employee. Very professional, polite and knowledgable about the products. He suggested I advise Giant's corporate tram as well. Donnell is an asset to your brand.

I have been trying to get an answer from Giant Food since 22 June, as to why they are offering an item on sale, when they have not had the item available in the stores for several months. I have called on 4 separate days. Today, I was hung-up on three times when I asked to speak with a supervisor. I was also told during one of these calls that my case had been closed - without anybody ever contacting me. On my 4th call to Customer Care, I finally got an Agent was efficient and concerned - Jordan. She worked with me to get my concern back into the system, and escalated it for a fast response. She stated that they were not overly busy, and that I should receive a call later in the day - that never happened. Giant Food has consistently gone downhill since being acquired by Royal Dutch Ahold. This situation is just one more example of the lack of concern that Giant Food shows for their customers.

So today at the giant in Glen birnie across from the mva some poor man had a heart attack and busted his head open and died there was blood everywhere and instead of shutting down to throw product away and clean up they had an employee clean up the blood and they moved on with their day as if nothing happend.i think this is very distasteful and because they sell food its very unhygienic. The management clearly doesn't care about the safety of others and the food they sell.they should be shut down or at the very least be fined for their lack of cleaniness.this is very disturbing.

I want to commend one of your employees for the excellent, professional and friendly service that he has provided us since he started working at the Giant Food Pharmacy at Traville Gateway. Muhammad Almizan has always been outstanding with the service he has provided and goes the extra step if there is a problem with a prescription order. He is a definite asset to Giant and you should be very pleased to have him on your staff.

Just a compliment and recommendation for a fine Giant pharmacy employee....Dr Vera Zejmis ..... she has not only helped me and my wife numerous times, but, on Saturday June 19, 2021, after I was having difficulty with a Glucose monitor, shel literally lanced her own finger multiple times, in order to check the accuracy of my meter... in all honesty I have never experienced a more dedicated or kind Pharmacist in my life, ( and I am a 67 year old man) please compliment her from your Corporate office, and all of the other Outstanding Pharmacists and employees @ York Road Plaza Giant # 108.... Thank you A Charles Banknell

It's really sad when I'm overcharged on 2 out of 10 items I bought today. Especially after specifically asking the cashier, "if I only buy 1 of a 2 for $4 will I get it for $2?" She said "yes" then I got charged $2.50 ?
If You're making a couple dollars off of every customer, that's a giant ripoff!! I also hate that you have these paper coupons when you could easily just give us the sale price! Why the extra step of tearing a paper coupon to hand it to you to throw out? Waste of time & paper. Just seems outdated... where I usually shop, if I'm overcharged, I get the item for free... not at Giant.

I love your stores and constantly privide feedback. I however have found your online platform is horrible. When it works it works fine. Third week in a row I'm unable to access to menu plan. Luckily I have a Harris Teeter nearby and manager there just told me he'll honor your coupons and maybe specials. Bye

I was just at the Giant in Stowe,Pa at 180 Upland Square Drive and the the worst experience I've ever had because of a sale a manager didn't want to go honor, even though it was current!

When I got up to self checkout the ice creams I got were coming up as they're regular prices instead of the sale so I pointed this out to the woman at self checkout. She wasn't able to leave her spot so I offered to go take a picture for her, which I did. When I got back she said she had gotten someone from customer service and he'd be right over. So I'm assuming one of the managers walks over, his name was Brian. He comes over with an immediate attitude, I tried to show him the pictures but instead he gives me a dirty look and rudely waves me away gesturing to get out of his way. When he got back from checking the prices he told me I was wrong and I didn't buy the right amount. I knew that wasn't right so I pulled the picture back out catching him in this lie, which he then tried blaming me again telling me that when I showed him my phone the picture was too blurry. Which again not sure how that's possible since he refused to even look at my phone and checked the prices for himself. I'm not sure why but this man seemed determined to not give me the sale price even though it was the STORES SALE. You would have thought the $3 was personally coming out of this man's pocket.

At Giant 256 on route 208 as a someone was getting ready to leave the parking lot the on the clock front end manager and the assistance manager around 5:30 had called the cops on their customer. The customer was already upset and one of the employees who was outside at the time helped them by giving from what I heard information to tell them how they were doing and also saw that the little children were upset and made their day. The front end manager was watching and on her personal phone at the time. If this is how you allow your employees to treat their customers at this location then something is seriously wrong

At the Giant Food store on 9400 Fairfax Boulevard this past Sunday, I was greeted by Khalid, my checker m, who was energetic, friendly, and professional. He made my shopping trip a nice treat and I was glad to meet him. Thanks for the nice conversation and hoping you keep up the good work

The giant at 2845 Alabama ave se Washington dc solution center is closed at lease four times a month or more before 5pm I asked the manager on one occasion why his reply was a shortage of help I told him that's a management problem not a customer problem he just walked away today I asked for a manager and was told by an employee that the manager said I had to come to her I don't think so money orders western union lottery etc. can not be purchase because you never know when the solution center is closed and Safeway is more than a mile away maybe giant do not mind losing money I will just take my business to Safeway

I have been going to Giant Food Store on Fairlawn Street for 56 years and always received good service until today
A cashier named Diamond seemed to have an attitude, first told my wife not to move her items on the belt forward in which there was plenty of space and she helped the lady in front of us move her items, MS. diamond would not speak and when we thank her she just looked away not saying a word. Apparently she was having a bad day.

I'm so pleased to inform you that your Associate (Bakery Dept.) did an outstanding help with me today. He's name is Norm.
He went out of his way and asked me if I wanted names written in the bday cakes for my children. I didn't expect such generosity. I'm very impressed with your staff, especially Norm.
I'm a regular customer in your Braddock Branch in Annandale VA.
You should be proud of Norm.
Thank you.

Yes, I am very disappointed in giant , my husband who is 63, and has a disability, did work for the store in Leola pa, he had just received the vaccine and wasn't feeling well, but still went to work, and had mentioned that he needed to leave, his supervisor, told him he wasn't allowed until he did his test on the computer which he wasn't able to do because of not feeling well, so there was a bit of altercation from his supervisor, which upset my husband he came home and never went back, that is very intimidating, they never called him , my husband is a very hard worker, they don't care about their employees! Not good!!!! Your store needs to not pick on older people, that really like their job and very willing to work! I think you owe my husband an apology! Have a great day! I will be sure to let people know how giant is to their employees!

I've written several complaints about Giant Food Market 600 E.30th Street.. 21218. The pharmacy department is so rude. From the pharmacist and more the pharmacy techs .I understand working with the public is tedious. But not every customer has an issue. And the customers as myself to have the same issue repeatedly is a very busy problem. To deal with a sarcastic tech that will stand there, keeping looking at you and working to not do anything but wait til there is another me person that will help you. Then soon as another one comes to help you that prior one will come over and help someone else. I'm so sick of this pharmacy. And if I could or had transportation to go to another one I will. These issues has been over and over for years. The pharmacist is no better. And they are the ones that are suppose to deal with the issue. But when that doesn't work, you have to go to the store manager and that still does nothing. They are so unprofessional that it's very sickening. Then if you say something to them they look as if they done nothing wrong or it's that it s a very big problem. They forget they are customers somewhere else as well. Then you wonder why.... never mind. Do better, fire them and get new help if the problem isn't resolved . I'm not thinking about their situation or anything else after it's gone on for so long. They must not want their job.. to continually wanting to be a jack butt

Customer services opening at 8am is not convenient for those that rise early to shop!

As a cashier i have had several customers complain about our store temperature being uncomfortable. Not only the customers but many cashiers including myself have been hot as well. I was told by a coworker the temperature can't be adjusted within the store.A customer bought a candybar and it was melting. With the masks and temperature in the store, working has been very uncomfortable. I told customers i would reach out and let the higher ups know. Thank you for your time.

I feel the need to compliment a few of the pharmacists at the Old Court store in Pikesville Maryland. I'm not sure of their last names but I believe you can do some research. To begin, Kathy Hershey is phenomenal . She is well informed , courteous and always makes time to discuss your questions. I would also like to acknowledge Leslie, Inga, and Paul. All of these pharmacists are conscientious and work extremely hard. They are a true asset to your company. Please share this comment with them.

Sincerely,
Eunice ( Terry) Kaplan

Store 316 in Greenbelt md. I was in shock to listen how Ms. Robbin spoke to a cashier trashing her in front of customers. She had no respect for the cashier or the customers. She needs to be trained pr put in the back office away from the public eye or your front end staff

The Giant that is located in Beltsville Maryland has an employee that jumps in front of customers to pay for two items. She just looked at me and kept on in the line and said something smart under her breath. The manager needs to address their employees to be respectful to the customers and yet you expect the customers to pay those high ass prices for the food.

Some of the email I sent and have to receive a response to.

Overall, there is an issue with staffing, customer service, time management and learning what to prioritize.

There is no reason I should of waited 5 hours for 9 items. Let me repeat that. FIVE HOURS for NINE ITEMS. I've worked retail for 12 years. Never, have I experienced a disservice like this. I scheduled my order for pickup between 2pm and 3 pm. I was called around 12:45pm and told to come around 4pm.Told not asked. Then at 2pm I was called back and told to come around 6pm. I was already in the parking lot and willing to wait the two hours it wasn't worth going home. The young lady was also very unprofessional. "Did I already call you? Oh, well, we're behind so can you come at 6pm?" I then proceeded to tell her I will wait and that she should call me when she was ready. She then responded by telling me to check on them to make sure it's getting done. Common sense would be to pick a 9 items order before three 100+ item order. Not only did I wait the 5 hours but an additional 45 minutes for them to bring out the groceries after receiving the confirmation the order was completed. Mind you, there were 3 other cars waiting.

I get it, as a manager every store has a set budget for the week regarding payroll. However, I would rather be over budget and over schedule people and have every customers order done efficiently than to be short staffed and lose 4 to 6 customers.

Another issue I would like to address is the pharmacy. I had my prescriptions transferred to your location and the pharmacy did not have my prescription in stock. They ordered it and it will be there on Monday. I also have worked in a pharmacy and know protocol is to call the customer and ask do they have enough supply to last until it is received in the case it could be an essential medicine? If it is and the customer does not, then they should transfer the prescription to another Giant location that does. I was never called or notified.

I have never encountered so much grief in a week's time regarding lack of customer service. I hope you understand my frustration. Retraining is not going to resolve these issues. The store needs to be managed properly, staffed efficiently and you can't train empathy. That just isn't possible. Either you have the know with all or you do not. Empathy is innate.

My partner and I and his mother had gift certificates for turkeys we had three different accounts and you're all Gone this morning. Are you a bunch of losers like President Trump? I'll be going back to Wegmans where I can depend on people that aren't gonna steal from me

I stopped in Lehighton pa store #6320 on 10/30 to buy gift cards I spent about $200 dollars. I noticed when got home I recieved no points for the gift cards. When went in next day they told me it was not part of the gift cards that were on sale. I understand I couldn't get it for the ad points but how about the regular gas points. The manager in charge told me he couldn't do any thing. I really enjoy shopping there and will continue. I will find another company to buy my gift cards

I am not shopping at my local Centerville PA Giant store because:
* Savings discounts have changed from what you offered 2 years ago. You require that I purchase what you want me to purchase (in categories) as opposed to a discount on total sales of what I want or need to purchase.
* There is no sign requiring face masks required before entering the store as per Governor's' requirements or just common sense on how to keep others safe. ALL most all other local grocery stores have signs posted.
* There is NO HAND SANITIZER provided at entry to the store. Come on folks...Every store grocery or not, has this!!!!
* Giant cashiers at this location do NOT wipe the belt or the pin pad between customers. Other local grocery stores do this as standard operational procedure. This is just common courtesy to customers given the Covid virus situation that we are in.

I'd like to know if giant will ever change for their home delivery system and allow people with SNAP to use their service as long as we are paying the delivery fees in cash I don't see why you can't let us use our snap cards and keep them on file to choose what card we want to use when we're placing an order and then let us pay cash for the delivery fee since that would not be covered on snap I'm for $15 or less we can have our groceries delivered I know some people get $5 $600 a month and I know I get $112 a month and I got to carry my groceries home with me I got to pull them in a cart and I'm 62 I'm not old fail or bent thank God but I'd like to see this included to let people get their food delivered as long as they're paying the cash delivery fee this is 2020 white corporation has to catch up

I just left our neighborhood Giant on Chain Bridge Road in McLean, VA and it was AWFUL. This has been our neighborhood grocery store for decades. Today I went in to grab flowers for a friend of my son's who recently had surgery. I grabbed a few other items that we needed, and had intentions to shop more. But I didn't feel safe. This is the first experience I have had like this since COVID. And it was at our local Giant. Wanting to escape as quickly as possible, I went to the self checkout line. This place was PACKED. Most people but not everyone had masks on. Many who were wearing masks were wearing them under their nose or chin. There was no suggestion of social distancing or standing apart. People we cutting each other off, bumping into each other. Not even 6 inches apart were being respected. Clearly, management should NOT be allowing unlimited customers to shop at once. When I say PACKED, I mean, imagine your local grocery store the day before a snow storm or hurricane is coming. But WORSE. Aren't we in in the middle of a pandemic?? This was stressful and dangerous for everyone. Several other shoppers were heard expressing the same sentiment, expressing feeling especially horrible for the poor employes forced to work in these conditions. Shameful. Giant, you need to do better. Until we have some reason to believe that you care more about the health and well being of your shoppers than making a few extra bucks, we will be doing our family's shopping elsewhere. So disappointing! Get over your greed.

Today I purchased 2 packs of oxtail from your store on Sinclair in Baltimore. When I opened the packages the smell let me knoe the meat was bad. When I took the meat back the manager refused to come out and talk to me. My money was refundedI felt disrespected by the manager. I shop at this store for my family and my job.

Posted by Anonymous

I am concerned why your store on Old Court Road in Baltimore
County only has one door to enter and exit your store.
This is in contradiction to the six foot distancing policy mandated my the state of Maryland. The space in that entrance does not allow for social distancing. Why is this happening? I have noticed that other food markets do not have one way in and the same way out of their stores. This policy has stopped me from shopping at this store location.

I just heard that Giant is having seniors only shopping fro 6-7am. How absurd is it that a 70 or 80 year old should get up at 5am to grocery shop!
You should be ashamed of yourselves. 8-9am is a much more considerate and caring option. I have dipped at Giant for over 50 years. No more.
