Today I called because I had purchased a rug cleaner and in the box we received an incorrect tank for the solution and clean water. We purchased this product in 2021 but it was never used. It was in a box because of a move that we had made and building a home, so when we went and opened it to use it found that it was unusable since we didn't have the correct tank I called to get a correct tank due to your error and was told I had to purchase one. I was willing to pay half price for it, but was told I could have 15% off. Needless to say I didn't have a choice since the product is unusable and I was told that since it was not in warranty anymore, that is why I had to pay for it. Not sure how this can be a warranty problem when it was an incorrect part that was put on a brand new rug cleaner I offered to send pictures, showing the carpet cleaner, the box, the tools that are still in their bags and the incorrect tank, but was told it didn't matter. Very poor customer service will never never buy another Hoover product again, I have previously owned mini Hoover products vacuums, rug, cleaners, etc. but never again

Have been a Hoover Customer for 40+ years. Always happy with the quality and service and the vacuum has lasted many years. Imagine my surprise when the Hoover vacuum purchased 9/21/2019 stopped working. After calling and speaking with a rep, the vacuum was officially broken and out of warranty. 4 Years old just seemed like a very short time. I guess my expectations were unrealistic as all my other Hoover Vacuums lasted many years. I will definitely will explore other brands. Very disappointed customer!!!

I have been trying to contact HOOVER for 4 weeks. All I get is the recording that the call is important, but they're helping other callers I have yet to get an agent, even after holding on for over an hour one day. I have left my phone number numerous times, and even got a ticket number once ,but still haven't heard from anyone. It's POOR Customer Service and I'm sure Mr. Frias would not be happy to hear about this. I'm annoyed this product passed Quality Control and disgusted by the sorry customer service. I guess agents are home in their pajamas, sleeping and getting paid for it

Just wanted to tell someone maybe in tech that the option of shutting off the beater brush needs to stay. When the beater brush stays on it scratches wood floors and gives carpets a burn like patch. And if a toe happens to go under vac while brush is moving, well that hurts. When the handle is up the brush should stop I know this because I have been cleaning houses professionally for 32 years and I have only used hoover vacs buying one new one every year. This year I am returning the vac I just bought because of this change and will be forced to seek another manufacturer

I am really wishing I'd have seen this before I purchased my Hoover Smart Wash carpet cleaner. It lasted only 9 months when the brushes stopped rotating.

I checked YouTube, figuring it was something simple like a worn belt, but there is nothing there. I contacted customer service and noted:

1. They do not give the company name until they tell you they're too busy for your call. (That should have been my first clue.)

2. I provided my e-mail address asking for guidance and AFTER A WEEK, they finally responded to say that they needed model and serial number. Okay... but there's only one version of the Smart Wash, but whatever. I'll comply.

After several more days, they again requested model and serial number, along with my address and phone number. So, not only are they selling worthless products, but now they're going to sell my contact info. NOT HAPPENING. Oh, and they want the receipt. Not sure why, but I responded that I don't have it, seeing as I expected the product to work more than a few months.

They also suggested that I make sure the nozzle is attached. I asked about that, as the brushes are NOT connected to a nozzle.

Clearly, the e-mails are robo-responded, so now I am 12 minutes into sitting on hold Wish me luck on that. I am seriously regretting my purchase.

Purchased a $200 carpet cleaner only to find 2 years later its broke. I have barely used this thing only on a few area rugs in my home as the home is mostly wood floors. I purchased my model for the features it had. I am not being told that the most comparable model is a lower end model with out my features. I asked for monetary reimbursement and was told Hoover doesn't do this. Since they had me cut the power cord, i cant take it to have it serviced elsewhere I am being told I have to accept the lower model or nothing. This is my first Hoover purchase and will never purchase again. I have had Bisell and never had this problem before. I spoke to a supervisor who was helpless as well. This is not my fault that Hoover doesn't make my model any longer, but I do expect as warranty states comparable or better. Well there is no comparable so why is the lower model being sent? Horrible customer service.

Vacuum broke in less than a year. It's covered under warranty but Hoover customer service is making it a complete nightmare. They actually want me to send the broken unit back at my expense before they will do anything. For a vacuum I paid $100 for, the cost of shipping it back makes zero sense, and they know this. I'm going to write it off, but everyone should know this company is an absolute nightmare to deal with. I suggest you avoid purchasing Hoover products because if you ever have a problem, which is likely at some point, you will not be at all happy with their astonishing lack of customer service.

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I ordered the NEW Hoover Wet vac. On the same day I also ordered the new Bissell Crosswave Max. I received my Bissell a week later. My Hoover took an additional week and a half to arrive. There was NO comparison between the two machines. The Bissell literally wiped the floor with the Hoover. I ended up sending both units back on the same day. I received my refund from Bissell within a week. 5 weeks later and 6 phone calls later I am STILL WAITING FOR MY REFUND. In addition, they never sent me the correct number of return labels to send the unit back along with a mini vac I ordered. That alone took 2 phone calls to get rectified. I bought the Hoover because it used to be a trusted name in the vacuum industry. NO MORE. NOT ONLY WILL I NEVER BUY FROM HOOVER AGAIN, I WILL ALSO MAKE SURE NONE OF MY FRIENDS OR FAMILY BUY HOOVER AGAIN. TERRIBLE DOESN'T BEGIN TO DESCRIBE WHAT A MISMANAGED COMPANY IT IS.

I received a 1974Y approximately one month ago. The unit itself was determined to be faulty and Hoover sent a replacement.

The new unit arrived today, but it does not charge (I am currently on the phone with a supervisor - - and after multiple requests to speak with his supervisor - he is just simply staying on the line and saying nothing. It has been approximately 5 minutes now.

I can not say strongly enough how difficult customer service has been with this company. It has been a complete nightmare.

I've called dealers line. Phone picked up guy and he wasn't polite and respectful. I've asked to talk to supervisor, he said he is supervisor. I've ask his name 4 times and he ignored my question and didn't tell me.

I've questions about Hoover warranty service and now I don't know what to do.

Dear Sirs,
Two weeks ago I purchased a Hoover Whole House Elite vacuum cleaner for $119.00 at Walmart in Vernal, Utah. Overall, I am very happy with this particular vacuum. My two previous vacuums were Sharks and I did not care for some problems unique to the brand. I went back to my old faithful brand, Hoover. While this vacuum does perform well, so far, it has one design flaw that is just disgusting. The dirt compartment fills rapidly, which doesn't say much for my housecleaning routine. Once it is full, it is nearly impossible to get the dirt out of the container. I have to actually reach in and pull the dirt out with my fingers because it is such a tight area between the inner part and the container wall. Ugh. This is disgusting. Had I realized that I would be digging into the container to empty it, I would have passed on an otherwise fine vacuum. I am the only income in my home and spending $119.00 for this vacuum was difficult to do. It meant I had to cut back on groceries. I'm sorry to say that if anyone were to ask my advice about buying a new vacuum I would tell them how disappointed I am in this one.

DO NOT BUY HOOVER!
Purchased an expensive vacuum, kept breaking belts. One problem after another. Contacted customer service, said I could take it and repair at my cost. GEE thank you!!! Nothing they can do, asked...so does Hoover just make vacuums to last a year? Said she was sorry but nothing she could do. Way to run a business, sell worthless, expensive vacuums that only last one year. I would be better off to purchase cheap vacuum at Wal-Mart.

SAID TO SAY HOOVER DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS!

I have a 5 yr warranty from Comet... which I know has gone bump but I still have the same rights . My hoover washing machine broke when it was 12 months old ... Shocking it took 4 days for them to come out , I have three children one who is severely disabled I'm a single mum no local family still had to wait 4 days . Month later washing machine broke again ; another load of agonising waiting on the phones somebody answered who was hard at first and did seem to help until I had to put the phone down to get a number from comet yes a number ! Then I had to phone back another 20 mins waiting to SUE EXT 6329 who was disgusting for customer services I was forthright but I was upset about the full situation but she could of diffused it she's sat at a desk being paid for being helpful !! The last line from her was Saturday or nothing ,,,,, or nothing couldn't believe she said that considering I just told her my life story !!! I will never get a hoover washing machine again and I certainly won't but a 5 yr warranty when you wait 3 - 4 days for a repair and the dodgy customer services !!

I Tried Twice This Afternoon To Place An Order, And When The Confirmation Was Sent To Me,
Everything Was Incorrect. Town, Zip, Telephone Number. When I Called To Correct, The Person Was Exasperatingly Rude. The Telephone Number Is Still Incorrect, I Am Going To Report This Rudeness To Bbb And State. Never Again Will I Purchase A Hoover With Such Disgusting Customer Service

Hoover Customer Support should be called NO SUPPORT! Your Extract 77 carpet cleaner has never worked adaquately and your support department has not replyied in a week to a follow up back to you! I guess the old fashion picking up a telephone and calling no longer exist in our hi tech world. There is a label on the handle of the cleaner thats says "do not return to store"......so I am relying on e-mails. Your solutions DO NOT work. I told them I am a senior citizen that can not afford expensive professional carpet cleaning, that is why I purchased an Extract 77....what a waste of money. But I am not surprised in the lack of urgency Hoover has put on my request for help.....or to get my cleaner operative so I can clean my carpets. I have wasted my time trying all the solutions and none work. I fully expect this message to fall into a "Corporate Blackhole", ignored while I have a useless piece of carpet cleaning machine gathering dust. Hello corporate America, I still believe your financial success and sustainability is built on customers and customer satisfaction!
But when the parent company is Hong Kong based, maybe that is the difference.....next stop Hong Kong.

I bought a hoover shampooer from Kohl. The product was horrible. The parts were flimsy and easily broke. The shampooer did not suck the water as a result I nearly destroyed my beautiful rug. I thought Hoover was a good company but not any more. I would never buy a Hoover product anymore and I would tell all my friends that they think many times before they bought your product. My suggestion is please do a better quality control. As a consumer I paid lots of money and I deserve better.

I bought a HOOVER Flair and it was so horribly designed. Cheaply made and it hardly had any suction. Cleaning the suction cup was such a chore and the cup was very small. I called Customer Service and they said I had to ship it back and pay for the shipping. I was outraged and I asked to speak with a Supervisor and finally some lady got on the phone and told me if the vacuum was defective they would pay for the return shipping. I told her there was hardly any suction and she said they would not pay for return shipping. I returned the vacuum and it cost me $18.86. I again called Hoover Customer Service and spoke with a lady called Tiera and after telling her my story she said Hoover would refund my shipping cost. Several days go by and I called Hoover to see about my refund and was told there would be no refund. I told this gentleman about what Tiera told me and he checked with her while I waited and he came back and said there would be no refund even after Tiera lied to me. I've been a long time Hoover customer as I am 80 years old, and to be treated this way is beyond my comprehension. Corporate headquarters should know about this and how their Customer Service Reps are treating their customers. 4/29/13

VVe have had hoover products for years and were always very satisified with them. In 2009 we purchased the platinum series max extract carpet cleaner and it did a very good job with cleaning our carpet. Recently the front/rear cover lower handle (under this is where all the circuit boards are placed etc). I was going to order a replacement part and realized this machine had a 6 year warranty on it. VVhen we contacted your customer service dept. we were told that would not be covered because we could have dropped it, or picked it up without lifting from the front also. (note, in the hoover book "section 3, page 11- how to operate" it states when lifting, use the carry handle on the back of the machine, says nothing about lift front of machine also.) VVe tried to explain where it is broke, there is no way by dropping it, this would have broke. Also the canisters, which are plastic would have also broke if it were dropped. THis is a heavy machine; however, the handle should be made strong enough to support the pullng and pushing of the machine while cleaning the carpet. It is to clean the carpet, correct??? VVhy else would you have a warranty on this product? VVe are very disappointed with the service we have received and are now considering going to a Bissell.

I purchased the all terrain carpet "steamer" a few years ago. It does not get much use but we have had to replace several parts on it already and now the water solution tank cracked and leaked all over the carpet. What a piece of crap, it sucks. I now had to order the replacement tank. All the parts that broke on this thing I could have bought a new machine (never a hoover again) I see many people have complaints about it. You should give us the tank for free for all the aggrevation we have had. I dont know what will break next on this substandardly made item
