Your stores are absolutely toxic from the pesticides, weed killers, fertilizers and all organophosphate chemical products. I cannot stand shopping for long because the chemicals are so bad. It's 2023. Why can't Lowe's stop this abuse to the workers and customers!? This garbage has been proven to cause severe health issues including Parkinson's, cancer, endocrine damage and so much more. The "more" all being tragic. Do something about it!! Be first to stop carrying this trash that's literally killing off life everywhere.

February 2, 2018 - BEWARE MAYTAG WASHERS... bought a Maytag washer, it does not work properly. When the tech came out he was told by Maytag that the washer needs a dedicated circuit. MAYTAG WON'T HELP, LOWE'S BLAMES MAYTAG, MAYTAG BLAMES THE INSTALLER AND THE INSTALLERS ARE JUST 'hook up" guys... this is not acceptable. I WANT A REFUND. I WANT THE CONSUMER TO BE TOLD THAT THE NEW MACHINES NEED A DEDICATED CIRCUIT. this devious behavior of omitting important facts regarding the operation that a consumer would not, under normal circumstances, know abut is NOT ACCEPTABLE. I WANT A REFUND.

It is with great disappointment I write this email. I know Lowe's probably could care less about me, an individual, but I need to vent.

I am not sure where to begin. We placed an order for a stackable washer and dryer unit for a little over 1360.00 online. Just after placing the order I received an email confirmation saying there were two orders placed. One at an Arvada CO store and one for the Aurora CO store. I immediately called the customer service line and was told that she could see the error and cancelled the order from the Aurora store. We thought everything was fixed.

The next day we went on a short three day trip (with no phone service or Internet) and returned late last night. My husband checked the bank account and there was 0 in the account and over 600.00 in overdraft fees. Both orders were placed and money was taken out of the account. There is also 2 pending transactions for two more orders to the tune of 3000.00 to come out of an empty account today!

I called Lowe's customer service first thing this morning. I was told by Mona to call our bank.

I called the bank, the bank considered the charges fraud and filled a claim. They also told us to call the store.

I called the Arvada CO store where the two pending orders were placed and was on the phone with a customer service rep Regina. While on the phone with her, the phone call was interrupted by the store operator and ended. She had just asked for my number but did not call back. I called her within 30 seconds and asked to speak to her. I was told she had gone on her break! In the middle of a call! I was livid! I had already had to tell the issue to 4 people.

I asked to speak to a manager. The phone was handed to a man who said " hey". I asked who he was and he said " Josh" . When I asked what was his position he replied " yea, assistant manager". I again explained my issue. He then turned the phone over to Rob who said he was the assistant manager.

Rob said our problem was with the bank. That they had authorized the charges. I tried to remain calm. I didn't raise my voice, use any ugly language, or accuse. I was lied to. I cancelled the order all together and Rob did help with this. I explained I felt like Regina had been very disrespectful. His response was "I need to talk to my girls".

The issue is still not resolved. Our bank (Wells Fargo) says that Lowe's is at fault. The charges came from the Arvada store. We were told it could take 10-15 days for the money to be returned. We are not OK with that. The money came out immediately and is not available. What if that money was my house payment? Or power bill payment. How can Lowe's just take money unauthorized, keep it, not be truthful, and then lie?

We are beyond frustrated as you can see. Lowe's owes me a washer and a dryer if for no other reason then for the frustration caused. We have a negative bank account because of your errors, we owe overdraft charges that we would never have had otherwise. I still do not have a way to wash clothes and won't until the money is returned.

I want to make a formal complaint with someone, but cannot find how or where to do so. We prefer Lowe's over others and spend several thousand each year there. We are educated, ethical customers and expected to be treated respectfully and instead were treated poorly.

Totally Dissatisfied

Nightmare on Stain Glass, Desoto, Texas. I purchased a Samsung Refrigerator, Dishwasher and Microwave. The set my appointment to deliver the items for a morning delivery. When I did not hear from them by 2pm I called Lowe's to make sure they were coming. I was told they had to reload the truck and my delivery would be there within 1 1/2 hours. At 6 pm I called again and spoke with the assistant manager. I was told he tried reaching the driver but was unable to reach them. I asked if they tried reaching their supervisor and was told he was their supervisor. "Really", but he could not reach them. He asked if I wanted to reschedule for my next day off, after I explained to him that I had wasted an entire day waiting on the delivery. They assured me they would make the delivery the next day. The refrigerator was delivered and once they disassembled my house to get it into my house, it had a hug dent on the door just over the ice maker. The assistant manager offer me 300.00 to keep the fridge. When I refused to keep it, he became upset and told me they could not deliver another fridge until another week. I went to the store the following day and spoke with the manager. He apologize, gave me a $300.00 for the time lost while waiting, and agreed to have the fridge delivered that day, and it was. . .However, it was not working. I called the customer service number to get assistance. She used the manual to walk me through steps to try and set the temperature. When it did not work, I requested a service per be sent out. They told me They could not send anyone until the next day. I asked if they were going to pay for the food that was going to be ruined. Her response was, "only if you purchased the warranty". Now they left a fridge at my house that did not work but they would not pay for the spoiled food. :( It gets worse. I went to Lowe's yet again, explained to them what happened and the appliance manager, who did not have a clue, grabbed a manual and followed me to my house and took it out of demo mode, which appeared to be the problem. Here is the worse part.....Christmas Day I opened the fridge to place food inside. When I closed the door, the entire right door fell completely OFF and landed on the floor, after striking the right side of my head/neck, leaving a long scratch behind my ear :( I went back to Lowe's store and spoke with the manager yet AGAIN, and showed him the pictures I had taken of the door sitting on the floor. He apologized "again", and sent a service person to my house to see what happened. The service person is here now, informing me that he has to go back to the store to get washers to put on the door to adjust the height because the door are uneven. My question to him was, why would a brand new fridge need adjustments? It seems to me that the manufacturer would have included washers had the door been meant to need washers. I have never in my LIFE seem so many people with such poor knowledge of what they are doing. The worse service I have EVER received. The only reason I have not returned the refrigerator is because I had to totally dismantle my house to get it in, to include removing doors off both my house and the refrigerator, and I just could not go through that again! I am totally disappointed in the service at EVERY level, to include the corporate number I called for assistance :( Buyer BEWARE....Nightmare on Stain Glass, Desoto, Texas. :( :( :( :( Everyone one in appliances need to be trained and the Assistant Manager and his drivers need to be disciplined....Anytime a fortune 500 company such as Lowe's cannot get in contact with their drivers, and I was told the company issues them cell phones, that is a HUGE problem.......This is ironic, I just received a confirmation call from Home Depot, informing me that the Gas Range I purchased from them, is scheduled for delivery tomorrow between 8am and 12pm, and that I will receive a call .30 min before hand to make sure Im available....Now that is how you handle business. Lowe's show take a page from their handbook.....I can honestly say that any future home improvements, including the $4,500 counter tops, will be done through Home Depot....I refuse to give my hard earned money to a company who does not appreciate my business....Good bye and Good Ridden! My wife purchased a MAYTAG dryer back in JUNE that had been returned because it was loud. She was told that the dryer had already been converted over to propane. We got it home and it didn't work. LOWES sent over someone to look at it they said they had to order a new striker. OK, another two weeks go by. Finally new part is in and she is using the dryer. A few months go by before she tells me that sometimes its burning or scorching and leaving black soot on the clothes and inside the dryer.
We called LOWES they said our extended service was through MAYTAG.
MAYTAG said call and have it looked that it would be covered. When the repair man looked at it they said it had NOT been converted to propane. I was shocked! The first repair service that LOWES sent over back in June did not say anything about it not being converted! Our house could have burned down! And you should see all the clothes that got scorched! LOWES offered us a new dryer to replace it. But no mention of any compensation for all the burnt clothes!
Now the new dryer wont match the washer and so we asked LOWES how much to buy the washer that matched? My wife was told the conversion kit was being ordered to be sure it would arrive and would be withT the new dryer. Not knowing at the time that LOWES would not be doing the conversion, because the first dryer she purchased was supposed to have been converted, she told me this new dryer would be already converted.
The new washer and dryer get here and the dryer is NOT CONVERTED! I now know I'll be doing the conversion but I still do not have the KIT!
They told my wife as soon as it came in somebody would "run it out to us" . Instead they put it in the mail. THE MAIL IN DECEMBER AT X-MAS TIME! REALLY? This started in June with the purchase of the first dryer At that time we really needed to be able to wash and dry clothes, my wife takes care of her 88 yr. old Mother who has trouble with bowels! The fact that we have been without a working dryer really since June our the first call about the burning and scorching was back in November and it was the 18th when we were told the old dryer wasn't converted. New dryer, why are we still without a kit and a working dryer on this the 23rd of December? This leaving me up ... creek.without......! You get the picture.

i bought a Maytag washer at Lowes Mill Creek, WA. Jan 2010 bought a 5 year warranty and my washer broke down (would not fill, but would spin) November 18, 2013. Today I had my second house call to fix it. I have been without a washer for three weeks Monday. The first time they brought the "wrong" part, parts have to be ordered at the warranty company and takes 7-10 days to receive, today the repairman installed two parts and worked on my machine for over two hours, it still won't fill but still spins. Now it will be late December before I have a washer, talked to the manager, Jason, and
he said it was the warranty peoples problem, but his store sold me the warranty... I am doing a kitchen remodel soon and sure know where I will never go to buy another appliance! Mad Grandma!!!

Today, on Dec 6th, I went into the Bayshore Lowes to pick up a BBQ that I had bought to be put together. A nice young man by the name of Jonathan helped my brother and I attempt to get it into my brothers car. We even had to take the top off of the BBQ for it to fit and Jonathan was nice enough to help us out with that. UNTIL, Jonathan noticed a HUGE, rusted dent on the side of the BBQ. How an employee thinks its ok to build a BBQ with dented parts is beyond me. Jonathan was nice enough to offer me the floor model and he was going to swap out the scratched pieces with new parts but I decided against that. In the end, I ended up taking home a BBQ in a box. I'm not happy. I know that it was Free to have the BBQ put together but I think its ridiculous that it had dented and rusted parts.

Today was Sat. 09/14/13 and I went to store #1805 in Buckhannon WV 26201 to pick up a ton of wood heating pellets. I went to the front check out and got quick and courteous service from the lady at the register. She called back to the lumber Dept. requesting for someone to load them for me. they told her that they were busy loading building supplies and that I would have to wait in line. That would have been fine except that when I went back to the loading dock I didn't see any vehicles back up waiting to be loaded. When I went inside there was only 1 of the 2 registers open and no lines of waiting people, only Ashley and Kenney behind the only register open not wanting to be disturbed. After some angry wording I managed to get the two love birds to load my pellets. Maybe your monthly bonus to them should be a nights pay in a motel room.

It is with great disappointment that I have to inform you about our stressful situation dealing with your kitchen renovation dept at LOWES of Woodbridge in Prince William County, VA. We were told by your representative that delivery and installation of our kitchen cabinets and countertop would be within 6-8 weeks. The whole project is not only delayed due to the incompetence and extremely poor management of this project but the whole process has been disjointed and a display of lack of cohesiveness, professionalism and customer service. We have lost total respect for the company and wished we could have taken our business to another company. The remodel of our kitchen is anticipated now to take over 4 months (if we are lucky). I don't think a company of your size could take pride in over promising your clients and then delivering such a poor performance. We are truly regretful to have dealt with your company, therefore we will advise our friends and family to spare them of the aggravation of dealing with LOWES.

My husband and myself were at your Wilkesboro NC store today Sept 1, 2013. My husband had went there looking for a chuck key for his drill and the form that holds the metal railing down on a porch. We had very bad customer service. We were looking for the chuck key for his drill know one ask if they could help him look for anything. When he ask for help and he told them what he was looking for he was told they didn't have any and the same happened with the metal railing .He was told they didn't have any. I would have expected better from this store because this is the county where Lowes started out at. We were planning to buy a lot of things today, but I guess that we will take our business elsewhere.

Just purchased a Kohler Cimarron toilet at Lowe's Brodie Lane. Although Lowes.com indicated that the item was not available at this location ; Robert in plumbing checked the floor and found one as indicated in his inventory . In order to complete the sale he stayed a few minutes late and did not hesitate to help me get the heavy item in the car. I really appreciate the prompt service and the nice manner- independent of any features of the toilet.

While visiting family we stopped at Lowe's store number 1122, in New Carrollton, MD. I was looking at carpet and a young man named Tony Anderson was there to help me. He was the most friendly and helpful person I have met in any business. I hope Lowe's Corporate Offices recognizes Tony's great service to their customers because he would be an asset to any business. This young man will go far with his great attitude, personality, and willingness to be helpful.

I read the comment about the HR Manager sleeping with guys in the store, well that seems to be normal at Lowes stores, In Nacogdoches, Texas the store HR Manager is sleeping with a receiving associate and has been for a long time, it is common knowledge throughout the store, that associate she is sleeping with has gotten every job he has applied for. That is against corporate policy, but she is protected because of her race and also by the area HR Manager, so she gets away with it and she laughs at everyone because she is protected, Lowes preaches it is a fair company but rhis proves that your race determines if you have to abide by the same rules as others do. Stay away from Lowes and work at a good company and not Lowes, it is a racially biased company.

I purchased an item at a LOWE'S store in Bedford, N.H.,and returned it to the (Nashua, N.H.)LOWE's store on Daniel Webster Highway, to have amount credited to my LOWE's credit card. Apparently this LOWE'S Store in Nashua,N.H has their own
separate policies(which conflict with ALL other LOWE's stores)
and will not accept/credit item, which was purchased at another LOWE's store and has to be a stock item. I really think this
store is miss-managed and poorly represents LOWE's corporate policies/procedures, and most certainly should be addressed/investigated to assure return policy is compliant as any other LOWE'S store. It shouldn't be up to the store clerk/assistant,if they want to accept return/restock on shelf/or credit item, in this store/location.

Please address this customer issue/store management problem.

I ordered floor tile from my local Lowe's. They said they would have it at the store within a week. I picked the tile up and when installing noticed that they were from 4 different lots and so the tile were different sizes. Went back to Lowe's telling them the men had to stop working and were being paid for by the day. That night I did receive a call that they found the right tiles. I had to pay someone to return 20 boxes and pick up 20 boxes of the right size tiles. I did not receive any apology from the store manager for the loss of my time and the time of the men doing the job. Totally disappointed in Lowe's.

Too many assistant managers with no authority. My wife has tried for month to get my 9 month old lawntractor fixed. Various different stories. From we will replace it, we will fix it, and nobody has done anything. A call to corporate customer service got pity then referal right back to the same people who can't get it fixed, replaced, or a pro rated refund. I BOUGHT A FOUR YEAR SERVICE POLICY! This is not service!

I don't know if you are aware but your human resource manager in Apple Valley, Ca has slept with guys that are now getting into positions that they do not deserve. The employees at this store are told that supposably these guys scored more points during the interview process but they should have never gotten an interview for the position in the first place when there's been several complaints about the person(from co workers and customers) how do you expect the other employees to be positive about the company they work for when people get special treatment. How do expect your customers to want to shop at a place like this? It really goes to show that you can sleep your way to the top in a corporation like yours. Thanks for showing people what an American corporation is all about.

I have been dealing with Lowes for years, this past week i placed a $3000.00 order to be delivered, I gave them my cell number for them to call ME when MY order was suposed to be delivered on friday afternoon, will it was delivered friday morning without a phone call, well i wasnt home and they didnt deliver the whole order of roofing supplies, now i called the store @ 5 pmwhen i got home,(someone was home the whole time, so nothing was stolen)icalled the manager, he was apologizing about the count being off and that the rest of the shingles whould be out the next day (nov10,2012)...nothing came, so i went to lowes, asked the clerk, she called the store manager, said he would be with me shortly...15 minutes went by, the clerk informed me that he was have the employees do inventory on the shingles, finally after she heard me get on the phone with my husband and told him how i was being treated, themanager came out, he was a rude man, telling me that we recieved all our order, I kept telling him to get the delivery person to come in to say he delivered the whole order, now this whole process took about an hour, ended with him saying infront of other customers,"i know you recived the whole order, but i will GIVE you more shingles!" I asked if he was calling me a thief, he just looked at me and said wait right there, the clerk was there and i pulled out
my cash and told hei didnt have to steal!!
the other couple said that was terrible and that they were going to home depot, after this experience, and thousands spent at lowes, i will be going to home depot!

My husband and I bought a $2800.00 12x16 Liberty building a couple of weeks ago from Lowe's in Greer, SC and had it delivered and built onsite. The manager, Jamey, filled out all the paperwork. He told us it would be primered and would look just like the one on the lot. When it got here, it was not primered..I thought what are we going to do. We went back to Lowe's and talked to Jamey. He said he was sorry, that he thought it was primered. We had to buy 2 gallons of paint, and one white for the trim. Also, paint brushes. If we had known it wasn't going to be primered, we would have paid more to have it done before it got here. We are 60 and 62 years old and have been painting for two days and we aren't through yet. Oh, and we need more paint. I am so upset that this happened it's all I thought about while I painted all day. What do you think? If your employees don't know the product...don't sell it!!!

Several weeks ago, I purchased Owens Corning Supreme AR shingles in Chateau Green from the Lowes in Rochester, MN.

We did not have a place to store all the shingles we needed so we bought what we could use immediately 8 bundles. We were told the shingles were open stock and it would be no problem to get the rest for our job which requires in all 30 bundles.

Went back today only to find that they do not have the shingles. They are a "non-stock" item now, even though they still appear as available online. I asked if they could special order what we needed to complete our project and was told "no".

I tried to call the manager and was put on hold and then hung up on.

We have a partially shingled house and I am furious. Because of the color they are hard to almost impossible to find. I also just bought $1,000 worth of privacy fencing materials from Lowes.

I will never set foot in your store again. This is the worst
customer service I have ever received from any organization and I will tell everyone I know exactly how poorly Lowes treats its customers.

This is just a terrible thing to do to a formerly loyal customer!

I know that most business only hear from customers when the customer is upset. I on the other hand am correspondening to let you'll know how wonderful it was to be greeted and attended to by your store manager (Dennis A.Smith) in San Antonio, TX. I was in town to help my daughter/son-in-law take care of a few items around the house. He made my experience at the store worth every second. With a manager like Dennis your store on Callaghan Rd. is only going to rise to the top. I would recommend you'll take a close look at promoting Dennis to area/district manager, you'll will not regret your decision.

I have a lowes credit card for at least 10 years. I have charged tens of thousands of dollars with lowes. I have
attempted to reach customer service by phone with no help.
I dont understand why the company makes it so hard to have a customer speak to a human being. I will do more business with Home Depot or any other store in my area...

First of all, I am highly insulted at the lack of help I tried to obtain from the customer service helpline. I was on hold for several minutes before I was greeted by a representative named Nicole who was eager to assist me with my problem using my Lowe's account card; only she wasn't able to do anything to help me. I was placed on hold again to be redirected to another rep named Shannon who was supposed to be able to assist me. Complete waste of time. I wanted to make an appliance purchase with my Lowe's card since I hadn't in quite a while and they were offering the best benefits: 5% off for using your Lowe's card, an additional promo code for 10% off plus free parcel shipping for items purchased over $49. Shannon informed me that my account had been closed and could not be renewed because they were not accepting any new consumer business accounts at this time. Yet once my session timed out, it redirected me to the Lowe's site which asked if I wanted to apply for a Lowe's card!!!!! Go figure. I HAVE A-1 CREDIT, over 800 and she didn't even want to try and assist or accomadate me in any form; ie.. by talking with a superior or any thing. I have several other cards I could have used to make the purchase but I wanted to use my Lowe's card w/ an exp date of 05/13 to do so because of the extra discount. (Who doesn't want to save?) This was simply for a window air conditioner. I also planned on purchasing a new washer and dryer in the VERY near future as well. But thanks to unsatisfactory assistance from your Lowe's representative (Shannon), I guess I'll take my money and good credit elsewhere. Perhaps they'll be happy to price match and assist me at Home Depot or Sears. I guess you all are over the top in sales and business and don't need mine. I'll be sure to let my friends and family and business associates know how "well" you treated me. (A former member since 2007) Sincerely Teresa James
