Just got scammed out of $30.00 when I cancelled my serviced and ported my number back to Verizon. I guess you really have read their entire knowledgebase before making a commitment. In addition their senior reps used fowl language in the form of gibberish "nbd7an kuby7n " and the apologized for a keyboard malfunction. The chat conversation mysteriously disappeared when the session was over.

MagicJack has been harassing me on my cell phone. They call me 8 to 15 times a day, when I pick up they hang up. The number they are calling me from is 209 233 8864. I know that's a CA phone # but home office in Florida. I'm contacting the Attorney General next out of Florida. I have never heard of Magic Jack

I am a Canadian customer. I love America and Americans.
What I hate is the scam artists that come out of America.
MAGIC JACK seems to be yet another American scam artist company, with no phone nos., contact email info etc...
They send emails out from a "NO REPLY" service to their customers announcing a 33% increase in yearly rates, for no apparent reason other than because they can.
We in Canada need to stop buying American crap or is it Chinese crap, from America?
Just another disappointment from south of the border.

Wow! I guess I'm lucky. I've had MJ for 1 1/2 years and never had any trouble. Yes, the 90 minute cutoff is a bit annoying but other than that, zero troubles.

The other day, the line was dead. As it turns out the AC to USB plug got fried and it fried my MJ plus along with it. The replacement cost me $11.80 It won't be here for another 2-4 days. I simply forwarded all incoming calls to my other MJ plus and no problem....

Again, I guess I'm lucky....

20 days ago my Magic Jack account stopped working. I started with the computer model. When you came out with the one that did not need the computer connection I purchased that. I still had time on the first one so I told them not to renew that one and I would just renew the mj plus. When it came time to renew it said then account was under review but that was more than 20 days ago. No one can tell me anything so it looks like you are making persons pay 50 dollars to sign up allover again. Your employees just say your account is under review but no one knows why. Keeping your customers in the dark is a good way to lose them I have been with your company for 3 years and now this. I need a phone and if Magic jack can on longer supply service have the curtisiy to let your customers know whats is going on. We all need service and to work with provider that will not respond is not working. Please respond with a date so I can either wait or go with another company.

On December 18th I picked up my computer at the shop. On December 19th I noticed my old Magic Jack wasn't on the computer. So I called-up the shop and the Tech there told me he had done it and that I couldn't get it back. So, I ordered one, a mj plus, 2014. It costed me $63.??. Then, I was chatting with Neil, a customer rep at Magic Jack, and he told me since I had ordered one that if I would let them register it he would waive the $63.??. I got it yesterday and I spent all day trying to let them register it. But, to no avail. I still don't have it registered. That's what I'm doing now. And its 10:30 A.M. here,now.

I received an email from magic jack about upgrading to the magic jack plus 2014 I have saved the email and will contact the BBB and the Attorney General of my state. Your email states that if I upgrade by 12/06/13 at midnight I will get 6 months additional service to the 6 months service that comes with the upgrade. Rude customer service agents told me that this is not the case and I also have that conversation saved to a word document.

My cousin who is a manager with Radio Shack and also a magic jack customer could not make a Magic Jack Plus work at my home. It has been a nightmare--no telephone number to call--chat did not work. I decided to discontinue what never worked and was told it would cost $32.34 to get them to release me. They have not been willing to port my number. I will likely take them to small claims court.

I have been trying to get a refund for an overpayment since June 10, 2013 with no luck. I had the original Magic Jack for about a year and then I got an offer thru email to purchase the Magic Jack Plus for $39 instead of the $69 that was advertised. I did purchase it and of course no longer used the original which I assumed would not be active anyway since I upgraded. Apparently it was still on my account. In June when I went to renew the MJ Plus my internet went down in the middle of the transaction and I didn't know if the payment went through. After the internet came up I could not tell if the payment went through so I did it again. A few days later I noticed a double payment on my bank statement. I contacted Magic Jack through the "live chat" to report it and to get the overpayment refunded. I was assured it would be but after two billing periods. Since I did not use a credit card there was no billing period but they said that is the policy. I did check on the refund every couple of weeks and was assured each time it would be refunded after the billing period. After two months I still didn't receive my refund so i "chatted" again and got the same response. I did this every couple of weeks as I was not getting the refund or the confirmation email they promised I would get and I got the same response. "We have to send a report to our Billing Dept and they will send you a confirmation email" When asked how long it would take and each time it was 3-5 days. Here it is 5 months later and still no email or refund. If this email is going to the main office I would hope I might receive some legitimate help but as I read some of the previous emails you have received I don't have much hope. Just know that I hope your company gets its due and somebody out there with the legal capability brings a huge lawsuit against you. I am sure all of these people writing these emails will stand behind him/her. I will never recommend your company no matter how inexpensive it is and will not renew when the time comes. You are taking advantage of alot of people and it will come back to haunt you. Ever hear of Karma?

I can't understand why yur techs cannot resolev this issue. Up to Friday my Magicjack was working fine than later on in the day it stopped working nothing I nor the techs could figure it out. I deleted , re-installed , did update cleaned computer. I am at my wits end and it seems I am not the only one having this problem. How can we get this up and running again?

Just attempted to install MJ and found out after the fact that there is a 5-10 day wait while MJ works through some paperwork in order to get calls to come into my home. Not the package, the instructions, nor the first people I talked to at their Chat site told me that this was the problem I was facing. Not until about 3 hours later, I was informed of this delay. And this is after I had disconnected wires (not my previous provider) and all the service tech at MJ could say was, you just have to wait. You can make calls out but no calls will come in. What a service. I hope things run a little smoother in the future with these guys.

For the past two days I have been trying to pay for renewal to your services. However, no matter what server I use, I cannot renew for the five year offer I received over the phone. I have talked to 4 reps on line and I can't get past 0. I have been asked to give my IPO's, and all personal info, however, I get nowhere. I am a senior I need a phone, cannot live without it. Please, please try to correct your page so we can renew without a problem. The only way I will give my CC is if I can see what I am billed for, otherwise I will NOT. I just spent 12 hours on the phone with your staff yesterday unreal.. I have been a customer of yours for four years,and yet I have never been so mad at them that i feel like throwing ipmy mjplus out of the window. And you know what your product is one of the best period. But those guys and girls on the phone really need help. On10/03 my old model expired well I had your new mj plus so I thought no big deal right? WRONG ok my bad for trying to activate it after hours and keep my old number that so many friends, family, doctors, therapists,the va, ssi and most of my friends are still in my marine unit protecting our country and call me alot for moral support, you see three years ago a roadside bomb killed two very good men were killed two brave marines and my friends and I am on disability for multuple injuries that will never heal I take five different meds for my pain, on my body but never in my memories. I tell you this to give you an idea of how hard it will be to give them my number now. I first was given a south florida number after hours, I live in Northern Illinois. So at 8am i start my day with them just trying to keep my number thats expired, thruout the day I had two supervisors and nunorous upper ten techs tell me that it could be done. But it never was, oh they managed to give me a number 40 miles from my home and in a different county (cook) it was a 773 area code when my area codes are 224 and 847 so finally a supervisor approved a number change and after ten hours i was hapoy to even get that so now a night super julius started a two hour prosses and when he finished i not only got another number but it also was a 773 zip code and a number that i will never remember with all my meds i have very short tem memorie so after arguing with this "supervisor" he not only cut my conversation off in mid sentenance and no one was even listening to me no way your oh so confident night crew. Oh i also was cut off by maya in mid sentance. All i want is my old EXPIRED number on my new mjplus. 224-400-9456 not 773-958-7589 12 hours in my chair four different staff assuring me this could be done, and all i got was more pain no bathroom breaks just promises a supervisor nice enough to give me a free number change and a night super who not only doesnt liston but cuts me off! Let me ask you something does it make sense to tell this man yes northbrook with their 224 area code had the most options would he even told me that he would to try and find an easy number to remember only to have this man transfer a 773 area code to another 773 area code! And he tells me i said wanted this? And when i try to explain to him he just drops me from our internet conversation. Sir i am very saddened that i cannot keep my original number and end up with the same 773 - 45 mile number two of my new numbers are the same. And i will never remenber it. All this in twelve hours.

Called MY magicjack ph # to get messages and SOMEONE ELSE answered.
Contacted magicjack customer service (what a JOKE) with order number (incidently their customer service ph # disconnected...go figure) had to do online chat to ask what happened to my ph number.
All my friends and contacts know MY phone number. Agent confirmed my account was indeed valid and paid in full till 6/3/2019 BUT I have NO phone number !!!!!!!! Someone else decided that they liked my phone number so they (magicjack) gave it to them. Without notifying ME, they decided that they wanted my number. According to "customer lack of service" they'd SELL me a NEW number to replace it.

I've used MagicJack for the past three years for my home phone service. I've had very minor issues, and those were taken care of by their support department. It's great to not pay AT&T each month, and to not have to deal with their horrendous support. We've saved about $1,800 during that time.

I am very disappointed with the support service from MagicJack. We have been receiving dozens of phone calls from all over trying to reach an individual with a local university. I was able to contact this person, who has informed me that our phone number, which is 434 219-2371, has been somehow connected to a scam by a company in South Africa. This outfit is using our number, along with this university person's name, a false email address pretending to be the university, and scamming hundreds of people out of monies. We are needing to have MagicJack give us a new number and to totally remove the one we currently have, so that someone else does not have the problem we do now. This should be a matter of deep concern to the image of your company. We tried to handle this with online support, and only got a run-around. I also contacted the phone number and got the same run-around. This matter is being reported to our local police as well. This is shameful to your business, to ignore this important matter.

I just tried to auto-renew my magic jack plus. After putting in all the required billing information, i.e. credit card information, the system won't take and indicated that it was unable to process payment method. I called customer service and talked to Maladi (her accent sounded a native of India). Was told that it is Magic Jack policy that for me to renew, I must be physically residing in the U.S. and that I should call a family member who lives in the U.S. to call on my behalf and renew my subscription for me. Whaaaat? Ridiculous! I asked where is the policy in the homepage as I haven't read that before and even it was fine print, I still should be able to read all about it. But was told again by Maladi that magic jack has a lot of policy to be able to put it all on the homepage. I have never heard of a more pathetic line like that from their customer service representative! Appears that their call center is India. Am surprised that they don't call the United States and renew their staff in the States on their behalf! There goes employment in the United States -- outsourced to India!

I just learned that when you upgrade to MagicJackPlus you lose your service contract with the original MagicJack unit as it was explained to me by the help desk. This didn't make sense since all I was purchasing was an upgraded unit that wold allow me the ability to plug outside of computer if I wanted to. Since this could not be done I contacted MajicJack and continued to use MajicJackPlus attached to my computer. The service contract had nothing to do with the units except that I would get an additonal year of free service which I am made to understand I will not get.This is wrong and is an unethical practice. They are not being truthful with their shareholders

i have had m/j for a few years i was supposed to get my old # ported over 414 464 9205, it was never usable a person could only leave a message it never rang for me it went directly to voice mail. i never had use of my number. both of my m/j #'s are paid for until next year. I would like to exchange that money to the prepaid conference calls. since the 464 never works also i would like to know if I change computers what happens to my m/j thank-you i hope to get this resolved in a reasonable period of time

After reading all the comments about magicJack customer service, I'll add mine. It is a fiasco. I wasn't given any reason as to why my account is under review, even after going through the whole registration process. A manager from live chat, called Junrex, who claimed to be in the top 10% of customer service managers, gave me the same runaround as the first livechat person called Nataly. He then accused me of lying about actually registering my device and choosing my own phone number. I've never been accused by someone in any customer service of any company of lying before. Besides, what is the purpose in lying when you've paid for a device that the company refuses to allow to work after they've already collected my money?
The first livechat person, Nataly, kept promising to get me a manager (I lost count of how many times I asked for one) and then cut me off when I wanted some real answers as opposed to accepting the lame ones I was being given. I was concerned about my credit card being compromised, they weren't. More vague responses and run around. They weren't concerned that I had paid for a device that wasn't working because of issues on their end, of course they wouldn't admit to that because I was lying. And the manager, Junrex, thought his position as a top 10% agent made him special. Well, it would if you actually did your job and cared about the shoddy treatment of your customers by your subordinates. Whether the device actually ends up working isn't even of concern to me anymore. Dealing with a company with such terrible customer service is reason enough for me to terminate my business with them And I will.

Highly disappointed in your company. I paid for a Magic Jack; the company did not activate it as they said the account was "under review". Whatever that means since I paid for it. Obviously the company is taking our money without activating service. This is fraud. I suggest sending a letter to the U.S. attorney general's office in Florida.

I would never reccommend MJ to anyone. Was on live chat for 3 hours with 4 different people. The 4th person said it would be 10-14 days before it becomes active because we wanted to keep our present phone number. Then receive letter stating that insight did not recognize our number. When my nephew tried to call me to check to see if it was working, the operator told him he had to dial the area code. My number is not long distance from where he called. I would not want my family and friends to pay for a long distance call just because I have MJ. I returned it to the store.They would not give me a refund just a gift card at their store (Radio Shack). SO IT IS NOT WORTH THE SAVINGS AT ALL

VERY disapointted with the service. I will never recomend this to anybody! I have been given the round and round and no results since my issue 2 months ago. The chat personel are home base employees so they can really help you. I wanted to renewed my subscription and I gave my cc # ,well MJ said it can not be renewed because I use it out side the usa. I have been using the MJ for 1 year prior to this. No communication from MJ of any kind.

Magicjack begins your service year from the date you purchase and install the device. If you installation date is 2/1/12 and you renew it 2/13/13 MJ starts the new year on 2/1/13 you loose nearly two weeks. If you wait a month you loose a month...and so on. An easy way to make money and it seems to me a dishonest way.

DO NOT PURCHASE OR USE MAGIC JACK EVER!!! Magic Jack has the worst customer service and is unable to work with you in anyway. The phone reps just continue to say "I understand your concern but that is our policy." So even though customer satisfaction should be the driving force of any business, Magic Jack has no desire to please it's customers. They are quick to take fees for porting in and porting out even if you have only used their product for 2 weeks. So the bottom line is it cost me $125 for 2 weeks of poor service. Boy that is a deal if I ever heard one. Count us in on following up with the BBB because this company should not be allowed to operate anywhere in the world. DO NOT ORDER MAGIC JACK

I ordered 1 mj plus in my name. $81.64 was deducted from my account immediately due to being a debit. Not a problem. Problem is; I received 2 mj plus's in the mail. Knowing I didn't order 2, I went to the post office a few days later and returned it to MJ Corp. office via certified mail. Just the right thing to do, right? I didn't want to keep an extra mj plus that I didn't pay for. I sit down to pay my bills for the month and glancing through my husbands credit card statement I find that MJ has charged my husbands credit card $81.64. What!?!? MJ apparently keeps previously used credit card numbers on file, because there is no way my husbands cc should have been charged. Anyway, I send emails explaining everything, AND PROVIDED INFORMATION FROM THE POST OFFICE AS TO WHAT TIME, DATE, ADDRESS AND WHO RECEIVED AND SIGNED FOR THE RETURN MJ PLUS. Now I am getting no replies to my emails. I am now calling and getting NO where. In fact the supposed customer service rep. (what a joke!!!!!) said since I didn't follow proper proceedures in returning the package they cannot help me, and HUNG UP ON ME!!! Proper proceedures???? Who's proceedure did they follow when they charged my husbands cc?????????? Huh????? I even provided proof that it was retuned within 30 days of the order date, (which I didn't even order.) I to have had many problems with Majic Jack lately. Having used live chat numerous times and getting nowhere, I contacted corporate in West Pal Beach. Still waiting on an answer from them, and it is now one month. This is definitely a scam company that needs to be stopped. I filed a complaint today with the FCC, and was given a reference number to follow up. I highly suggest everyone contact the FCC and the Attorney Generals in Florida.

I had majicjack and all the features that went with it. I upgraded to Majicjack plus and lost my call forwarding. When I used live chat to inquire, I was told call forwarding was not available yet. I asked for a phone number in order to complain and the agent oon the chat basically terminated the chat without any information regarding who I could register a complaint with or where complaints were received. Live chat from MJ is worthless, and in the past three occassions that have used it, (over three hours of my time), nothing has been resolved. I feel like I'm being ripped off by having a feature taken away when I upgraded even though my subscription is paid up to May 29, 2015.

In June of 2012 my MJ phone was shut off mid contract. I was told it was under review...review for what I asked...theysaid they did not know and it was in a higher dpartment. After many hours of complaining it was reinstated with a loss of 3 weeks service that was never replaced.
Now I have gone to renew and I am told I am under review. Yep, it is in a higher department with expidite...they will contact me by email. It has been 45 days and many contacts by me and no result. YOU CANNOT RELY ON THIS PHONE FOR A MAIN NUMBER.

I received a voice notice that I was due for renewal on one of my phones. I went on line and received confirmation of the renewal, then I received notice, a month in advance, of my other phone expiring so I went on line and renewed it and received an acknowledgement of the renewal.
I am still getting messages advising of needed renewal every better handle on the ongoing annoying message being forced on me even after having purchased another year subscription for both lines.
I want to know why I can buy a 1 year or 5 year subscription but not a 2 or 3 year subscription?

Sorry to hear so many people have had major issues with their MJ. I have been with MJ since they first advertised on TV, then a brand new product, so it been a good number of years. At first having to use chat as only option for customer service was an annoying pain but I kept reminding myself this helped enable the cost to be so low (I've worked customer service/call centers/ escalated issues/supervised...so I've been on both sides of issues customer issues - note: never worked for magic jack..) so I know what good customer service should be,,,but, when frustrated with chat service I kept reminding myself how it was worth the cost of $20.00 for whole year of phone service. As time passed I learned how the "process" worked and how I could get to higher level customer service people who knew how to solve my issues. I have never had one major issue not resolved even though may have taken some patience on my part. Compare them to Verizon/Comcast/ etc., for which paid exorbitant amount of money and had MAJOR problems dealing with their customer service people.. Some issues never resolved for which I got rid of my land line phone before even hearing of Magic Jack. I would recommend people reign in on their own impatience and frustration which will only cause more problems for them to get their issues addressed. Accept that chat is the only form of CS and learn how their system works. As for the elderly woman...if she can't use the internet etc then it's up to the daughter to do it or find someone to do so. We have saved bundles since being with magi jack and will never go back to land line or another voip. My only current issue is that I can't take advantage of sale for current customers on the new MJ because I don't have a credit card and they won't take the debit card for this special offer and thought it's the same card I've been using for paying for their service. I understand why due to how debit cards work, however, they could set up the offer to have debit cards charged right away so can take advantage of special price. That being said, it's upsetting but not enough to cause me to lose the financial benefit I've had with MJ. I bought magic jack plus from best buy calgary, Canada. We plugged magic jack on the wall socket and directly with Internet DSL modem, it connects sometime for one minute and disconnects and most of the time message plays that error contact majicjack.com.
I have done all the things like troubleshoot but I think that there is something wrong in the product, please let me know the solution, what should I do, should I return to you guys, if yes then how.

I purchased MagicJack Plus in December 2011 and paid for a five year "Platinum Preferred" subscription. About three days later I paid some more money to "port in" my phone number from Vonage.

A few months later I was online and noticed that my subscription dates on my account online didn't match my order dates. I contacted customer service and was assured explicitly by "Roy" that my subscription and ported in number were paid for through the full duration of my subscription.

Fast forward to this month and I receive notice that my ported in number is expiring and they want a monthly or annual payment to keep it active. Once again I contacted customer service and even provided them the issue code and full transcript of my chat with Roy. It made no difference. They basically said 'Roy was wrong. Pay or lose the number.' and made no offer of a discount or refund to offset their error.

I decided to port the number out to another provider, for which MagicJack charged me $30. (I figured if I have to pay more money, there are far better service quality levels out there.) As a result, without any warning even in the billing detail for the "port out charge," MagicJack has cancelled by device subscription. In my subsequent conversation with customer service, they made no apologies, referencing an incredibly obscure "fine print" clause in their terms of service, giving them the right to cancel everything with no refund if you port a number out.

So, "my bad" for not reading the massive terms of service. But, one of the primary claims of shills like Dan Borislow (CEO of MagicJack [email protected]) and their ilk is that they are better than the regular phone/utility companies. Supposedly, they don't "play games" and "nickel and dime" consumers.

I am a case in point that this is not the case. They are just as bad, if not worse. Trust me and use something like Skype or even Xfinity Voice. (If I am suggesting Comcast is better than these guys, then you can rest assured, MagicJack is TERRIBLE!)

Do you ever read the comments that are displayed, do you really care about those of us that are your customers, do you people have any sense? Your means of customer service is to communicate with someone online who can't even resolve an issue that they are presented with. I got magicjack and had it only eight hours and knew immediately I made a bad decision by purchasing this piece of sh... It has been four weeks and I am still waiting for a supposedly PORTING DEPARTMENT to transfer my number back to myoriginal carrier. They requested an email from COMCAST my original carrier which they sent immediately, and they told me to pay $30.00 for the transfer and I did. My credit card has been charged and I, after four weeks still DO NOT have SERVICE!!! I am filing a lawsuit and I have already got in touch with the Better Business Bureau. It's just a damn shame that someone who is in business does nothing for their business, employees and most of all the customers. Once again SHAME ON YOU.
P.S. Also I am calling tommorrow my local news channe here in Washington D.C. so they can be exposed even more.

I have been without service for four days. Paid over the phone for activation for 5 years. Constant contacts with customer service have been unsuccessful. Called the billing department this morning and they advised to wait for an e-mail response. The representative HUNG UP on me.Had to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I purchased the plus since February 2012. I had major problems with their porting of my Vonage number, but I contacted M.J. while chatting with Vonage and that was correct. The quality was very poor but was able to correct that. Then my computer fax program could not work properly, but after allot of time, chatting and back and forth, it was corrected. Their site states that they have the traditional call waiting, however whenever I hit the flash button to get the inbound call, the original is disconnected. Their chat rep. stated that they don't have the option to fix this and will not refund any money if purchased longer than 30 days. I only found this site by accident when I tried to find their corporate office to complain about their false advertising; however, I only wish that I had seen this site B/4 buying this service. Although, I'm saving allot of money, I'm too afraid that I will also experience the same problem that everyone else has experienced. I will not renew my service when it's up and I'm gong back to Vonage. In fact, their call forwarding only works when you deactivate you home number and you can only do that by way of the internet. At least Vonage gives us the option of forwarding while your home number is still active. This way, I will not miss any calls if I should happen to leave my house instead of waiting around the home all day for a call. BEWARE OF MAGIC JACK.............

I will never understand how someone like this can get away with ripping people off and ripping them off he is. I have purchased 6 magic jacks so my kids can connect with me from their computers. I also purchased one for a business I was trying to get off the ground. I paid them up for 5 years because it was Christmas and I was feeling generous so it was $280 for the Jacks and $483. for 5 years on the lot. That was a hell of a lot of money and some of them worked and some of them did not. Could not get any help from the internet nor the Phone number displayed for help or the chat online avenue. After using MagicJack Plus for over 3 months, it suddenly stopped working. After more than an hour on the phone with their 'technical support', it worked once again; however, about an hour later, it didn't. I called 'technical support' again and they asked me the same questions all over again even though I explained that I had called earlier in the day and answered all those questions. After asking why they couldn't just pull up my previous information, I was transferred to another representative who was ranked in their top 10% (sure!). He proceeded to tell me I had the MagicJack Plus installed incorrectly. When I asked him why it worked before and nothing had been changed, he repeated that I had it installed incorrectly. The second time I questioned this, he disconnected. If I had seen this stream of comments before purchasing the hardware, I would have saved myself money and a lot of aggravation.

Everyone seems to echo the same thing. Let me sing harmony with them. This has to be the worst customer service of any company I have dealt with. You get canned responses that have nothing to do with your question, agents will disconnect your call if persist in getting an answer that addresses your problem. I had Anna and Damian. Both useless and rude. Anna actually disconnected my chat session when I asked her to specifically address my question or give me to someone who could. I will be searching for an alternative to this device simply due to how insulting and aggravating the customer service is.

The comments are the same all over the internet. MagicJack sucks. The customer service sucks, the billing sucks, the engineering suck and the product sucks. I have found some information that may be helpful:

I've used MagicJack several years and although some active phone calls get disconnected it's a good product to have and use. I do, however, find Internet Chat Technical support a pretty poor excuse for customer service. Whenever I contact them I carefully and concisely prepare my 1st sentence so that if it's read and acted on my chat session will be short. Despite my effort I find MJ Technicians incapable of reading and grasping the meaning of what's said because they always send me a canned response and then ask question(s) for answers I already provided in 1st sentences. "Julius: I am transferring you to one of our top 10% agents as rated by our customers. Please hold while I transfer you." Gave me to Daphne, a so called experienced person who immediately showed her inability to read and understand simple comments or questions. She then told me things that are untrue and that show she doesn't know particulars of MJ FAX capabilities. She ultimately hung up on me when I said: "I am no longer asking for any assistance at this moment. Please send me the US Postal Service Mailing Address (or his/her email address) of the MJ Customer Service manager."

I have had my magic jack for four years, I used it alot when it was working properly. I renewed my subscription for five years on a special deal for $79.00 a few months before my next year was up. I get a notice stating it was time to renew. I put a total of 14 hours chating with many of their unhelpful Reps. I was told they did get my payment for an additional five years. Well... it expired and they shut me off. I chated for several more hours to find out I was in review (?) they still never told me why or what their review was for. I have been put on High Priority Urgent Matter. That was three months ago. I still havn't got my money or my phone back. i bought a magic jack plus in four months ago and its not working and i cannot get hold of some either online or on the phone. online you have to pay before you can talk to anyone and they dont even have an answer for you, which basically means that your money that you're paying for customer service on the phone just went to waste. over the phone, they only answer billing questions, they refuse to answer anything else even if you curse the crap out of them, they just hang up the phone on you. i bought two magic jack plus and i will be returning both of them. magic jack sucks.

I've had MJ for almost 3 years. In the beginning, the sound was poor but has improved a lot. Three weeks ago, the part that plugs into the USB, fell out of the MJ so it cannot connect to my laptop. I contacted "customer NO service", 5 times, totaling more than 7 hours of "chatting", was told that if I paid $10.43, they would expidite sending me a replacement. Well, that was almost 3 weeks ago -- NO MJ REPLACEMENT. How sad that a "communications company" does not communicate! Meanwhile, my credit card number is floating around MJ offices and I have no service.

I spend entire 2 days talking to different reps online trying to fix a new device which I had working only for one day. Every time I had to repeat the same things over and over. I was offered the same failed solution by every rep. When reps run out of options to fix problems they simply disconnected me and I had to start over again. Finally, I asked for a replacement since I have 5 years warranty on device and after few hours of continues nonsence, was told that i will be given a new device if I will pay shiping which is $10.43 !! On my question "why I should pay for shiping if device has warranty and worked only one day?" I was told that it is all in warranty and rep hanged up on me!

This SUCKS ! I bought a MagicJack Plus. I have been trying for two month's to get MJ to transfer my number from ATT. The Tech support online is as useful as tits on a ANT ! Ihave been on their website 4 times now, and nothing gets resolved ! They keep telling me that they will fix my problem, and then they will E-mail when it is fixed. They have not E-maied one time, and they have no Phone number to talk to a regular person ! I think that they have the online "chat" support, hoping that you'll give up, and throw the MJ in a drawer and forget it. Good Luck to all that try to get customer support !

I have been a MJ owner (multiple units in different houses) for 3 years. Each time there was a problem I average 2-3 hours with a chat person who could never fix the problem and transferred me on to the dumb "TOP 10% staff" who preceded to repeat exactly the same steps that were previously taken. Each I burned through 4 to 5 hrs with no results and had to give up. Have 3 MJ Plus units that don't work and no one is able to be contacted regarding a fix. Today the TOP 10% person went to the end of her questioning and tests and just hung up after 4 hours. No supervisors are there to up stream information to management or the shareholders. Hope this gets thru but am not optimistic. It would be nice to have the 3 units working phones. Company forbids voice communication although you're in the communication business... a real contradiction.

I have had MJ for almost 5 years with no problem. I got MJ-plus for about 6 months. Not happy with the plus as it is made to look like you can just plug it into a wall outlet...NO IT HAS TO BE PLUGED INTO YOUR WIRELESS ROUTER FOR IT TO WORK. My Mom got MJ 1 1/2 months ago and she got rid of her landline and she has had nothing but trouble. Now I'm afraid to get rid of my landline.
