I am 80 yrs old and finally decided to get a new camera, got the Coolpix and it is now in for repairs for the second time since July of this yr. I only use it in the house but I did take it to a once in a lifetime event to volunteer for the WOUNDED WARRIORS and it did not work so I missed a very imnportant event of pictures. I never abused it. I would never tell anyone to buy one of these. I am sick over this as being on a fixed income I had to really think hard about my purchase and to have it be so inferior is really disappointing.I wrote to Nikon no response.

My 8 month old Nikon D800E camera stopped communicating with my MacBook Pro, while I was tethered, and, then the a/f failed completely during a commercial job. Almost two weeks to evaluate the and repair the problem, Nikon returned it, and, after 20 exposures I experienced the same problem, now they want 7-10 days to complete the repair. Poor design quality, in addition someone that has owned several Phase One backs, Hasselblad's, and Canon products, I will say Nikon has the worse customer service, bar none. There were many ways they could have resolved the situation, however customer retention is not a priority, The Camera has cost me far more then the value of the unit, and that's just a snap shot of the situation. Other then that, great concept!

I'm writing regarding a Nikon EDG binocular which I purchased 32 months ago. I'm a birder and I use them almost daily. The optics are great but the package leaves a lot to be desired. The rubberized coating does not seem to be glued properly to the metal tubes so that there are several spots were the material bulges and has worn excessively. The covering has also come loose in several places were it meets the hard material inclosing the objective lenses. I've already glued it twice. There is also the problem with the focus wheel cover. Good concept poor design. The cover constantly pops loose and I must
remind myself to make sure that the cover is in place each time I use the binoculars. These are high end binocs right up there in the top 5or6 price wise, and I would expect better quality.

I sent my MH-24 quick charger in for replacement/repair over a month ago and you people have not sent me anything except the email below. I am not happy about this and I want you to know that I WILL do everything in my power to either A) be compensated for the work I have lost due to not having a functional camera for my business THAT I PAID $900 for. or B) get my damn charger in my hands before next week. I am a very DISSATISFIED customer you people have not helped me you just keep telling me "oh well we'll have to email our service department.." NO! over four different NIKON associates have told me that and nothing has been done nobody has contacted me and I keep losing work. I want you people to know that I WILL GO TO COURT i have lawyer I already work close with and have discussed the matter with him and with the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU so unless my charger is at my door by next week you people will have a hefty lawsuit on your hands that includes lost wages, and compensating me for faulty equipment. The integrity of your product is disgusting and you should all be ashamed. This is certainly not a bluff.

My friend purchased a Nikon Coolpix camera and the lens is stuck and won't come out. Ironically her daughter just purchased a $400.00 Nikon and the same thing happened to her camera. They are sending them in to be repaired at Nikon, and they are being charged $87.00 and $147.00 respectively. I can't believe that Nikon is charging that unbelievable amount on their products. I too purchased a Nikon Coolpix and if I have any problems with it, such as they had, I certainly would not pay Nikon to fix something that is the company's fault to begin with. I would have to take my complaint to the Better Business Bureau for sure. Shame on you Nikon for not standing by your products and helping your customers out with problems that obliviously is the company's errors in manufacturing.
