Tried contacting customer service by e-mail for replacement parts for our XL-21 directly from the site. Been 10 days, no responses. Tried the chat, got a bot that took me to a pay site! WTF???

This is not only poor customer service, it is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! Pathetic!

This is my first Oreck vacuum cleaner, and I loved it up until it stopped working which was less than 2 1/2 years after I purchased it. I took it to the Oreck dealer in Fayetteville, GA, and was told that they couldn't get the part to fix it since Oreck no longer makes this particular one. Twice now I have tried to use their online chat for tech support, but never get a response. I had a Kenmore canister vac that worked for 20 years so an Oreck one that worked only 2 1/2 years is unacceptable!

I dropped my Oreck off on Nov 25th for anew handle because they are cheap plastic and has broken 3 times!!! I still have no vacuum cleaner, went through the holidays with nothing!!
I called twice to get rude response that the part comes from overseas and it's "out of their hands" & we'll call when the part comes in, no loaners because we'll ppl don't return them?!
This Friday will be 5 weeks without my vacuum cleaner and to think the salesman was trying to sell me another one?!?!
I've been an Oreck owner for over 20 years but the quality or customer service sure isn't even CLOSE to what it once was!

Filters fir my air purifiers have never been readily available
I've been without filters for a year
I ordered and paid for (over $300) 6 months ago
I've called twice and got done silly explanations about a warehouse???
The claims that the filters last 3 yrs is a crock
I would like my filters
I don't want to buy new purifiers

I have an Oreck vacuum cleaner and I bought it because it is lightweight. And that's about all I can say about it. The reason? The bag docking part is made of cheap plastic and as a result when removing a bag that docking part breaks. The bags used to have a little tab on them. You were supposed to pull on the little tab. That would lower the plastic part and the bag would slide out. However the plastic is so flimsy that it would break when the bag tab was pulled. So how did Oreck fix the problem? They removed the pull tab from the bag instead of putting in a better plastic docking part. The result? It's harder to get the bags out AND the plastic still breaks. My vacuum is in the shop right now because of this problem. This is the second time I've had it in for the same problem. I asked about the pull tab on the bags being removed and the repair person said it was removed from the bags because that plastic part kept breaking. Well it's still breaking. I can't recommend a product that has faulty parts and I'll never recommend an Oreck.

I went to local fayetteville, ga office of Oreck to replenish my supplies of bags for my handheld oreck and she would not take my cash or check-only a debit or credit card which i prefer not to use. I cannot tell you how many years i have been buying these bags and you probably cannot either. Plus the bags weren't in a bag but she counted out 12. I never heard the price. I left the store so angry. And she then wants to know if i have a driver's license as i get to the door. If this woman had followed and apologized to me, i might have bought them. If this is new corporate and/or local store policy, you deserve to go out of business for treating long-term customers this way. I would NEVER have treated my customers in my business this way.

VERY MAD CONSUMER...LIVE IN PHILADELPHIA PA.BROUGHT 4 oreck vacuums for my business. They are crap, they have been back to the oreck store a dozen times since I brought them.Only had them 13 months. Ardmore area,I have two their now it is taking them almost two months to fix them. WHY??? Sales man is very Rude.. What can I do. They guarantee their vacuums??? Don't think so.. ok now it's time to call the BBB ON THEM... better business bureau.. whatcha think???

I bought their carpet cleaner machine. First time I used it, I wound up with a huge puddle on my wooden floors because a hose came loose. Had to take it back to them, I couldn't see where to reattach it, they assured me they secured it now with tie wraps & it should be good...WRONG...same puddle. When I called them I admit I was angry, the Owner did nothing to satisfy me, just gave me a lecture & hung up on me!! So rude, so I called back & got a worker, to quote him "go ahead & report us, we are the #1 Oreck ctr. They wouldn't do anything to us anyway". Real nice Oreck corporation, these are the type of people you have representing your company. It's because of this treatment you have lost a loyal customer!! Stay away from the Carle Place store people

When took it in for a tune-up salesman advice we don't cary that model, and tried to sell me another brand for $799.99, and allowing me $100.00 trade in.

I am in need of vacuum bags for my Oreck and I called the local store (20 miles rt from my house). The store is open on Sunday from 12:00 to 5:00. I arrived at 1:30 and the store was not open. I waited around till 2:00 and the store was still not open. I asked the clerks in the next store if they knew anything and was told that the person who should be there has trouble getting there on time. He used to call at times to ask them to put on sign on the door, but the manager said "no more" Altamonte Springs, FL

Not a happy customer! I took my Oreck to the York Pa. store for a check up. The sales person Kevin said I needed a new brush. I told him not now that I don't use it that much, he said that's what everyone says. He was very rude. I will never get a Oreck vacuum again!

Very unhappy customer!
I had taken my Dutch Tech into Oreck in Schaumburg to be repaired. What a nightmare dealing with Maurice. He always tries to sell me a new vacuum instead of repairing the one I have. I paid a over $1,000.00 for my vacuum and do not want to trade it in for one that is only $400.00-$500.00.
I have had nothing but problems when dealing with my Maurice at the Oreck located in Schaumburg IL..
He is extremely rude and hung up on my husband when he called about the repairs they did on my vacuum. i Own 3 Oreck vacuums and have had many years of excellence with them. I am seriously considering buying a Dyson vacuum after all of the inconviences that oreck puts me through every time I need to repair it. I will never refer anyone to Oreck.

I had purchased a cannister vac several years ago and was very satisfied with it, when I had to replace it I bought the upright cannister vacuuum, it is not nearly as good as the first one I purhased, it just doesn't pick up as good as the first one did I am very dissappointed and now looking for another vacuum can anything be done for me the new one is less than a year old. Thank you Jean Sudano
