I love shopping at my Trader Joe's in Nashua, NH. So many wonderful items that have become favorites. I am writing regarding your unsalted, crunchy peanut butter. I have been buying it for years but just can't anymore. It has become so thin and RUNNY! I just put some on my toast and was so annoyed...usually one would use a knife to get it out of the jar and spread it on the toast. It runs off the knife...I could pour it out of the jar! What have you done to my favorite natural peanut butter? Forget peanut butter on a cracker. It's been like this for awhile and now I am done buying it. I would pay a higher price to have the lovely old quality back.

Please bring back exotic orchids back to Pittsford NY.

Posted by Jeanak

My TJs used to sell TJ orchid's exclusively (4 years and prior) but now I seldom find a TJs orchid, mostly Silver Vase. I'm more concerned that none of the South Carolina locations get in the TJs Exotics orchids. My friends in Houston and VA find them most every day. I know that our stores floral come from Daytona Beach which I would think would have more than Phals or moth orchids.

Be careful when shopping at Trader Joe's in Rego Park NY. The manager discriminated against our business partner by running after him as he left the store to take away food that was already paid for saying that they had limits for How much food could be purchase by people of a certain race. This is blatant discrimination and should not be accepted

I have a friend with a visual impairment and she has difficulty (1) grocery shopping and (2) trying to use self-checkout kiosks. She cannot find the barcode on items. I applaud Trader Joe's for maintaining staffed (and friendly) checkout lanes. You help make shopping accessible for individuals with disabilities.

Utterly disappointed in how you're skimping on chicken in your salads;
You raise your prices and reduce quality/quantity- that's indication you think you can deceive your customers - not nice !
Might as well pay Whole Foods and be satisfied!

Thank you to Richie at the Paradise Valley AZ TJ's! He is an outstanding representative for your brand. He helped me find ingredients for a special meat loaf (Wolfgang Puck's recipe) and for a double rich chocolate ice cream recipe as well. Patient, cheerful, and kind - made my experience so much better than I expected it would be. AAMOF I must complement all the employees I interacted with on my trip today. Very clean store, many employees available to assist, everyone was busy BUT helpful. Again, I am appreciative of the work that is being done by Richie and others to help people who are struggling a bit. Thank you most sincerely.

How about you guys getting keto items like sugar free yogurts and things sense you are a healthy store correct it's sad when I go to all the other stores and they have it and are not a health food store

I see you have decided to store and present your produce in cardboard boxes placed on the floor where dust, dirt and bugs will find easy access. It does not make the produce at all more appealing - in fact - it looks like you've had a flood and you're trying to make the best of a very bad situation. Cardboard boxes are in the basement or at the curb for recycle - never for storing food. Ever!

MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY SAYS:

"The phrase "reduce, reuse and recycle" can be a great way to save money and to be more sustainable, but it may not be a great way to store food. Storing food in the wrong container can contaminate food and cause a foodborne illness. Michigan State University Extension recommends that only food-grade containers are used to store food.

Cardboard boxes that have contained raw food may absorb moisture, allowing bacteria to grow, and possibly contaminate other food. Cardboard cannot be cleaned and sanitized. Waxed corrugated fiberboard, used to ship produce, is able to resist moisture, but not completely, which potentially allows microorganisms to grow."

If you go to a market - Eastern Market in Detroit - nobody displays their produce in cardboard boxes.

You do know that dark slightly damp (damp from vegetables stored in boxes) cardboard boxes are the perfect breeding place for palmetto roaches who can so easily scuttle from the floor up a box and hide beneath the potatoes.

Whoever had such a lambrian idea needs to be stored in a cardboard box.

I have been shopping at Trader Joes for 20 years. But, believe me, I will avoid the produce henceforth.

Thank you so much for bring back the original Gluten Free Breads. They are the best on the market. The gluten free.muffins are delicious as well. However the best would be to add a blueberry on to the list. As well please don't discontinue the Corn Ribs, they are amazing. My only other suggestion would be to add a turkey sausage. I known I'm asking for a lot but I hope they are good selections.

I love Trader Joe's and shop there on a weekly basis however the past visit I purchased a package of organic ground turkey and a package of organic ground chicken. Both had a sell by date of September 28. Today is September 24 and both packages are spoiled. I am aware I can return them to the store however I do not have the time to return spoiled meat to the store as I am meal prepping for my daughter. With food costs increasing it is so disappointing to throw away food that should still be useable.

Please bring a Trader Joe's to Hendersonville NC. We want you look at our population growth and realize you are needed here.

Why is it that almost every Trader Joe product has seed oil in it? Are you aware how toxic seed oils are to humans? Trader Joe's has always been one of my favorite stores but as we "know better.... We DO better!" Sprouts seems to care more about the seed oil issue and less of their products have it. As people get smarter we read the ingredients and will spend our dollars appropriately.
What will Trader Joe's do about this seed oil issue?

I am very disappointed that you have discontinued the shortcake biscuits. I was told they were a seasonal item which makes no sense. It's only July 10th, the height of the summer shortcake season.
Please rethink this item and bring it back.

I saw someone posted a Trader Joe's bag which said
I left my heart in SF.
I'm in the Sacramento area and haven't seen that bag here.
I was wondering if I could possibly buy a couple of them and have them sent to me. I was born and raised in SF :)
I'd appreciate you letting me know if this is possible

My family lives in Las Vegas, NV. We love shopping at your store. But, it's across town, please can you consider opening a store in Spring Valley area.

We live in Tulare Ca, and to be able to shop in the closest store we have to go to either north Fresno or North Clovis. We would love to see a store come to either Tulare or Visalia.

I need gluten free products and when I found the double chocolate almond flour cookies, I was surprised & pleased at how good they are (many GF products are not tasty). After buying them several times....you discontinued them. My store is in Kendall (Miami) and I drive almost an hour to get to it, only to find some of my favorite products discontinued. PLEASE consider returning them to stock.

I am so appalled that I went into Trader Joe's on Fallbrook in Canoga Park, I asked if I could use a credit card number from an online in my email, the clerk said he didn't think so his name was Josh, he rang his bell so Captain Rick came over and he told him and he said "No", you can't do that, I said okay I will check with corporate and verify and he replied arrogantly " When you find out you are wrong you can come back and apologize to me" are you kidding, this is the Captain of the store and the cashier was shocked as was I that he said that to me. When I was walking out and he was standing by the door " I said I can't believe you said "I should come back and apologized to you ", Rick replies " you were staring me down " the cashier and I were both in shock that he said " I should come back and apologize to him" what the heck, I said to Josh " you heard him say that? He said " yes" he asked if I wanted a bag, I said " no, and not paying for it " he gave it to me.
Rick's reaction is really scary that I should come apologize to him!
Read the Yelp reviews on this store too.

I bought 2 bags of the everything but the bagel nut duo and on the package it says 1/4 cup is serving size and there are about 8 servings. This is not true. I measured and bagged up the nuts and i got 5 1/4 servings and about 1/8 serving. You need to either put more in the bags to make # of servings true or change your label. This is very misleading

You previously carried Miyoko's vegan butter. You still carry a couple other products from the Miyoko company. I believe the miiyoko's vegan butter sold very well because you discontinued it and replaced it with a Trader Joe's brand of vegan butter. It was so inferior to Miyoko's I bought it once and never bought it again. I have spoken to other people who said the same thing. We would really love it if you would start carrying Miyokos vegan butter again

Many people. Are commenting on your products you change to another brand Examples include. Park cheese. It taste like sawdust , you stoped selling. Bay blend coffee. It was the best , your balsamic vinegar the new version is horrible. Not good. I now have several items to take back I will not be trying anymore or the replacement item . The joy of shopping at Trader Joe's. Is gone. . How sad. For many. Who will no longer trust your store. As it's hit or miss. . When you go to the store you expect. Great quality at. Yes a higher price. That's fine. But to have crappy products at a higher price. We will be shopping a. Whole Foods not hear .

I have been a customer of yours for many years. I drive 30 minutes to my nearest Trader Joe's because my town does not have one (YET, I hope LOL). In 2020 your company FINALLy decided that your caricature names of ethnic foods would be removed and I was so glad. I had been complaining for years but I was one voice. Thanks to Ms. Bedell and your own Kenya Friend-Daniel you began the change to really stand up to your statement. "We are committed to continuously improving diversity and inclusion throughout every aspect of our business. We continue to dedicate ourselves to doing the work, every day, to ensure Trader Joe's is an environment that is safe, welcoming, inclusive, and respectful for all Crew Members and customers." I did not feel included or welcomed or respected when I was shopping for items and saw the way you chose to label your food. It is 2022 and I still see photos of products bearing the racist names on your website and I hope that is an oversight. The name Trader Joe tells me it will be free from high fructose corn syrup, it will be priced fairly and that it will be delicious. You don't need anything else in the name to show us that. Thank you for making the change and I hope your company will continue to grow and know that we appreciate the changes you are making.

I am very happy to see other posts here with people expressing their displeasure in the way Trader Joes is handling the Covid crisis.
Last week I went to the store here in Calabasas California and was not just shocked to see customers who have removed their masks, but the employees!
Are you kidding me?
I have always felt a sort of peace with the way Trader Joes has run their business, with an emphasis on the healthier side, so you can understand my shock when I saw the outright lack of consideration to the patrons by not wearing masks to protect themselves and others.
It is beyond my understanding, when you see over 600,000 people have lost their lives and its worse now than ever!
Sad and disappointing, you can do better...

Posted by kjd

As a loyal (one might say addicted) Trader Joe's customer I am taken aback and disappointed at. The decision to immediately discontinue the mask wearin requirement in your stores. Outside the store, I am a Research neuroscientist and, unfortunately, also owner of a body housing a compromised immune system and millions of unfriendly cancer cells that share my TJ meals and refuse to go away despite the wonders of modern science..

From the start of the coronovirus pandemic, TJ' was THE leader in the supermarket business by rapidly deploying a range of infection control measures.and most importantly enforcing them; all the while maintaining that helpful, friendly TJ style. Masks were required (no jive talking your way in), customer numbers strictly limited, marked required spacing in lines, constant cleaning, Senior/spooked people hours and a host of minor, rather silly but genuine measures were also put in place. TJ's Was the only store I where I felt safe enough to shop in the flesh. Everywhere else it was delivery or preying on friends.

Now you are still the leader, but sadly in the wrong direction, Everybody is tired of this stuff, but the pandemic is not over. Vaccination is taking us to a better place, but this is the time to be carefu. There is no way of knowing if the unmasked hoards in the store are fully vaccinated. There will be the forgetful, the misunderstanders, the liars, the hoax theory believers, the "who cares", and a small number of vaccine non-responders in the mix of mostly honest, fully vaccinated people.

Your employee's are at particular risk. They have to work and come into close contact with hundreds of customers daily. But customers will also be unnecessarily exposed. I will move TJ's out of my self-shop catagory and cut back to avoid burdening friends.

Please, this is one time when it is good to follow rather than lead? We have survived a years, let's be prudent a ndsee how things shake out over the next few months. Don't lead the charge into a third (Fourth? I lose track) wave of CoViD infection.

Thanks for reading my rant (assumption) and please consider rolling back your policy on masks and distancing. I want to come back and enjoy my visits.

Best and be well, Karl

Posted by Tgabecker

What were you thinking? The first to cast a decision on the rushed CDC guidelines???? Do you really want to be included with the same misguided thinking as Walmart? This is not the Trader Joe's I've come to frequent. Shame on you for selling out to the "almighty dollar". You have to realize that upwards of 80% of unmasked customers will be non vaccinated. What about young children and the India variant that will soon cross our shores. I'm moving my business, not that it will matter. I expected much more of your brand!

Posted by Oaktown

Will you please explain clearly, loudly, honestly, completely how your no mask required policy relates to local, state, regional and other mask mandates still in place? That is a BIG missing piece. Costco, Walmart announcements addressed this clearly and succinctly.

Dear Trader Joe's,
I'm writing to ask you to restore "Fig Bites" to the shelves.
I'm a longtime loyal shopper at TJ's. From time to to time you've discontinued one of my very favorite foods. About 15 years ago, it was the curry paste (not sauce), you got rid of. I still miss it. About 6 or 7 years ago you discontinued the chocolate orange and the chocolate raspberry sticks I adored. Please bring them back too.
But most important please bring back the "Fig Bites". I need them for my digestion. I bought a package every week.
Your recently introduced "Fig Cookies" are NO substitute - either taste wise or health wise. The Fig Cookies have almost double the saturated fat (8% vrs 5%), more carbs, more sugars, and a titch more salt. The Cookies seem to have more wheat and less fig. Please bring back the "Fig Bites".

We need a Trader Joe's in the Clairemont area. There's a huge empty store (formerly a Burlington's) just sitting there waiting for you. Please check it out!

Dear Trader Joe's,

I'm personally writing to compliment your friendly staff and excellent customer service that I consistently receive each time I Have visited several of your stores in different areas. I am also impressed with many of your new products-especially your new dairy-free strawberry (oat) ice cream!? However, with that said I have only one question...where is the vanilla and chocolate??? Can you please convince the manufacturer of this product to make other flavors? (If possible). Besides autum is approaching which could mean a dairy-free pumpkin-spice oat ice cream??...Just a small suggestion...?

Redlands Calif requires all to wear a mask and employees do a good job. However Customers are not obeying the rules and when i made a complaint to Employers they said they cannot police customers. The store is crowded and no social distance.

I visited your store on West Alabama in Houston, Texas at about 2:00 pm Today and temperature is in the high 90's and I had to wait 25 minutes in the heat. I am a senior 76 years ago, I also am handicapped I have permanent handicap plates on my car that identifies me as such. I always use a cane. When I spoke to the store captain, Mr. Fuller why I had to wait 25 minutes and he told me that I could come back between 8:00 and 9:00 when the seniors are allowed in without wait time. I told him but I'm handicapped and he insisted that I still had to wait my turn in line. Inside the store there was a line of at least 20 persons waiting to checkout. Which means I would be in the store another wait. He sat me in a chair and I felt like I was in "Time Out" waiting for my turn to check out. What is Trader Joe's handicap policy? I want to know if Trader Joe's is following the Federal guidelines regarding handicap customers. I just wanted to buy 4 bunches of flowers. Could the captain just said come in and get your flowers and leave and he would have had a happy customer. I left almost in tears. Please feel free to call me regarding this incident.

Hello,
I'm a senior at high risk during this COVID-19 pandemic. I am very unhappy with TJs NOT providing curb side pick up. The message this sends is seniors are not important to TJ. I shopped almost exclusively at Trader Joes before COVID-19. Now I'm buying from local vendor who provide curbside pick up Since I don't feel that Trader Joe's has been very loyal to us, seniors in particular why would I go back and shop there after COVID-19 ?

I LOVE TRADER JOE'S (and Aldi!) Morning Trader Joe's group,
My name is Michele Newton and I am from Bear Delaware.... I am SO EXCITED that you will be opening a Trader Joe's near the Christiana Mall in Newark DE. This thrills me because I had to drive 40 minutes to the one on 202 near the PA line!I work for a company called Valpak Advertising we cover DE, PA and a small part of MD I would love to work with you to advertise the new Trader Joe's opening. I would also love to advertise Aldi and all its locations in DE, PA and MD. Can we talk about it?

Your manager Howard in the Metropolitan Ave store needs to change his attitude towards customers. I have been to other stores an the managers are so pleasant. He speaks to customers with such hatred. This man does not belong in Trader Joe's especially as a manager.

Posted by A.

I have reached out to Trader Joes in my neighborhood-- Columbus and ninety third in NYC, and asked that they not only address seniors, but those with preexisting health conditions. Seniors stand in their own line and can enter the store from eight to nine. I have asthma and waiting any period of time outside, makes it difficult to breath. Please include people with preexisting health conditions in your early morning shopping hour.

Greetings
Why are your cashiers not allowed to wear protective gloves at this time? I see that their hands are red and chapped from hand sanitizer and copious hand washing. Good steps, but the only true protection is barrier.

Posted by AA

I am raging mad that you are not providing and requiring your employees to wear masks and gloves when dealing with the public on such a large scale. Legally liable when a judge discovers that it is your policy when one of your workers becomes sick. Instead of worrying about scaring your customers, it shows you care about them and your employees that you provide protective gear! Such ignorance on your part and poor management and PR!

Posted by Senior No Longer a TJ Fan!

TraderJoe's needs to provide senior shopping hours for seniors!!! TJ is not a neighborhood store when it does not help seniors. TJ excuse is that seniors should staty at home and get someone to shop for them.. Seniors are shopping at TJ's & forced to be in long lines and crowded stores! Sorry TJ you FAILED!

Trader Joe's at our 3 closest locations has been emptied by folks stocking up. Wondering if special hours for seniors might be offered on certain days early in the day while shelves are still stocked. Thanks.

I LOVE my Trader Joe's! You guys are awesome!

I live in westchester and have shopped at the westchester store on sepulveda for over 12 years.

My big ask: I am SO worried about our seniors and disabled neighbors during this Coronavirus crisis. Could you please have special early hours for them to shop so that they can get their food safely?

Many thanks

The images coming out of Brooklyn are disgusting - how the hell did you let someone walk out of there with 120 pounds of chop meat? When ever there's a sale on something limit is usually 2 per- in this time of crisis you do nothing to stop hoarding - despicable! Really hope you are sued over this.

I'm a senior citizen in WA state near the OR border. The Gorge. We are more than an hour from your closest stores in either state. Still we've gone faithfully every month to 6 weeks. We won't be going now because we are in the demographic who should not travel. I missed my opportunity to stock up with your fine products and had this idea: why not take online orders of (at least of non-perishable items? You could have some of your employees who must surely be made redundant soon pack up the orders and perhaps others deliver to local areas where we could pick them up (employing more of your folks) or ship via your shipper of choice. Thank you.

Do you want a location that would be highly profitable? Lakewood Ranch, Fl is a planned community that is in the heart of it all. It is growing at a crazy pace and welcomes neighborhoods to the north and south. There is a grocery store, Earth Fare, closing all it's stores on state rd 70 and Lakewood Ranch Blvd. It is a prime location for a Trader Joes store...with parking.

Please please please could you either label your products with respect to the main ingredient OR require all of your Trader Joe branch owners to train their staff giving samples to mention the main ingredient. It truly is an endangerment to people with allergies if they don't. For example today at the Trader Joe zip code 93105 both at the front and back of the store they were offering sample of your artichoke Jalepeno pepper dip for chips and crackers. At no time did either staff member nor on either of the written signs, did they mention that the #1 ingredient is cheese. The casseine protein in cow based cheese is a major allergy initiator for migraines in many many people. It would be more helpful to customers if you would add the main ingredient to the name of a product or at least have owners agree to train their staff to mention the main ingredient.

I went to your store in Boca Raton, FL yesterday and was extremely disappointed in the service I received from the cashier Carly. She did not greet me, kept throwing my stuff I had to tell her three times to not throw my stuff. Her excuse was they were required to work fast. Even after I got her name and told her I would be complaining to the manager she did not care. I didn't even get a thank you for shopping which is sad considering there is so much competition out there. Management's excuse was the store was busy!

Someone from my town -Allen Park Michigan - posted this because we have a recently empty theatre (closed after 77 years - a true landmark)with a large parking lot . We'd love if you would bring a store like this our town as you don't have any locations this direction (we are more southeast of Detroit).

Our old theatre front looks so similar, and the facility is located right off a major road/freeway and withIn 1/2 miles of two others. Our town is delightful and safe and we are just 2 miles from the Henry Ford Museum and Village to the North.

It's a perfect location for a store the city and soooo many surrounding communities would love to have in our area.

Thanks for your attention and check it out!

Sincerely,

Paula Consiglio-Marsh

Purchased Trader Joe's brand Pork Shumai dumplings....pork was the very first ingredient listed, although if
there was a quarter teaspoon in each dumpling that was a lot. Scallions only showed up in one dumpling.
The worst was that 99% of the filling was of some spongy, doughy product, like mushy bread crumbs...do they know? Do they care?

Your employee Jessica , not sur of the last name Pezvson assisted me, she had the same problem and then explained she had a hotline but it's Sunday if I left my information with her she would contact me Monday with all the information, Monday Morning came and my phone rang and she left a full message of everything I wanted to know , What a great customer Service you have, you have incredible staff. I'm a regular TJ's customer living in Berkeley, CA, and often recommend the store to friends and family. I go to the Rockridge store several times a week and do most of my shopping there.

On January 7, my brother and I shopped at TJ's while in Monterey, CA visiting our parents. Both of us became very ill that night, throwing up all night long and continue to suffer from diarrhea and stomach discomfort two days later. Everyone ate the same food but my brother and I were the only ones that ate the black seedless grapes (bar code 00452595, date stamp 01/02/2013. It's obvious to us that the cause of the food poisoning was the grapes. I did not report this directly to the store in Monterey but am doing so now to alert you to this problem and to spare others of the same fate we have suffered. I have kept the original container for the grapes.
