First of all, let me say that I truly love shopping at WinCo Foods. I have been a customer of theirs for years now, and when I have taken others over to shop there for their first time they also have fallen in love with it. Because I care for WinCo, I want them to be aware of one of their bulk items. The name of it is Monkfruit sweetener. It is so good for those that are getting away from regular sugar, and it alone does not negatively affect any organs of the body. When you purchase pure monkfruit sweetener it is a great thing for your blood sugar. But the sweetener that is added with some monkfruit sweetener is called erythritol. It is also a sweetener, but is known for creating heart disease, causing strokes, stomach pain, gas, increasing chances of blood clot formation and bloating. I want WinCo to know about this because they deserve the truth, and I know them to very concerned about pleasing and helping their customers. Thanks for checking this information out. Remember you can research this information online.

To: Winco Management Regarding Lakewood, CA Store
From: A Neighbor and Former Shopper
I learned this afternoon the root reason why I and so many neighbors of mine have shopped less or not at all at Winco. The problem is the supervisors. I will add that this might mean that the anyone reading this email might be a part of the problem too. My experience was with the "supervisor" today at the store. I had asked if she was the manager, and she nodded and said that she was a supervisor.
I would prefer to shop at Winco and let her know that I thought the store was clean and well stocked, but everything seems to breakdown at check out.
I realize that I am probably wasting my time here, so I will end this message without investing more of my time. Her conduct as a worker interfacing with the public was poor.
Winco Lakewood could be more prosperous, the employees have more secure jobs and even better customers. But ultimately there is inadequate store management. Maybe Winco won't pay enough to get decent acting people.
I managed to do just fine in October by shopping more at the other stores in my life: Superior and Walmart mostly and HMart. There was also once Stater Bros , once Smart and Final, and once Vons. I'll try Costco this week and Jethro and Albertsons. Then, I will settle into a new routine. I visited Northgate in September. I'll revisit them too. I will come up with another shopping routine with my new favorite stores.
My family was very happy when Winco opened and were saddened when WalMart opened kitty corner. We supported Winco, but we just cannot in good conscience anymore. Checkout ought to be more fair, considerate, and efficient. More support needs to be given to the checkers and the customers.

On 2/18, I came to Winco in Kent, Washington. The entire cart area was empty. Many of us were standing around waiting for carts. I actually went into the parking lot in the rain to get my own cart from someone loading her car.

I couldn't find the self checkout employee to tell her, so I told a clerk about the cart situation. She was nice enough to tell the self checkout woman, Becky. When Becky was told there were no carts, she gave the poor clerk a dirty look, got in her face, and sarcastically said, "So?"

The clerk quickly went back to her register, and I was standing there disgusted at Becky's bullying, and failure to help. I said. "No? What do you mean by no?" She pointed her finger at the clerk and said, "That was for her." I told her it didn't matter who it was for because it was just rude and didn't solve the problem. She wouldn't give me eye contact, but said that all the carts were out. I told her I realized that, and asked her what she was going to do to remedy the situation. She just shrugged her shoulders and mumbled something about maybe somebody possibly getting them.

It was pretty clear that Becky had no intentions of problem solving the situation, so I said, "There are a lot of people out there waiting. They want to spend their money, but you won't even find carts for them. You're being rude." She just shrugged her shoulders and the conversation ended.

Winco is a store that I enjoy shopping in, though I live in Seattle. I have found the employees to be helpful and professional. The deli and meat department employees are top notch! Becky was a total outlier. I was dismayed that she didn't even give it a thought as to how she was presenting herself. The self checkout line was at full capacity, and I know that customers were witnessing our exchange.

I'm hoping that Becky can go through some training and work on her professionalism with her own peers as well as customers. She is definitely not representing your company in a satisfactory manner.

My husband wrecked our car on his way to Winco in Missoula limped into your parking lot did his shopping and chatted with an employee about it . On Sunday night my son-in-law went into tell them we needed more time the guy said he could have 24 hours . We are seniors I just got out of the hospital with double pneumonia turned sepsis and on oxygen so nothing is easy for us and your store had it towed. When I spoke with and employee I'm assuming a manager. He said you do it to encourage people not to camp out there. We aren't those people. I live on a limited income and now my car is in a towe yard owing lots of money. It's enough strain with everything else. Where is your heart?

I've been waiting years for the Eugene property on north Coburg Road near Beltline to be redeveloped.
What's the delay?
Don't hide behind the excuse of city and state obstructionism. I know there's too much of that.
Damnit, just get going on the project.

Winco does not care about their customers or laws that are in place in the slightest. We have pictures of all of the people who were violating the 6 foot distancing and the mask mandate. For some reason, winco seems to be under the impression that their corporate policies are above state laws and safety mandates. They WILL be turned in to the state for their lack of responsibility and we'll see how much the "employee owned" business likes losing money on huge fines and threat of losing their business license. Has always been a pain to shop there anyway since they never have more than 3 checkstands open, with lines clear up the aisle, back to the meat department. They obviously don't need my money any longer.

Winco
Tiya customer service representative

Made a racial comment to another customer do you know why I did that?

The customer (in front of me) answered yes! I know why you did that. As a two hour conversation about the customer who was in line (which was me.)
I was never addressed. (appropriately) that I should not put my groceries on the conveyor belt Until after the other customer was completely paid and bagged her groceries.

So while they were talking about me and conversing I said "I'm more than 6 feet away from the other the customer." Then the two women (employee and customer ) started talking again and said they're red lines on the floor for a reason instead of addressing me. I believe this is the most unprofessional conversation I've ever seen with somebody who is working for an employer..

I believe this is the most unprofessional conversation I've ever seen with somebody who is working for an employer.

Then she waited an extra 2 minutes to ring me up to be passive aggressive. But when the person put all their stuff on the conveyor belt behind me who was Filipino she never ever said anything to that customer. So I asked her are you going to tell this customer the same thing you told me she kept her head down and didn't respond for over 30 seconds while the woman kept putting her groceries on the conveyor belt. She pretended to act like she didn't hear me she pretended to act like she didn't see it to keep her head down this is the most inappropriate behavior I've ever seen.

I've shopped at Winco several times and it's interesting because, when the person is paying they've always told me to put the stuff on the conveyor belt so I believe there should be training done so each customer service representative does the same thing and do not rep sent the company in strife. From the point of pain to loading at the very end of the conveyor belt it is more than 6 feet. But to bring my groceries up to the front of the conveyor belt on purpose and then to ask somebody do you know why I did that is completely unprofessional and inappropriate. I truly feel the customer service representative was trying to get me to respond in a negative manner or say something inappropriate. Customer service representative tried several times to engage me in a negative connotation .
That did not happen because, I am a professional.

All lives matter no matter what color. I'm 1/2 Hispanic I'm blonde hair blue-eyed and my last name is Quintana.
My granddaughter who's with me is half African-American: and Hispanic.

My granddaughter asked me why is that woman treating you that way grandma. (5 years old)

And when there were still people waiting in line and I was bagging my groceries TIYA went to help the woman Who check out after me.

Why isn't Winco requiring vendors stocking shelves, and customers to wear masks in CA, when the governor is requiring it. Shame on WinCo

June 26th midnight mandatory face mask was made legal in Salt Lake County, Utah. My brother and I were shopping at the store located approximately. 2100 south Main street South Salt Lake City (located in Salt Lake County, Utah). I asked one employee about wearing the face mask and he satiated only needed to be worn when on the clock. One wearing over mouth only a few wearing masks and the rest not wearing maska at all. None of the stockers we were by showing respect to customers regarding social distancing. Pretty discussed with management not answering my call to addresss these issues so here I am. Expecting feed back as I am planning on posting this on social media. Oh yes I am also disappointed Winco at least this dtore does not respect their patrons enough to follow the law.

INEXCUSABLE. Went shopping today. Not a single employee with a mask. Called the Eagle store and commented about the lack of masks. Answer, "Ok" and a hang up. My friends and I have pledged to NEVER again shop at one of your stores. Guess you're a COVID fatality.

I am a regular customer of Winco in Bakersfield, Ca. I'm not sure I will patron the store any longer after being treated poorly by an employee named Terri. I called to inform her of an incident my adult 21 year old son had after I sent him to by an alcoholic beverage I needed for the dinner we were having that evening to celebrate his milestone in his firefighter career. He took his 20 year old girlfriend, who was attending the dinner, with him to get what I asked for. When he went to check out, he was asked for his ID which he kindly provided. The clerk then asked for his girlfriends ID. Because she was under age the clerk would not sell to him. When I called to ask why my of age adult son could not make the purchase, I was told it was illegal to sell to him when he was in the presence of a underage person. When I tried to discuss the issue with Terri, she became extremely rude and would not let me speak. I'm saddened that this is how she treats her customers and more so, an of age first responder that works hard to protect his community. I'm sure if I went in to purchase the alcohol and had my 18 year old daughter with me, this senecio would have not been played out the same way. I feel he was discriminated against and treated unfairly as well as myself by Terri. Anyway, thank you for your attention. I hope she will be spoken to about her behavior in hopes that she might treat people with a little more respect in the future. Very disheartening to say the least. Karrie Gee :(

I appreciate your Redding store and shop there at least once a week. I have to complaints:
(1) There are never enough electric shopping carts and last week I waited 30 minutes for one and finally left.
(2) I lost my Debit card at Winco. I distinctly remember having it when I shopped on March 13, 2013 at your Redding store. I went to the customer service counter to see if it had been turned in. Your representative told me, that Winco doesn't call the owner of found Debit cards because they didn't have the phone number. When I told her it was public information, listed in the book, she said , "well Winco doesn't call". I cancelled the Debit card and paid for a new one.
It seems that a one minute phone call would be reasonable.
Yes, I know you are busy. but.............
