Original Comment I have been banking in Baltimore since 1956m and never had a problem opening a checking account until recently. My grandson tried to open a checking account and was told two documents that confirmed his address. Why? He has drivers license and that was OK for one verification. The second is more difficult because it seems only ORIGINAL document will do. With current ID usually acceptable online, it seems unreasonable to require hard originals when a copy, or online verification, should do. Why is this a problem?
