Similar Problems As The Earlier Posts. Simple Solution. File With Your Small Claims Court And Name Both Peter Kern Who Is The Ceo And Expedia. They Will Cave Because The Cost To Them For Their Legal Representation Will Be More Than The Refund You Are Asking Them For.

Expedia is not a honest company. The employees are worse than used car sale man. Do not purchase an insurance if you have a problem the insurance will not be reimbursing you; the company name is AON Affinity. If you need insurance, before you book find one that you can get the term and conditions and all the information before you pay for, and before you purchase the ticket. I recommend you may pay a little more but do it with the airline directly. Expedia and AON Affinity are the worst company to do business. If you want to get someone to help you, the phone numbers are useless nobody answer them. ONE MORE TIME DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH EXPEDIA TRAVEL AND AON AFFINITY.

for six days I have been trying to reach any office of expedia. I tried , their Manhattan Hq., even Expedia in Japan. No one answers any of those phones. I was trying to help a colleague change his flight from Tokyo to Rochester, NY. Whenever he found a agent, that agent pretended not to be able to find the Reservation #,802.902.629.55, or not to be able to understand the problem, or would refer the matter to another "higher authority" who never picked up the phone. How such an incompetent organization remains afloat is a mystery.

Horrible! Tried booking online and prices kept changing every few seconds! I over paid!! Also the bank of expedia charged me an extra "authorizarion" charge which I can't get back right away, now I have to wait untill they return my $2, 800. Never using them again!! They also say if package price goes down within 24hrs they would refund the difference, don't believe that, not TRUE! HATE EXPEDIA!

Expedia have cleaned out my bank account double charged me for everything all my household direct debits failed because no money left in account several bank charges for this altogether £3,000 pound plus a 600 overdraft plus bank charges. call centre keep us on hold for hours do not answer questions do not reply to emails just get autoresponder messages the fault lies with booking agents who got my name wrong even though I spelt it several times however when it came to taking my card payments my name was spelt right how strange, we are left with no money for our household bills ie rent food utilities and what is more devastating promised refund for double booking this was booked for our honeymoon we are supposed to travel next week and because of this have no holiday money as this has had to try and pay the bills as you still have our money not a good start to married life we can thank expedia that we not only are broke we are not holding out too much for the actual holiday as the rest of the 100s of reviews we have read are all negative I dont know how you all sleep at night

My son had a once in a lifetime opportunity in Iceland. I booked the trip in December, paid for it. Made a slight change and paid $275 for that too. (3)..yes Three days before his flight, he was double booked. Expedia blamed U.S Air, blamed Iceland Air and me, for changing the trip. From Tuesday (hours on the phone daily/ and evening to Thursday night (Corporate Office by then).. Absolutely nothing was changed,no return phone call as promised (Corporate Office). I booked another flight less than 24 hours before departure. NEVER WOULD I USE EXPEDIA .. AND HAVE MADE SURE EVERYONE KNOWS THAT!... Classless, lack of compassion, ethics and any knowledge. You should all be ashamed of yourselves!...

When I logged into My Account and went to My Trips, there was nothing listed. I have a print out of the booking with a Itinerary #. So I called your customer service number and got the Philippines. Your representative kept calling me Shannon which is not my name. Even after I corrected him numerous times, he still continued. I gave him all the information, and he said everything is fine that I do have a booking. Oh Yeah, then why can't the website bring it up using the itinerary #. Why does it say I have no upcoming trips. Will I get an answer, or do I have to go to the corporate offices? BTW, your page is the junkiest thing I've ever seen. I don't want a cute little owl. I want something that looks professional.

I booked a package for 2 people but was booked for one person,,,,i called to fix the problem but was told I couldn't add a extra person to my reservation,,,, your stupid agents tried to rebook me but again made same errors booking me again under my own name so I had 2 reservations under my own name,,,so they canceled that and tried rebooking a 3rd time, each time taking money out my debit card,,,by 4th time I ran out of money and bank denied there re-attempts to recharge there rebookings,,,,than they say they gonna listen to phone conversation to see if its there error and they need 72hours well its now 96hours and they still need more time(run arounds) than they said they cant cancel me cause of the pay out amount, well my trip is only 1600.00 I gave them 425 so whats the payout limit I asked? they don't know they said,,,
I contacyted BBB and FTC on expedia and next will be a attorney if they don't fix there error

Dear Sir/Madam, I'm like many of your other disgruntled customers sick and tired of dealing with incompetent customer flight call centres. I had the regrettable experience of booking a return flight Bris-Bangkok. I then requested to change my flight date/times and was advised it would cost an extra $ 250. I was advised that it was an airline policy and that Expedia don't charge for any changes. I accepted the extra charges and gave my credit card details to the consultant who confirmed my flight had been changed. I then went into my itinery booking and the flights had been changed. A couple of weeks later I checked my flights again only to find out my new flights were cancelled. I rang the call centre twice and waited 20-30 mins each time, no luck. I then rang the following day, spoke with a consultant and he couldn't offer and explanation but asked if I could hold on for 2-3 mins why he checked the reason. 25 later I hung up in frustration. This happened twice more and when I asked for to speak with a supervisor I was put on hold for another 30 mins. I rang again and spoke with another consultant who checked my booking and then informed me that the airline cancelled the booking and it would now cost me a total $440 if I wanted to fly on my requested dates. I checked The airline policy and they have fully flexible fares but I was still told the cost would be an extra $440 for changed. So the total cost going through Expedia would have been $1630. I then went back online and found a fare with the same dates and airline for $1475. So I was going to be penalised for a consultant who booked my changes and then didn't follow up. I have also been lied to by customer support and the flight consultant centre stating that Expedia don't charge for any changes- a blatant lie. After I cancelled my booking with Expedia I was then told by the consultant that it would take up to 8-12 weeks before I would receive my refund. Like many of the other disgruntled customers who have vetted their concerns I won't be using your site for any further travel requirements.

Is the worse company I have ever had to deal with. Last year me and my family booked their vacation through Expedia (believing the website description regarding the hotel) when part of my family arrives there the hotel didn't even have air condition and the rooms were we dirty and full of insects. They left and traveled all over Mexico to find a hotel which took 1 day and a half to find another place. We tried to change our reservation at this point but at the time we couldn't because the prices were too high and the customer service person canceled our flight and we couldn't find another flight. So my whole vacation was ruined because of you guys. They redound my hotel and transportation money but not the flight so they gave me a credit which I wrote I have till July 27 to use. I called today July 21 to book another vacation and they are telling me the credit is expired. Is 700$ we are talking about. Not only that I'm trying to explain the issue but the only answer is the exact same sentence. So my credit is gone they are saying was till jun 26. The only reason I'm waiting until now is nothing else but knowing that I have till July 27. I'm like I will wait and get my honey moon vacation package. I feel that no one is working with me or try to help me. Even if they can't try to get my whole money back they can try to discount my vacation now. Not only my vacation got ruined last year but is the same thing is getting ruined this year. It was Expedia fault to begin with to put false info about the hotel last year which cost me and my family vacation to be ruined and is Expedia fault this year to give me false info about the date last year and steal 700$ from me and say That oh that ticket is expired. I'm beyond sad and I don't know how to explain how horrible dealing with this company has been. I need help and no one seems to care. Please if someone cares about a customer in you office to give me a call or at least express some care about a customer which had no vacation last year and may not have one this year. Please help

May 2012 my sister and i booked a flight to L.A. and she got very ill and we had to cancel. She bought her ticket directly thru Virgin Airlines and unfortuantly i bought mine thru Expedia. Mind you we both purchased the trip insurance. When we canceled we were both given credits. I was told that i had a year to use my credit. Upon calling back to book a new flight im told my credit is no longer valid because the rep failed to tell me that the i needed to book and complete my trip before the day the ticket was issued per the airlines policy. Upon calling Virgin their policy is the ticket should be used prior to the date we canceled. Big problem Expedia says one thing but Virgin documents the right thing and Expedia doesnt want to honor it. I spent all day bascially on the phone being put on hold, hung up on, once they called back and didnt let the phone ring but one time and hung up, then the next rep told me that someone called me back and i sent the phone to voicemail. What a waste of time and money i will never in life or another life book anything with Expedia. They are lier and theifs! Please read this before you put any of your money into this company.

booked air and car which had to be over 21. 5 min later trip confirmation stated over 65 would not guarantee car rate. they cancelled the reservation, but gave me less than 50% refund and then continued toput me on hold for 25 min and then hang up on me. After 30 trips with expedia, never again. Warning, the disclaimers you sign off on are not the full story. Just think about being hung up on 5 times and then having to now make calls to the credit card company.

I was trying to book with Expedia this morning a flight that the website showed at $372. I went through the data entry, and my on line booking was interrupted. I had to call customer service. She informed me that the flight was not $489, but a discount was available. STILL the price was much higher than the advertised. This is a classical "bait and switch" sales technique. I went to Orbitz and got the advertised price of $372. This is a VERY BAD BUSINESS MODEL. I believe this is also an illegal business practice in the United States.

Do not use Expedia,

This is the worst website that I ever deal with, I would never use it again, I were not able to go to my reunion and wedding trip. I lost 475 dollars ticket, I would not stop until I get my money back. They are really annoying, keep you on phone for 5 hours, lady on the phone repeat and repeat like tape recorder one sentence again and again and again. they sold my ticket to some one first class on the plane of 22 people for $1150.yes 1150 dollars, you tell me airplane of 22 connection to larger city first class, oh come on.They are night mere. Do not use this Expedia, do not use Expedia, you will regret.

I booked a flight with Expedia.ca then i cancelled it due to family issue the call center agent told me it's a non refundable ticket but it's creditable, however i called after 2 weeks to rebook & damn i spent more than 3 hours over the phone cuz all representatives keep saying no availability since the original flight was a special fare one I asked to deal with a manager they transfered my call to a guy called Leon he's a supervisor @ the escalation department, i beleive he's not Egyptian like the rest of agents . may be he's European & not located in Cairo, Egypt as well. he was so professional & confirmed my flights in 4 minutes then he offered me a 100$ coupon for the long time on hold with the call center agents..oh finally, thanks god & thanks Leon

They charged my credit card for a hotel within seconds and gave my room away to someone else!! I'm still waiting after 5 days to have my credit card credited back!! Everyone is foreign and speaks broken up English!! That is so frustrating when they can't understand you!!! Never again will I trust Exoedia with a hotel booking. She said her "manager" gave my room away. I never heard of such a thing!!!!!

This is what happens when 3rd and 4th world countiries take American jobs. Expedia is simply NO GOOD. The best thing to do is inundate the corporate office with phone calls. Lastly, file a small claims suit against them when they cost you money, time, distress. Expedia is strictly no good!

On Aug 7, 2012 I was searching the internet for the lowest rate for a specific hotel in Cancun. I found a very good rate for the hotel I wanted on a site other than Expedia, but since I have an account with Expedia and they indicate on their website that they have a best price guarantee, I decided to call Expedia to see if they would match the price I found. I called Expedia and was on hold for over an hour. After waiting forever, someone named Deborah got on the phone. It took over 45 minutes but I took the time to give her the website address and information for the site I saw the lowest price. She saw the website and the price, which was much lower than the price she was seeing on Expedia (lowest price was over $600 less), and she talked me into booking the trip on the phone stating that I would definitely be getting the price difference refunded to my credit card. She said she would transfer me to Customer Service after I booked the trip and they would refund the price difference. I asked her over and over if Customer Service would give me a hard time and she said no. She lied. After agreeing to book the trip - now another hour later - she transferred me to Customer Service. I spoke to someone named Chaz and I explained the situation to her. She said she was not seeing the price difference on the website I directed her to go to. I told her I had a pdf of the website and the price that I could just send over but she refused to accept that. I was so aggravated at this point that I asked for a manager. After another 15 minutes of waiting a jerk named Gino got on the phone after going through my story for the third time he said that he did not see the rate I was referring to. He then said the site I was referring to was not 'dependable' and Expedia could not honor the rate. I was horrified. I then told him that everyone involved was completely unprofessional and I would be writing a lengthy letter to the President/CEO of Expedia with all of their names on it. At the end of the day I wasted three hours for nothing with no hotel reservations as I told him to cancel the entire reservation. Whatever you do - DON'T BOOK YOUR TRIP WITH THIS COMPANY. They don't know anything about being professional or honoring their website claims. I'm telling everyone I know about this because I would hate for someone else to go through this. It is just awful and I hope they go out of business.

Booked 3 flights during my vacation but yet i had a cancellation and changes to my flight almost everyday since booking (i booked a month in advanced). Once on vacation i was unable to enjoy myself seeing as i had to speak with there unreliable, unprofessional, dishonest customer service reps. After speaking with them everyday on vacation for over three hours a day i figure my trouble should have been solved but they weren't. I made it to my second flight and there were no reservations for me. I decided to give them a call back and they weren't willing to connect me with a supervisor, i was hung up on, and transferred back to representative once again. Finally when i spoke to supervisor he looked at my call and said no one was evening attempting to transfer me. I would never recommend Expedia...I want my money back

I asked for cancellation of this reservation, almost seconds upon being notified/when the location of the hotel was disclosed, since it was unpublished. The hotel understood the predicament and had no problems with the cancellation. The location of the hotel was way out of the distance. My credit card was charged right away despite expedia being informed and with no services rendered, which I verified from the credit card company. Despite my notifying Expedia of the cancellation,Expedia still send me thefollowing email the next stay, hoping that I would enjoy my stay. Customer service does not listen, they only proceed methodically, but for the real essence of customer service, nil. I was charged 95 dollars for no service not even a negotiation that the amount be credited to an alternative hotel since I really need a hotel 5 days, as a starting point, from the date the reservation was made to fetch my son in the Catskills area.

Booked 2 days in North Central New York, 1 day through the Days Innn website and 1 day through Expedia.
On Expedia Website I had enter Rome New York USA for my destination and when I didn't see a Days Inn listed I typed in Days Inn and booked a night in Rome. The confirmation sent by e-mail only said ROME but not until I got to Rome and could not find the street, I looked at the confirmation and noticed on the tiny printed address that it said GA. I lost the non refundable charge and I had to find another place to stay at the last minute. I called the helpline at expedia but they could only offer other hotels that they would book for me. I feel I did everything right but the way the website is set up there was no way I could have known that I was not booking a room in Rome NY.I even replied to a survey to see if someone would notice that the only people that would be interested in my comments would be Expedia but I did get a reply that I had not filled out all the questions asked!!!!

I had the worst experience with Expedia and their customer service yesterday when I tried to fly from Atlanta to White Plains NY. I booked my flight on June the 25 to leaving on July 15, at 10:10, when I went to Airtrans ticket counter, they told me that I was not in the system. My I call expedia at 9:20, the agent had me on hold for about 40 minutes, she could not explain, what happen with ticket. She said that airtrans didnot get paid for the ticket. Which was no fault of mind, because expedia charge my credit card. I was the phone for over 5 hours with these folks, I spoke with surpervisors and Mangers and none of them help me, to find another flight out of Atlanta, unless I am gonna pay out of pocket for the ticket. What made matters worse is the the expedia agent refunded my ticket, to which I didnot ask her to. Now they claim no responsibity because I got a refund that I didnot ask for. After 5 hours of battling with them, still no ticket, I ended up going to Airtrans and reserving a ticket for Monday, July the 16th. This is not the way to deal with customer! I want cooperate compliance to investigate the suitation. Because I refuse to be disregarded and disrespected by Expedia

I used expedia for the first time a few weeks ago, and I want you to know it was truly the worst experience I have EVER had with traveling! The support system is so unorganized, and they will not take the time to fix issues. I booked a room in a pet friendly hotel, and upon arriving the hotel informs me they are not pet friendly, after 4 HOURS on the telephone and repeatedly being dropped, I am in tears no where to stay, then they book and charge me for another hotel, and there they do not have power, and the clerk assured me they had called expedia multiple times to tell them to stop booking people there. Then after ANOTHER 3 HOURS on the phone, I finally get confirmation numbers for refunds. Then I do not receive both refunds, so I call BACK again, and the refund supposedly did not go through?? LOL So now I have to wait for another call to confirm. Is this any way to treat a customer????? I never had any time for my vacation, I lost all my money driving down and back and on the phone with people who are not helpful! They love to book you, but do not have any issue...you are totally left out in the COLD! So as my warning to ALL.....FORGET IT!! IF you want the worst experience then by all means! Just be ready to loose MONEY and TIME!!!! I cried that entire day!! Is that a way to relax and take vacation???????????
