Original Comment I had just about the exact issue that a previous person stated. Back in 2009, I was in Home Depot looking for a new drill combo, which I was about to purchase Dewalt. The sales rep told me about this "Wonderful Warranty" that Ridgid offers on their products, and persuaded me to purchase them instead. How could I turn down lifetime warranty and free replacement batteries? Well, this year the chuck broke on my drill, and when I went back to Home Depot, same issue. Warranty people said they never received my registration that was mailed in. Why would someone purchase a tool for a warranty and then not send it in?
