I to was duped by the three report charge when asked for my FREE CREDIT REPORT for $1.00. Nothing on the web page states that there is a charge to view the three reports only that there is a monthly membership fee of $19.95 if you do not cancel your membership within 30 days.
I immediately contacted Experian within 1 hour of opening the account and cancelled immediately. They said they could not refund all of the $31.95 because some of it was to the other two credit bureaus.I then researched the complaints and Ripoff Reports about Freecreditreport.com and saw that there are hundreds of complaints. To prevent further charges to my card I cancelled my card and filed a complaint. My next action is to file a complaint with the BBB and request my Congressman to have this issue investigated.

I thought I was paying $1 for my credit score and $1 for my husbands. I somehow was upgraded to 3 reports and charged 31.95 for each of us. I explained the error and was shocked at how easy it was to accidentally make this mistake. I have been a customer with your company in years past and never had any problems. My husband and I are both out of work and just filed BK with our attorney. I have already seen all our debtors and judgements. I just wanted to see our score now and see if it changes as we try to make payments for the Ch. 13 BK. I only had $25.00 in our bank account to last until tomorrow for groceries for our family. I am now over drawn -$110.90 for bank charges for NSF. We are losing our home and struggling to raise our twins with special needs.

I am appalled at the response I received from your company. Your site gives the impression of a free credit report or $1 to see it immediately. You have miss-lead me by making it too easy to accidentally hit the 3 credit report upgrade. I gave you my credit card information for the $1 fee. I have been a member with your company years ago and was very happy with my membership and kept it for a long time. Now you have changed your website in hopes of getting people to pay you more. You know very well you can write of the reports you requested. I have no use for the reports as I explained my attorney has already filed my BK.

I would think that you would care more about your customers and understand how easily l was led into this mistake. You cost is minimal and a write off. You make thousands of dollars and yet I am now out $131.90.

I wish to speak to someone higher up in your organization who understands how to treat long time customers. I do not wish to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, Rip off.com, Facebook, twitter, blogs, and any and all avenues of how you value a few bucks ( and we know that is all it is to you) over a customer who has supported you in the past and is in financial ruin do to loss of employment and children with special needs. My account is now overdrawn and I my family will literally not have enough food to last the week.

Here is the kind reply I got after I explained our BK and their is nothing for us to dispute or even look at on this report. Our attorney has all of it already in the BK!

...According to our records, you recently ordered a 3 Bureau report and Plus Credit Score for $31.95 plus $0.00 sales tax for a total of $31.95 from our website FreeCreditReport.com, viewable for 30 days. When you authorized us to obtain that product from one of the credit bureaus, they charged us for delivery of that information. That cost was passed on to you.

Furthermore, regarding your request for a refund of your recent purchase. Unfortunately, we are unable to honor your request.

The 3 Bureau credit report and credit score you purchased from FreeCreditReport.com is a one-time only, transactional product and is not part of any membership. We ordered your credit report from the credit bureau, on your behalf, in exchange for a fee. The credit bureau charges FreeCreditReport.com for ordering that report and score. Obviously, we cannot return the information back to the credit bureau, nor can we take the credit report / score back from you.

We encourage you, since you do have the report and score you ordered, to take this opportunity to review your credit report for any possible inaccuracies or indicators of credit fraud. If you do find any inaccuracies, simply go to http://www.experian.com/disputes/main.html and follow the prompts to complete the online dispute process.
