I purchased a Panasonic Blu Ray player that needs frequent firmware upgrades. After not being able to pull the update off of the Panasonic website, I was told I needed to pay for an update disk (even though I felt the issue was with the website and not operator error on my part). Regardless, I paid for and received the update disk, which did not work when put into the player (it read "disk is incompatible). I called back and asked for a replacement disk before I sought service for the player. I was told I would get a call back, which I did and the agent said to put the disk into my computer and see if the update file was showing on the disk. A file does show up, but has a date of 04/20/12 over 24 months ago, and I had updated since then (in 2013). Bottom line is that I have placed several calls to customer service, and online chat, had to wait for calls back, and still have no resolution. I simply want a replacement disk to try to update the firmware and am getting no where with customer service. I have paid with time and money for a disk that I believe is bad.
