I purchased my 2012 Nissan Juke in April 2013. Recently, I was driving when my car began to slow and my break became very tight. The dashboard lit up with warning lights for my battery, check engine, oil and brake. I turned the car off and tried to restart it, it would not start. After a few attempts the car died completely and would not restart. I am very disturbed because my car is new and I keep up with maintenance. I had my car towed to Faulkner Nissan in Jenkinntown, Pa. I was informed that there had been a recall on a timing chain and that could possibly be the issue but they were not sure. Nissan held my car overnight and contacted me the next day around 12pm to inform me of an issue with my fuel pump. It was reported to me that a foreign substance (most likely from gas) had interfered with the car. I am not a mechanic but I use the same gas stations near my house and I have since I bought my car, I am not sure why there would be an issue now. This repair is not covered under my warranty and I must now go through my insurance and pay a deductible. Also, I am not afforded a loaner to use while my car is down which has interfered with my work and other responsibilities. I hope that someone from Nissan can assist me in this process.
