Original Comment I brought a car from Jim McKay Chevrolet,in Feb it was a used Chevy SSR a rare car something you'd think would be taken care of for 21,000 dollars, and would expect it to be if they're slogan is...Come to Jim McKay to buy Quality New and used cars why go to those other dealers we offer warranty's and even free oil changes...this is what brought me to them to purchase a used vehicle so I did.I grabbed the SSR very nice looking truck, was told all the vehicles have a warranty, even a limited one,was promised a key fob and made the 1hr drive three times to be disappointed, My first service came up in March,again made the drive to Jim McKay Chevy in Fairfax, Va to voice some concerns,about things I have noticed, take in mind the weather up my way was bad for a while so I couldn't drive the truck back to them before hand,pull in for service tell them what I fill is wrong expecting the issue's to be resolved,at 70 mph the steering wheel started to shake, when I looked at the tires I noticed slash marks, on top the looked like they we're dry rotten on the outer wall's, water in the marker light's,no tag light's ,2 Bent front rims and still no key fob,they checked it out and came back to see if I wanted them to do any work and, I said what's covered by you guys the wheels are not Safe for a truck with no spare by make and to have 2 bent rims and old tires with all the pot holes in my area.I was told nothing is,and handed a repair order for a grand total of 1900 dollars to replace all of the items I pointed out,Are you kidding me first you want me to pay 22,000 for the truck ,and now in a month you want me to pay another 1900 for things that should of been taken care of before it was sold,this kind of shady business, I think gives you a bad name you would expect this from a little side of the road car dealership with out the Chevy backin. I was wrong so now I'm stuck with the 1900 hundred dollar bill and can't afford to pay it, Nicely done Jim McKay Chevrolet of Fairfax VA,let's take the money from hard working people just trying to get by this Sucks...and now as the weather has gotten warmer I decided to do what I can my self to fix some of the issue, but when I climb under the truck to check the diff and pull the drain plug to check the gear oil level nothing comes out,that's not right so I start sucking out the gear oil to see this thick black gear oil full of metal flakes and looking like it hasn't been serviced in years..Back to the Slogan... Quialty new and used vechical's at Jim McKay don't think so..What if the rear end locked up I would be in the whole for another $2500 how is this quialty..never again don't believe the hype.... You're pockets might suffer a great deal....
