Original Comment I own a 2006 Solara (Blue)and the vehicle is in excellent condition! The only problem that I am having is that the hood looks terrible! It appears to be a paint defect where the clear coat is peeling off and the underlying base coat is exposed to the elements! I live in Alabama so you can imagine that the hood is getting a large dose of heat both from the engine as well as the environment and it shows!!! I contacted Toyota to see if it was something that they could repair seeing that it appears to be a defect in the painting process. I was abruptly told that it is out of warranty and it is nothing that they could do but if I wanted it repaired and was willing to pay for it --- they could fix it right up! What a joke!!!! I doubt very seriously if I would ever own another Toyota because they're good on the front end of the purchasing process but terrible on the tail end!!!
