Original Comment My husband and I have been satisfied members for 10 years until a recent visit to make a return in the optical department in Raleigh, NC,store phone 919-874 0112. I told the attendant why I was there. I provided my receipt, the product and the reason for the return. She said that was not enough information. I told her i was within the time limit to make my return, but she continued to harass me. My husband intervened and told her we do not want the product,we want a refund and asked why she couldn't understand that. She replied that something was wrong with us. What should have been a quick and easy exchange resulted in a war of words. We told her we could take our business to Costco in which she replied go right on. When my husband requested a manager, she said she was the manager. WE was so surprised because this had taken place in front of her two employees. What kind of example is she setting? We finally got our refund. She asked us to take it and leave. I told her I paid our membership and that I didn't have to leave because we had did no wrong. There was no reason for to be so rude and disrespectful to us. We took her advice and went from there and joined Costco. Sad to say, we have encouraged many friends to join Sams. I guess she didn't value us as customers or need our money...she said she had stock with Sams. We were told her name is Beonce Johnson.Later that day I called and spoke with the store manager, Mr.Charles. He apologized and was very comforting. He assured me he would speak to her. I trust he did but it was so heavy on my heart that I needed to share it. I hope she will never treat other customers the way she mis-treated us. My honest opinion is that this optical manager needs to be demoted or fired.Please address this issue with her.
