I had $852.62 on my Venmo account and my account was closed and I couldn't get an explanation of why it was closed and still haven't gotten my money on Venmo and when I tried to get help from Venmo all I get told is that Venmo doesn't have a Customer Support for closing accounts but they only communicate threw e-mail and that can days to get a response from them if you get a response at all so I was forced to get ahold of someone at the Corporate Office and seek help because I've gotten in a situation where I need my money off Venmo asap so if someone could leave a message to my e-mail with a direct line to how I can resolve this problem I would really appreciate it.

The customer service at venmo it's horrible they took a previous account and switch my account from 2014 from 2022 now they making it hard for me to get my money when I have to pay rent I spoke to three supervisors they told me they gave my case to someone that will call me in 24 hours they never called me and then they told me they would answer me by email this is why last time using denmo ever again

Venmo has had over 500 dollars from me and has kept my account frozen since august 24th!!! NO ONE HAS BEEN HELPFUL! Everyone keeps giving me a different answer and says I have to keep responding to the same email. Worst customer service ever.

Venmo Has locked my account since June 28th 2022 I sent in verication info and identification. Venmo is not a Company I would not recommend to anyone. They didn't make me verify when they were taking my money now I want my 2000 dollars they have on hold keep sending these pee on reps to me and I want talk to president or Ceo. Venmo has STOLEN 1,000 dollars in my wifes account. We have exchanged emails back and forth and we have done everything they have asked to "Verify the account" and they keep sending emails back saying they will get back with us later. Only to be followed by, we can't help you.... let me forward you to another department. They were perfectly happy to take the funds out of our account but when we tried to pay from our account, they wouldnt let us and they wouldnt let us transfer the funds back to the original account we got it from. they have locked over $1,000.00 dollars of ours up and they are holding it. This company has shown its true colors and proven to care nothing for its customers. They hold money from accounts that should not be and then take forever to fix the issue. The people who actually can do anything are not reachable. At akl.. that is exactly what I was told by customer service. Whom apparently can pretty much only answer the phone and tell you they are not the ones who can do X,Y or Z.This company has single handedly ruined my holiday by not releasing funds that are for Christmas gifts for my children. If you're smart and like to keep your money then look elsewhere for the services supplied by this company. Thank you for the unnecessary stress and for the embarrassment, sorry I didn't get you anything this year kids, Venmo is holding the money I need for your gifts.. not sure that's a viable answer Christmas morning. Thrh are a joke! Froze my account because j tried adding a debit card my bf has on his. WE SHARE A BANK! I sent them my id ( this id the time ive confimed my id) and bank. Here we almost 3 momths later and sti froze eith 130 of my money. And they say only a specialist can unfreez it. But they dont have a phone onlu email. Fumb lies. I tell everyone i can do cash app. 10 times better

All i have to say i will never be using them again. I have been contacting them for over 2 weeks trying to get my $400 dollars back. My account is frozen and wouldn't accept my card so the account froze. Ive submitted my drivers license and bank statement from the past 90 days. I even put my last 4 ssn and some how nothing adds up and they will not unfreeze my account. This is so messed up. I have a baby and now im struggling because i have no income and thag was the last of my money while im looking for a job.

All I can say is don't use. For a full month if been fighting to get my $60. They said that it's because of another account used my card I cancelled that prepaid card now they are wanting a statement through the bank but its prepaid.they aren't helping me and give me the run around about everything. Worst people to deal with. Then when I asked to speak to a manage I was told that they don't have one on the floor. Bull you have to have a manager. They are stealing our money is what is going on. I am so done with venmo if I ever get my money back I will only be using cash app from here on out. Venmo is ridiculous and they don't care about anyone but themselves. I'll make this easy...when you open a page containing grievances of company so & so, take note of the slidebar to pull the page. When it's only 4-5 mm tall, you KNOW there is a serious volume of posts.
I've spent an entire week trying to conduct a rather substantial payment to a company in the midwest, after one successful transaction elsewhere to an individual. Three parties are hung up in the meantime, awaiting that first mentioned to be completed.
There are NO excuses why a supposedly 24/7/365 financial service lacks adequate customer interface. Their 40-hour [or less] work week is nothing compared to the potential customer base.
The 'chat' is nothing more than animated menu of common issues, no detailed response or eventual connection to a representative.
A longer list of fixes, is pitiful too; regardless how thoroughly examined, only contains programmed answers, not specific remedies. That difficulty compounds when rewording your search only pulls the same answers, and scattered others.
I don't make recommendations for corporate entities - unless their advertising budget provides direct compensation, not some piddling shot at a drawing. Nor do I fill an internal 'customer experience survey' with anything but this "...nothing about customer service has changed in 900 years. If your cubicle-town of 1-year wonder MBA's fail in common sense, nothing we tell you will."
Even BK rewards a burger for a 2 minute exercise.

They have screwed me over so bad. I sold my tanning bed for $1,000. They then put my account on hold, then of course suspending it. Saying that this was suspicious activity. So I sent them screenshot of the messages of me selling the tanning bed also a picture of my ID verify my identity and anything else they ask for. Then it was said that they're going to now investigate my account and for that they'll be taking money out of my venmo account to fund it. Also saying that this could take up to six months, I mean at this point I'm already pretty frustrated. But generally, there's not a whole lot I can do. So about five months later I received an email saying that they are ready to release my funds, but they had taken 200 of it for their investigation. So out of the thousand I had 800 remaining. So then I tried transferring it to my bank to only receive an error message saying that they were unable to do so. So then I sent them a message and then they put my account back under investigation. And then they said they fixed the problem several times now but it never has been fixed I just keep receiving the same error messages. I even tried to open a new bank account to see if that was an issue, it wasn't. So now we're sitting at about eight months and then today I messaged them the only be blown off again saying that they couldn't help me that it's outta their hands. That only an account specialist can do so but I already e-mailed them about 3 1/2 weeks ago and not received an email back currently. so I asked for corporate offices number or at least to speak to a manager and I was told their manager couldn't help me, that they're not account specialist so therefore I could not speak to one. Also I was told that they don't give out their corporate office information and that I'll just have to sit and be patient for them to email me back it's going to take time to resolve this and just kept being told to be patient I got this money almost a year ago that's a lot of money to have sitting around. I have sent them everything verify that this is legit what do you guys think I should do? Do I have a case to sue? I would never recommend ever, ever, EVER, using venmo! (Worst app ever!) They just don't seem to want to help they have horrible customer service and due to their neglect and ill management and desire to actually help people. I lost my apartment, that's why I sold my tanning bed so I could pay my rent.

After reading all the comments about Venmo, and how many people dislike there services, I fall right in line with them. Venmo bans your account for something you cannot control, and is completely out of your reach. I've been banned for so long but I still have $100 in there, and can't get it out. They banned my account, and won't tell me which activities were suspicious because that was the reason for the ban. Well if you don't tell me what I did I can't help them there lol. But maybe Venmo should find a way to please this many dissatisfied customers.

Venmo is no help at all. My account has been frozen since November of last year and MF my funds still haven't been released. They said it would take "up to" 180 days for my funds to be released. It has been well over that time.
Each time I try to get assistance on resolving the issue, I get nothing. I get the same response from each email that I send. The chat line can't help resolve anything and you never get to speak with anyone.

Several days ago, a payment was made to an incorrect recipient via Venmo. I spoke with a representative regarding this transaction just moments after it had been made when we realized it had gone to an individual with the same name as the correct recipient. I contacted Venmo via chat and was told I could not cancel the transaction. I attempted to call as well, with no avail. I immediately contacted my bank to request a Stop Payment, which they did. In addition, I input the correct phone number for the actual Richard Favor and yet the incorrect individual was selected.

I will not be paying this as requested as requested by Venmo, being that Venmo chose to pay the recipient though my financial institution denied it. I made the appropriate attempts to reverse the transaction. I will no longer use Venmo as a method of payment and have been vocal with my friends and family that the company again, made a decision to pay the recipient though my bank denied payment. Venmo does not protect its clients, this is quite apparent.

Venmo used to be great. I'm not sure what happened. I had some issues with my bank and used venmo to transfer my paycheck. Now after 11 days it's just sitting there pending. They froze my account and I had to send my ID, more documents and they realized once again I had two accounts and froze it again. I only made another account because they had frozen the first one and I couldn't get in and they did it again now. Forget getting a response during or after 24 hours. They respond when they want. My husband and I are moving and we needed the money ASAP. We had to borrow money from everyone. I understand things come up but waiting this long is unacceptable. And the agents in chat or phone can't and won't help you after they hand it off to a certain department that can only be reached through email? I rarely file a review, but this has me extremely frustrated. I couldn't pay any of my bills yet because of this and it is way past the first of the month. I am growing very impatient, I am sick of jumping through hoops and not getting anywhere. I would at least appreciate an update on what's going on.

On April 19 2021 I mistakenly sent 600.00 to my venmo which I haven't used in nearly 2 years instead of my current bank account and for some reason venmo is giving me a hard time and the run around, I'm tired of waiting I just want my money back. How can they keep an account active that hasn't been used in 2 years? Venmo is a scam and after reading comments im sure I'll never get my money back

extremely disappointed and angry at the fact that I have emailed over 15 times trying to get my account back and have called personally and chatted with your specialist and I still have no access to my account. I cant believe that not one single person has been able to help all I have been told over and over is that a customer service specialist in a department has been working on my account. this has been since April 14, 2021!!! there has been no urgency whatsoever. I have been a customer for a few years. I was told to upgrade to the new "Varo money" acct. I utilized the $50 advance a couple times, and paid back. Then they say I owe $100 instead! So I call, and they said there was a "glitch in the system " that paid an extra $50! Ok. I see where it happened. I was gonna pay back. While waiting on my tax funds, I checked almost every day . All of a sudden it said my account was "blocked". I call to see why, they said the fraud department closed it and I have to send an email! I did, and it said I'd receive a response in 3-5 business days. Nothing. I call back when I discovered my funds were to be deposited the next day- was told AGAIN that 3-5 days I'd hear as to WHY they shut me down- 2 weeks later, still nothing! AND they are holding my tax $$! Still no explanation, and no $$!

I'm going through the same issue give had $250 of mine for 8 months now there's probably been about Saturday emails I've sent I even received an email saying I can recover my funds and they still didn't let me and I received another email today saying I have to wait another 80d 880 days it's ridiculous I'm going to file a small claims suit myself. And if you try and get a hold of a supervisor or manager or anybody on the phone good luck you will never happen they just like to keep people's money I know 7 other people that have never received the money I'm not going to be one of them no matter what I have to do is not even about the money anymore they shouldn't even be in business

My feedback for Venmo is very poor. Since February 4 my sister has not been able to retrieve the $200 that I sent to her regardless of 19 different emails and texts that have gone back and forth. At this writing, nothing has changed! Short of filing a small claims suit I've run out of ideas!

This is not right how are you guys a secure debit card service when you are the people robbing your users. I've been a user since july 2020 in September i transferred money to three accounts i owed money(rent,car note,and pass due bills)and my account was frozen upon no valid reason at all. Its been 180 days and i still haven't got my money and when asked they keep telling me"they will send me an email when my funds are able to be released"which was said 6months ago. I have bills i have to pay off and you guys are withholding my money if you dont want to hear from my layer i advise some type of solution to me getting my money soon.

Venmo is a bullcrap scam. My sister sent me $400 and when I tried to send it to the debit card connected to my account they froze it!!! All I'm getting is a run around. And apparently by the comments this is happening to others as well. Let's get a lawyer and get our money back!

I fell for a scam on January 4th! I immediately contacted Venmo as there are 6 fraudulent transactions on my account. I was advised to change my password. I have a new checking account, a new credit card & changed my email password. I need those transactions removed immediately as my bank did. I am prepared to contact my personal attorney if necessary. Please remove those 6 transactions & release my account. Thank you for your consideration wtith this matter.

You guys suck a**! You steal money from us simply by not allowing us to utilize our accounts once we've forgotten our password. in my case I forgot my I forgot my password my email was no longer accessible to me and my phone number was no longer valid so I couldn't get into my account in any way and then I didn't have my ID which is what they decided they needed to have so I've been out of my account for approximately 3 months and now that I've submitted everything repeatedly I've talked to probably 200 different team members and have to start from ground zero every single chat because of kovid there's no phone calls and emails that everything gets lost in the thread for some reason so I just want to leave a comment and I'm trying to figure out how to call headquarters or the president or somebody and let them know about this faulty corporation that is accruing interest and probably making a substantial amount just from that little way alone from all of us little people who don't have real bank accounts venmo should be ashamed of themselves and I will be deleting my account as soon as they let me they won't let me even delete it because they wanted my ID so they froze it but let other people use my account go figure way to go venmo

This is the worst customer service I have ever dealt with!!!!!! I can't believe the utter lack of helping customers resolve issues. I have been going round and round with 3 different representatives and have gotten no where with them dumb people. Don't worry though because we are going to the BBB and Seven on your side and blasting my issue all over the news and media. It will be such bad publicity for Venmo. Get a clue Venmo. Learn how to treat your customers. Today Venmo thought they did a job well done closing me. When in fact I'm in the midst of an investigation and discovery collection on drug dealers, arms dealers, child sex predators, sexual deviants, murderers all of whom use Venmo. So congratulations. Venmo has hindered my investigation with all information gathered going to the FBI and the District Attorney. I'll continue to nail these scum bags. Just know u did no good for the Venmo community today. You set it back and made it more dangerous. There's people using Venmo to purchase or sell videos and photos with 9 years olds with faces covered in semen and adult male genitals in their mouth. I transfer money from my venmo acct to my bank, and venmo takes the amount FROM my bank instead of TO my bank. The money doesnt show up in my acct tho its just gone.......spent hours online chat trying to get resolved to no avail. $800 lost....

Ok first Venmo is the worst I have seen to transfer money/ unfreeze accounts/chatting/calling support everything is a hassle. Then to top it all off they have full control of hard work earned money you bust your tale off for and its un-fair to throw policy around if y'all stand on it. We have money in our account over 2months we sent in verification banks with our name on it. I can't believe it on Saturday and Sunday I transferred money from my venmo to my bank account through my debit card no problem today I went to transfer the rest of the money and it's saying it won't do it and I have to do a 1-day 3-day transfer? This is now request #4. I am tired of referring to previously assigned case numbers as apparently they make no difference. So here goes again, one more time from the top. On March 20 I sent my daughter (@Haley-Watkins-2) $100.00. Apparently she can not access her account and when she reached to you for support she was informed that if she could not provide the last 4 digits of her Venmo card number then they could not help her. So what now, do we just forfeit the money as some sort of punishment? We need her account be made accessible to her again or the $$ returned to me. This ridiculous, I have a flag on my account that should NOT be there! I've used my card at Walmart before but this time it causes a flag? All of my money is tied up In Venmo to where I cannot touch it. My son needs to eat but bc of Venmo I cannot feed my child, I need gas, cannot to that bc of Venmo. I can't even get a time duration on how long it could take.
