I experienced the most horrible customer service I have ever seen at the Sams Club in Lakeland, Florida, on Highland Road on Saturday. There were about 20 people standing around waiting for roasted chickens that were spinning on the spit. I asked how long before they would be ready. I was told 10 minutes. I waited along with everyone else. Finally, about 20 minutes later, a guy comes out and starts pulling them off the spit and packaging them. As we are all standing there a guy comes up on a trolly with boxes, goes to the front of the line, and the guy proceeds to give him all of the chickens as everyone is standing there waiting in line. I asked if these chickens were all sold. I was told there are some more coming out - about 10 more minutes (last time the 10 minutes turned into 20 minutes). Another lady said, "We were first in line", and he was told that these were all "pre-ordered".

This was the worst service I have ever seen. I walked away as many other did. I am going to not renew my membership and I'm going to Cosco. All it would have taken was a little friendly communication. Tell the people waiting the truth about the wait, that the ones we were waiting for were pre-sold, but that there would be others out after that - something like that. But to let someone butt in front of line with a whole line of people waiting without any explanation is just TERRIBLE customer service. I am tired of the poor service at Sams. It is getting just as bad as Wal-Mart. I don't shop there anymore either. You need to take a page from the play book of Publix or many other stores that treat customers with appreciation for bringing their business to them.

I know this will probably go no where because you really don't care much about customer satisfaction but I had to get it off my chest. You have a great store, but I just won't go there anymore.
