I owned a 2011 Outback. Loved it - sold it to buy a new 2016 which I was told would take 12 weeks. That was July 31st. Now I'm being told on Oct 15th it'll be here late November. Which takes us to 17+ weeks. The standard "there's nothing I can do" from the dealer is probably true - which makes it a corporate problem I'd say. I realize I can back out, buy a Mazda CX5 or a Jeep. But that's not my point. Don't promise what you can't deliver is the point. Or find a way to compensate people who are trying to be loyal. The dealer said i should complain to you - so I am. This is the stuff that can bury you and your dealers on social media. The "they're in such high demand we're having trouble keeping up" is a crap answer for someone who needs a car and is being told waiting a third of a year (think about that will you?)is unfortunate but... So how about YOU do something for the folks who have been loyal to you?
