Worst refrigerator ever! Believe me I've been on this earth just a couple years shy of 7 decades and this is, without a doubt, the worst refrigerator I have ever had. Purchased on 9/26/14 died on 9/25/16. Previous issues before it died were excessive noise, banging and clanking, hairline crack in door handle, refrigerator bulb burned out and could not remove or replace for fear of breaking bulb, ice, block hard, in cold air shut from freezer, refrigerator cold as freezer one minuet then overly warm the next. No consistency with cooling. Now this 2 year old refrigerator has a dead fan. No cooling at all in refrigerator. If all this was not bad enough, fan needed for repair was not available anywhere and their service provider could not get to me for a week or more. With no working refrigerator and all the food that spoiled inside exactly what was I supposed to do. Called their customer service department and I was treated worst than a criminal. They refused to transfer me to a supervisor or manager and when I asked for an alternate number to reach their corporate office I was advised there is no other number. At one point I was either inadvertently disconnected or the rep hung up on me. When I called back I was further advised I was reaching Electrolux/Frigidaire. Electrolux, really, you guys should stick with vacuum cleaners since you obviously know diddly squat about building appliances! I now have a New Whirlpool in my kitchen and I am hereby requesting some type of compensation for the the food I lost and this piece of junk refrigerator. With the amount I paid for this non working refrigerator and the new refrigerator I'm out $1,333.00. Being a senor citizen I don't have this kind of money to throw away. At this juncture I'm waiting for a prorated refund on the extended service agreement I purchased. Rest assured I will never purchase another appliance made by Frigidaire nor recommend Frigidaire to anyone. I don't expect to receive any type of response from Frigidaire but rest assured I plan to pursue this matter as far as the law allows. I don't expect a full refund on this refrigerator however I fell some type of compensation is in order based on the money I have put out for food and a new refrigerator.
