Bad product and store p0licies; buyer beware!<br /> Purchased TEM16040R A/C compressor on 5/17/23 and had it installed the same day at a California State Certified auto repair shop. Worked great for about 2 months and then failed, just blowing hot air. Took it back to the auto shop where they traced the problem back to this compressor. I then called the Napa store where I had purchased it and they said they might be able to replace the part only if certain words or phrases were written on my receipt from the repair shop. Then he told me that they would not assume ANY liability for my labor costs as it had been me that purchased the part from them and not the auto shop?! What a way to weasel out of taking responsibility for selling a piece of junk. Whatever happened to standing behind your product? So now I might be out the entire cost of parts and labor because some billion dollar corporation values the bottom line more than customer satisfaction and making things right. I am 72 y/o, on Soc. Sec. and an Army vet and can ill afford to take a hit like this. I paid parts and labor of around $1,400.00 for 2 months of air conditioning. I WILL NOT ever set foot in a Napa store again nor purchase anything from them. I'm tired of getting shafted by companies such as them.
