After committing to buying a 2012 GMC Acadia Denali recently, I was surprised to find that it has no adjustment to control the power liftgate opening height (like the Explorer Limited has). It hits the garage door above, makes some clicking noises, and stops there. I'm afraid it's on the verge of reversing because of obstruction. I don't see any adjustment on the struts to control how much they extend, like some house doors have. Do you have any alternate shorter struts to limit the opening height to about 2 inches less? Any other ideas? For your consideration on future models: I don't like the 20 inch wheels; they're just too big. Do you suppose they have anything to do with the liftgate hitting above because of increasing vehicle height? <br /> Don McCoy [email protected]
