Original Comment My name is Adrienne Bond and on Jan 5,2013 my husband 6 children and I went to Port Lincoln dealership in Rosalyn NY looking to purchase a Suburban to be exact. We were shown a black 2011 and test drove the vehicle. We wanted a moonroof installed. A bill of sale was written with the installation of the moonroof and a pickup date for Jan. 9,2013. We gave $3000.00 cash with a trade in of a 2001 Chevrolet Venture. Well we were called back by the sales representative for more money. We went back to the dealership with an addititional $1000.00 cash. We were told to put insurance on the suburban. When we called our insurance company the vin number we gave them was bogus. They then said the vehicle was no longer available. We were called to go to the dealership again to see a blue 2009 suburban that would be ready in the matter of days. Well now it's April 27, 2013 and the sales representative stole our deposit and now the dealership will not give our deposit back. We are expected to wait for this person to be caught convicted and court hearings to get our deposit back. We are not the only clients going through this. There's plenty others. This is unfair. It's not my family and I fault that a thief was hired to work at the dealership. Meanwhile my family and I are put on hold with a vehicle since January 5, 2013. I don't think Lincoln wants their prestigious name ran through the mud because of Port Motors in Rosalyn NY! Something should be done about this. We have no vehicle and no deposit back. After he had shook my entire family hand and said congratulations on your purchase. This is disgusting and mentally stressful! I need a vehicle or my money back. He has ruined a portion of my credit and the dealership claims to have no knowledge of what the sales representative was doing! Absolutely horrendous!
