Twice we've have gone through the process of buying a mattress at the Sam's club in Palm Desert Ca. The first time we tried to buy a mattress we were told that since the mattress was special order and that only one person at the Membership Service desk was at lunch we would have to return later. That first time was to purchase the Mattress only so we had to return another day, which we did and ordered the mattress. Mind you we live 54 Miles from this store. The second time, a year later we went to purchase another mattress and were told by an employee name Nida ( I believe that's her name)that's since it's a special order, we could only purchase it through the internet. Another employee informed her that the mattress could be order from the store. At this point we got the same story that Kim was out to lunch and only she could do the ordering. Employee # 2 informed employee # 1 that Kim was there and got her to take the order. My question is, why isn't everyone at Membership Services at that store capable of performing all facets of their duties to provide satisfactory service? This needs to change. The sign over the Membership counter does not read Limited services. Thanks.
