Anonymous <br /> I am writing to the corporate email address as my problem cannot be corrected at a local Sam's Club level. I have been a Sam's Club member for many, many years; however, I may drop my membership. Here's why - I had a situation occur at my local Sam's Club which may or may not become an issue. The other day I made a purchase at the service desk using my credit card which has the chip. As I was ready to remove the card when the machine stated the sale was approved, the Sam's Club employee reached over the top of the counter and grabbed the card out of the machine. She held it up for a moment seeming to study it and then handed it back to me with the receipt. No signature is required, but most importantly, it was not necessary for her to grab my card with me standing right in front of the machine. I take special care with security sleeves and immediately return my card to its holder. In this day and age with credit card scanners being used to steal identities, a person cannot be too careful. I reported my concern to the assistant store manager who seemed to be mildly interested in what I was reporting. I will be watching my credit card purchases to make sure my identity was not stolen. Here's one more thing. I find it totally unacceptable that Sam's Club has decided to write the person's name on the receipt. That is personal information that should not be included in the transaction. Now receipts show your name along with digits from your credit account number. This makes it easier for employees who have access to certain information given on the machines, and others to find out an individual's financial information. Unless I am willing to carry large amount of cash with me to guarantee my name is not listed on my receipts, I will drastically limit my shopping at Sam's [if Walmart starts doing it, you will lose my considerable business altogether]. No other receipt I receive from any other store shows my name. Shame on you Sam's Club for adopting this potentially dangerous practice.
