Hi<br /> I joined K-Mart in 1968 Escondido California working for Meldisco shoe company as a store manager which leased space in K-Mart.. I was 19 at the time and was a newly wed with a baby girl. I was transferred all around California northern and southern. I finally ended up in El Cajon Ca and ran the shoe area for several years. I left Meldisco and went to K-Mart in Sacramento as assistant mgr in mens wear. I worked here until I took a position with K-Mart in Clair mount Mesa California as Toy manager. I left K-Mart Toy department and joined KEI which at the time was K-Mart enterprises Inc. Sporting goods dept. I transferred up and down the state from Watsonville to Semi Valley and ending up as manager in the highest volume store in the state 10th in the nation Northridge Ca. I actually managed to get 90 percent increases over Last year figures in both Sporting goods and Automotive dept. for that first month that I took it over and was on the up swing from there. I breathed, ate and slept this company that I loved 70 to 90 hours a week at most times.I was On salary at the time. By now 14 years had past and I was more in love with company than anyone. In the Northridge store was a Security manager that couldn't stand it that at my young age of 33 I was very good at what I did and this created jealousy. This guy managed to make it look like I was stealing from my beloved company and stacked the deck against me. I lost my job this year as the security manager went way to far and was looking at possible lawsuits I went on to become a Deputy Sheriff in Riverside County Ca. I have always missed and Loved K-Mart and am still sorry that they are shutting down so many stores. I have dreamed most of my life that the Security Manager would come forward and admit his wrong doing but he never did. I am 67 now and will never get to go home but still dream of it. I don't blame K-Mart for what happened as this guy went out of his way to make me look guilty.
