Original Comment Walked up to the self checkout (Midland/ Wadley store) and the previous customer had left without paying. ($9.55) I was moved to another stand. I asked the young lady who was working the area how often people walked out without paying and she said that was the second time today. This was before noon. Could someone please explain to me how self check out and people walking out with groceries helps my grocery bill? It would seem to me those costs are passed on to me, the consumer. Is your loss of revenue not more than hiring a cashier? How much revenue is walking out the door unpaid if there were two done in one morning in one store? There is no way one employee can constantly watch all those registers while helping customers. Sad...
