I bought a 2016 Suburban my 4th Suburban, At only 113,000 miles i heard a noise coming from the top of the motor, my Chevrolet certified warranty had just ran out. It turned out to be the same problem that a lot of the 5.3's are having. Cam and lifters, even as a lot of these trucks are on recall Chevrolet refused to cover the problem. This truck has been serviced by Chevrolet only and was done by the book. So i called the Chevrolet help desk and got nothing but the run around. I ended up paying $7071.00 to have it fixed. I did ask the Chevrolet mechanic if they were going to put the same defective parts back into it. Well guess what he replied yes. The truck sat at Chevrolet for 3 months before it was fixed. From the beginning of October until the end of December. The truck ran great for 3 weeks and the check engine came on i took to them right there and then, its been at the dealership ever since. I am going on almost 7 months. You would be surprised at some of the comments that came out of the so called help desk.Like trade it in an buy a EV Hummer, or i dont know anything about engines, and i could keep going but i will stop. But rest assured they are going to cover it this time so they tell me. The new parts have already went bad.
