Dear GM Management and Employees,

I am writing you today in regards to my 2000 GMC Sierra I am the original owner of this vehicle.

I am not sure who was involved with building and assembling it, but with all the recalls that have been happening, I would like to express my gratitude for my unbelievably dependable Sierra.

I have owned GMC products all of my life and have never had such an incredible vehicle as my current truck. I have looked into purchasing a new truck for the past couple of years, but have realized as my truck has hit 300K miles I would like to drive it for another 300K.

I would like for GM and Mr. Goodwrench to consider refurbishing it to it's original condition.

The following is a recap of my 2000 GMC Sierra, along with items that I would like updated or refurbished:

5.3 Vortex Motor

I have serviced it every 3000 miles since new and it is still running strong. If Mr. Goodwrench thinks it needs anything, please quote me.

The Starter and the Alternator are still originally; please add new ones to the quote.

Suspension

Springs are a little soft.

Tie rods could need to be replaced.

Rack and pinion steering may need a rebuild, as was done at 100K.

New body mounts.

Please quote these items.

Brakes

Still original, amazingly.

I don't know how, but my service center says are still at 65%.

No option on the brakes, I would like a complete overhaul on the brake system.

Please quote.

Interior

For the most part, the interior is in phenomenal shape, which cause a great deal of awe from family and friends.

Seats - Need a rebuild of the driver's seat (fairly worn) and maybe a recovering of the passenger's seat.

Driver's inside door trim is discolored from the Arizona sun. Would like it replaced.

Would like a new carpet kit installed and new floor mats.

I noticed when I test drove the 2014 Sierra, the noise level was quieter. Any solutions to making my 2000 quieter would be great.

If there is an updated stereo system which had direct blue tooth capabilities, I would like that installed also.

Replace chrome strip on driver's door, small area were chrome is bubbled up.

Bearings

I don't know how this happens, but I have never had to grease the front bearings. Please quote replacements.

Hoses

Once again, unbelievably I have never had to change any of the hoses. Please add replacements in your quote.

Transmission

Still in good shape, but please quote installing a 6 speed automatic transmission to help improve fuel mileage. Possibly test the upcoming 8 speed.

I am excited in my pursuit of 600K miles with your assistance and am looking forward to your quote on the above referenced items. Hopefully there may be some discounts involved because of the extent of work that I am requesting.

In summary, I would like to express my greatest gratitude to all of the GM family for producing such an incredibly reliable and outstanding vehicle. This vehicle definitely has become a symbol to me of GM's commitment to quality and in valuing the end user.

Please thank all of your employees in a job well done with my truck. Keep up the outstanding work.

Proud GMC Owner,

Randy Durfee
