Hard to believe!!! Express Scripts has replaced Evista with a generic brand that actually costs $110 more than THE NON-GENERIC.
Two months ago a generic version of Evista came on the market. Express script without notification substituted the generic for the non-gneric raising the price from $160 to $277.
Express Scripts states that they have the right to substitute the generic because the original prescription did not say DAW. When the prescription was writtn there was no generic so there was no reason for the doctor to write DAW.
There is no one to talk to other than "customer service" which says there is nothing they can do. The other answer was that the generic will go down in price in the future! That does not help now.
How do you justify a generic that costs more than the non generic.
I thought using Express scripts was supposed to save you money not cost more.
They refuse to take the medicine back.
