Original Comment Good Day, I am writing in regards to my daughter working her first job at McDonalds here in Reno, NV store 7343 address 1150 Kietzke Ln. Her first day was Dec 17,2014 from 8am to 4pm she had one ten minute break and a 40 minute lunch which if she ate would pay 50% for her meal. The other day she called to see if she had a schedule yet she was told to call back after 2pm which she did each time she called they said call back later she still had not gotten a schedule. This morning she had called again about her schedule and was yelled at by the manager who said you don't need to repermant me you should have come in and picked it up no one called to tell her it was ready. Their training is terrible she had no idea that as a cashier she was expected to get coffee, oatmeal and make mcflurries for customers, when she asked for help the HR who was there did a quick job of making a mcflurry for a customer and then told her to do it with no verbal instruction. There always seems to be too many managers there and they are very unkind to their employees and have no respect for them, I guess it's because it's their first job. I refuse to allow your company to have such people even talk to my daughter as if she were below them just because she's a teen and this is her first job. You need to contact them immediatly and turn this around because this is why they have such a large employee turn over. Common coursty and respect is something everyone should get. I am in hopes you will do something because I am asking my daughter to quit after only one day of work. Her worry is that if she applies for another job it will be held against her for quitting. In closing I want to let you know that if necessary I will have a conversation with management that won't be nice and as a rule I'm a calm person but they have just done the wrong thing when they yelled at my daughter on the phone.
