I purchased a cub cadet 700 commander on April 1, 2016 and experienced an emergency brake failure about a month ago. I went on line to find out if there was an adjustment that I could make to resolve the problem and saw that there is a recall on the e-brake which included the model of my machine. I made an appointment with my dealer and was informed by him that the serial number of my machine was not included in this recall and that the parts to fix it was about $250 not including the labor. I contacted your tech support and was told by a man that my dealer was correct and that he could sell me the parts. I then asked if there was any way my machine could be added to the recall list and he repeated that the dealer was correct and that if I had any father issue with this I was to contact your legal department. I asked for the phone number and he said we are done here and hung up on me. The next day I called again wishing that a more under standing person would answer the phone and go the same results. My case number that was given to the dealer is 041193805. There is 97.7 miles on my machine and I am a 68 year old man, retired from the US Air Force. I fixed C130 air craft for 22 1/2 years and the reason I got the machine is to plow the snow off my drive way and parking lot at my apartment parking lot. I assure you the the machine was not abused and is well maintained. I am just asking for help with what I feel is defective parts on my machine.
