I purchased a David Burke teapot with red enamel coating at the Tueasday Morning store at the Pantops location in Charlottesville, Virginia. As per the directions, I washed it in the dishwasher, and the coating came off and was dispersed onto other dishes in the dishwasher. I had to rewash all the other dishes in the dishwasher. I went ahead and made tea in the pot, however, I don't want to risk getting red paint specks in my tea. I decided to return the teapot to the store but I did not have the receipt.<br /> The sales clerk who seem to be in charge, said she could not except it back without a receipt. Another sales clerk suggested that I accept a gift card or exchange for another teapot. I thought that was an appropriate suggestion, however, when she asked the original person, she said &quot;no&quot; and stated that that was her last day on the job and she said no and added that she did not want to get into trouble. Needless to say this was disconcerting. The second clerk even showed her a photo and description on the Tuesday morning website a photo of the teapot. The other person still said that her decision was final.
