Original Comment On 3/21/23 I brought my 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee ( which has a Powertrain warranty in force).It was coded &quot;Leak Evap System.I was informed it needed a new gas cap for $41.95.I said &quot;fine &quot;.Then I was told it required a &quot;smoke test&quot; and that if I declined that procedure my Powertrain warranty could be voided.Of course I had to agree to have it done...which included antifreeze and cool/flsh for another $91.90.The test showed NO LEAKS.I only needed a new $41.95 gas cap!To my shock my bill came to $729.80!!! I feel I was taken advantage of .. especially since I have done some research to find that the &quot;smoke test &quot; takes 1 1/2 hours.So even at your labor rates this bill is ridiculous and excessive ..<br /> $729.80! Basically for a new gas cap.So YES! I am very upset.<br /> I have reached out to Jeep manager at West Islip NY...was going to look into it...NEVER DID! Also wrote to &quot;corporate&quot; NO RESPONSE ... What a disgrace to treat a loyal customer for over 30 years!!!
