Same thing as some of these others: I was blatantly lied to by the employee selling me my phone and insurance. Same spiel about Sprint gives refurbished phones but Radio Shack gives you the next model up, no deductible, I could even put it in a glass of Pepsi and it's coveted,100%. At $20 down and $9.95 for 24 months it was expensive but so worth it...I thought. I am nearly blind, use text to speech, and cannot read fine print even with magnifiers. He assured me he told me all the facts. Phone screen breaks 8 Months later and come to find only "mechanical failure" of device is covered. But for $125 in addition to the $100 I'd spent on premiums and the down payment, they'd take a look at my phone. I went back to the Shack and asked two employees working to describe their coverage for me. They both said variations on the spiel I heard. Then manager comes out and tells me guy doesn't work there anymore so who knows what he told me. I said I am telling you what he told me. Who educates your employees about your Protection Plan I asked. He said he did. I said because I just asked these two and got two different wrong descriptions. Needless to say, I was furious. I hate the Shack. I was trying to support small business and get one on one attention and assistance and all I got was taken for a ride. Radio Shack, 7405 Greenback Lane Suite B, Citrus Heights, CA.
