Original Comment I after 3 years of service working at petco I was laid off and was givin the reason that the lady that is in charge of the HR department had a hard on for me. I was one of the managers for two and a half years , made more sales in my department then the two previous managers and that's how they treat their employees. we had an inccodent that an associate yelled at children in front of their uncle, thenthe uncle told the manager I got over very fast their parents both died a week before in a car accident. the same employee also called in on a Friday night saing she had car problems but on her facebook pagem," I just got paid who wants to go to the bars" also having a child less then a year old. she didn't get reprimanded for any of those inccodents. just because I placed two items in the brake room that I was purchasing after my shift they had a hard on for me. other employees hide items where customers cant see them so the employees can buy them when they get paid.you better believe that I have a meeting with my lawyer tomorrow discussing the situation of suing this company. my boss didn't even defend me and that's a slap in the fACE TO ME, AFTER I HAD TWO FAMILY DEATHGS THIS YEAR AND NMY AUNT HAD breast and skin cancer after her mom died and just before her husband passed away. I still showed up for work even though most other people would of been with their families. but nwhen the boss usese your PTO when u don't ask for it and you have bills to pay the worker gets screwed. on top of it all with out my knowledge they went through my belongings without me present, that's very illegal. Some people forgot I majored in criminal justice in college. if I was a customer I would go to another pet store whiuch stinks cause they have a lot of great employees that work in this certain store, but if this can happen to me it will happen again to another great employee. I alreadsy know 2 dozen customers that will never shop at that store again. I hope this company is ready for a battle in court cause money is not an option, its the principle, ive never have been fired from a job in my life, I don't even know this wwomen whos a pencil pusher has avendetta against me. that sucks for the manager cause hes going to have to testify in court those exact words he told me. and good luck with the new kid you hired, ive had to fix everything hes done since he started a month ago,hes going to get someone hurt on top of that he just does what he wants and if he doesn't want to stock a section he just leaves it oh excuse me he throws the bags down so they tare so bad we hhave to destroy them. C u in court cause this company just woke up a sleeping dragoon. not all the heads but a lot of them I don't know how they even got a job with this company, that's why customers go to petsmart
