I have had an on going problem with a vehicle I purchased from Legends Toyota of Kansas City for over a year now. The problem started in November, 2014 around the 19th. One cold morning I went to start my car and it just would not start. I called and had my car towed to the dealership where they serviced and thought the problem was fixed, literally the next day my car would not start again. I had trouble starting it almost every day after that as well, on warmer days it would start up but then later in the day I would have to start my car any where from 10-20 times until it would actually start. The whole situation was very stressful, they kept my car for a number of days, and tried to fix the issue MULTIPLE TIMES. The Manager at the time Steve Kurtz, is who I was working with. Help out a little I was refunded some of the money, but is still have the issue with my car, the only reason I kept was the car, was because Mr. Kurtz told me if I kept the car for about another six months he would let me come back and get a better car once I got the balance paid down a little more. But he no longer works there and this whole situation has just been really stressful I don't want to have a car that I will have to stress about every winter and worry about how I will get to my job that is more than 18 miles away from my home, I have never been late on a payment never let my insurance lapse, I have been very patient but I feel like I just got a terrible deal from the start, and even when I went back to see about maybe getting another car I couldn't get approved for one and its basically because I am stuck in this crappy car that will take forever to pay off and I feel like I am not getting any fair treatment and that it would be very simple to pay the car off and let me start over in a different car. And I'm not asking for the best car on the lot, just a car that is reliable to where I am able to get back and forth to work and keep it long enough to establish more credit for a better car. I am very disappointed with Legends Toyota this was my first time financing a car and I really feel like they have mislead me and do not care for me as a customer. I really believe I am in this situation because I am a young black woman with little car knowledge and it is very unfair and unjust. I wish I never got this car and I wish I would have went to a diffent dealership because this had been nothing but one huge let down.
