Hello Kmart Executives,

Today, I went to one of your Kmart stores to purchase a Halloween item. Online, the item listed for $69.99. In the store the item listed for $99.99. I asked your CS rep how I could get the online price. He said: "order it online and pick it up here", (right where I was standing). Ok I said, I will use my phone right now and order it online because my kids really want this plastic thing with a 70% markup. Then can I take it?, I asked.

"No", said your rep. - "you must come back tomorrow, not today". But why? I want to give you money right now and walk out with a purchase, I said. Nope, first you must order it online, then I will have one of my employees take it from you, walk it to the back room, tag it, fill out some paperwork, then my employee will look for it tomorrow while you wait (right where I was standing), THEN you can have it. But not today because I am short-staffed, he explained.

Ahhh. That makes sense, I said! Of course. Add labor hours, send home a willing customer empty handed, lose a sale (and a customer). Well, it's a good thing that retail chains are NOT suffering and closing by the hundreds each month. It's a good thing your are sitting liquid, Kmart. Cause.....well, you know - this kind of omni channel sales strategy could, maybe cost you market share? Wait.....Oh, that's right - never mind.
