Original Comment As a frequent patron of a neighborhood HEB, I enlisted the insight of acting store manager, "Matt" regarding mask requirement. Upon expressing concerns about optional mask policy, he advised of corporate directive to permit patrons to enter without mask. When informed that I was asked to put on a mask by HEB personnel during onset of pandemic, he rebutted, "that is inaccurate." To clarify his remark, I sternly expressed my displeasure for his insistence that my experience was inaccurate. Thereafter, he recanted. I elected to leave the preferred location without standard $700 purchase to shop elsewhere. Needless to say, it was a disheartening experience to witness the blatant inconsistency as well the curt and unprofessional demeanor of the inferior trained Sugar Land manager on duty, "Matt."
