Original Comment I received a cake from HEB bakery. The cake was dated 1 2... which means January 2nd.. today is January 8th. I contacted curbside and was told that maybe the marker was wrong for the date. Then I was transferred to the bakery and was told that the marker was not wrong and that the cake shouldn't have been sold. Then I was transferred to Michele, a manager, and was told that the cake was still good because cakes are sold fast there. There was no resolution. I was told to bring the cake back to HEB even though I had already paid curbside to deliver the cake. With a tip provided! Why do I have to bring the cake back to the store after paying for delivery services??? The assistant manager Michelle had an extremely bad attitude. She said all she could do was transfer me back to curbside so that I could discuss the matter with them! So now I'm stuck with an outdated cake even though the bakery explained that the date was not wrong and it shouldn't have been sold.
