I emailed the following letter to the manager of the Holiday Inn Express hotel located at the Little Rick Arkansas Airport. Her response was somewhat generic and I don't feel my concerns meant much to her. Especially, after reading reviews from other guests of this particular hotel. It seems that issues have not been corrected. <br /> Good morning Joy,<br /> Last night, Sunday November 13, my friend and I stayed at your hotel. It was not a positive experience, and I wanted to relay to you why this was, so that these issues could be corrected.<br /> There were several small things that should be addressed, but most importantly there was noise throughout our stay which became even more apparent once the tv was turned off. I believe this came from the HVAC system. Every 3-4 seconds there was a loud BONG noise that completely disrupted my sleep. Additionally, our room smelled of stale beer. Like beer had been spilled onto the carpeting and the carpet requires a good cleaning. It was truly quite disgusting. <br /> There were other things that are not the norm in the other two to three dozen Holiday Inn Express hotels I have stayed in as a Rewards Member. <br /> Specifically; in our room, 202, the thermostat did not seem to work. Also, the tub does not drain well and I had to shut off the water three times during my shower so I was not standing in two inches of water. The plug-in at the nightstand is loose and our phone charger had to placed just so as to charge our phones. The bathroom wall has an area in need of repair and the shower surround has a crack in it. There were several pillows that were in need of replacement due to them being lumpy. The mattresses were not terribly uncomfortable, but they were not as nice as the ones usually found in Holiday Inn Express. I also had requested a King bed and ended up with two queen beds. No big deal, but worth mentioning. <br /> Additionally, I would definitely like to pass on to you that your front desk personnel upon check in and checking out were polite and cheerful, efficient and professional. We did not use the shuttle but the shuttle driver also was friendly. <br /> That be said, overall our experience, and the condition of your hotel room, were much less than adequate and expected. <br /> I and hopeful these issues will be taken care of for the next guest so that they may enjoy their stay, and look forward to your reply.
