Original Comment I arranged for a rental car at the Ontario, CA airport through AAdvantage using, in part, my flyer miles. While I was on the phone with AA they checked directly with the airport to find out if they could wait for my plane which would arrive after midnight and they said that they would. When I arrived, the counter was dark, and there were 3 of us who were stood up. I ended up sharing a cab to my destination for $35, and when I picked up my car 24 hours later, they were arguing with yet another couple who wanted the email confirmation price honored (which they had right in their iPhone) and had to call the corporate office. I don't know whatever happened to them, but I was never compensated for the lost day of rental or the cab ride I had to take. I will never use Budget car rental again....by the way, the AVIS counter was open.
