Original Comment Before xmas I purchased a pair of pajamas for my granddaughter for 18.99 - Joe boxers so definitely over priced but she liked it, they were part of a BOGO so I purchased a set for my .grandson 17.99. I went to exchange my grandsons set for a bigger pair, I had my receipt. They no longer had the sets, so I picked out 2 different pairs of pajamas. When I went to the customer service desk they told me they would give me $7.99. I said I wanted the value of the 17.99 as that is what is on the receipt the manager (Jay) said I'm not giving you money for something you didn't pay for. I told him I did pay for it - they were a bogo this means I paid more for an item but got 1 free (your deal), all I want is to exchange you don't have the same thing, I'm sitting here with 2 carts full I would like the instore credit for the amount on my receipt. He told me if I returned my granddaughter pajamas he would give me the full amount. She likes her pajamas??? At any rate I decided not to purchase everything in my carts. Then to add insult to injury Mary the "customer Service agent" tells me with a smirk if I make a complaint it will come right back here - in other words nobody is listening! I am a rewards member and I shop at Kmart and sears. They acted as if I were scamming them in some way! I had the receipt - I only wanted the value - in store credit. This was very upsetting - and humiliating as my grandkids were present. I brought those pajamas home and I felt I needed to purchase the new pajamas for the kids but I will no longer be compelled to go to kmart again especially knowing that my complaint just goes back to those people who didn't care to do the fair thing - I will also make a complaint to the better business bureau regarding the BOGO specials and return policies on those specials.
